FEBRUARY

MONEY, CHARITY, PROPERTY, BUSINESS.
You may not be fully aware of just how unreal the situation has become in terms of your money, charity, house, business, flat or possessions. February will alter this, but before you leap into action with decisions, signatures or negotiations, you may want to read the fine print. Mercury is shadow, then retrograde, this month. He will not be out of his final shadow until April 6^th and so the chances of delays or changes increases.

There is a lot of activity in the house of your horoscope which rules everything from banks to taxation, via garage sales and cash loans. You are entitled to feel motivated, but the reality is that Mercury (responsible for communication, negotiation, transportation and information) is not proceeding normally.

Don’t be fooled by the shadow phase, when so much appears to be moving forward, only to move backwards and forwards in subsequent weeks. If it will cost you time and money then get second opinions, seek expertise and be utterly sure of your Plan B.

The unreality of the last 12 months was probably more obvious early on, but by now you may have become accustomed to floating in a different space. It owes very little to the real world, but far from being a strange but tempting alternative, it has become part of your financial or material universe.

The Sun’s conjunction to Neptune will shed light on the situation, rather like a powerful searchlight scanning the ocean floor. The porous and uncontained nature of what has been happening needs this annual assessment. What is even more important is that you neither launch into anything new, nor respond to the issue of the moment, without realising that everything is in state of flux until early April and nothing is fixed, firm and final. With that in mind, you can thank astrology for the update and proceed.

GREETINGS TO THE NEW AQUARIAN
The Billy Bragg classic, Greetings to the New Brunette, could be adapted as your theme tune for February and beyond. Goodbye old you, hello new you. It’s been a long time coming. Neptune was in Aquarius for years, affecting the way you were seen, and the way you appeared. Nothing was clear. Everything was uncontrolled. Nothing was real. Everything was an escape.

If you have heavenly bodies in Pisces (many Aquarians do – you can check at www.astro.com) then the years preceding 2012 were even fuzzier, in terms of what you experienced on camera, in the mirror, or when your name appeared in print or on the internet. Neptune blurs the picture. Who were you, apparently, from the late 1990’s through to February last year? If the reply is ‘Pass’ then that’s perfectly understandable.

The great thing about February is the New Moon in Aquarius, pointing you in a new direction. The absence of Neptune, for the first time in years, gives you eyes to see and ears to hear with. And that’s useful because from the final week of February something entirely new is on offer – thrilling freedom.

THE NEXT GENERATION IN 2013

In the first half of 2013, your relationship with the next generation offers you the chance to expand, explore and gain so much more from life.
Jupiter is passing through your Fifth House, which is associated with Leo and the Sun in astrology. It is linked to the idea of a dynasty and heirs. This applies no matter if you have children or not. Those who are born 20 years or more after you, inherit your influence. Sometimes this cycle points to your son or daughter, but it can also describe work or charity projects involving the next generation. They are your heirs too. In 2013, the legacy you leave to those who come after you, is its own reward.

Classic outcomes of this cycle include pregnancy, new godparent status, babies in the family, successful adoption and approved foster-parenting. Between early August 2013 and the middle of 2014, you will gain from opportunities to explore a brilliant new lifestyle. Jupiter is set to move into the Sixth House of your horoscope. Here are some classic outcomes –

FEBRUARY

WHO ARE YOU, PISCES?
Your February theme is the classic Who song, Who Are You? The planet Mercury is shadow, then retrograde, so you may want to take your time before you answer that question. It’s been a long time since a pile-up like this has occurred in Pisces. Not only Mercury moving backwards, in your zone of image and appearances, but Neptune and Chiron too.

The inner planets lend the situation a certain urgency, as if everything about the way you look or appear, had to be decided by March. Try to resist that external push from other people (or the universe) as what seems so firm and fixed, could change up to three times by the time April is here.

Check the spelling of your name on stationery or advertisements, websites and social media. That’s a basic 101 reminder when Mercury is retrograde in Pisces. If you will be photographed or filmed, or otherwise profiled, make allowances for delays, changes or mistakes by April. If you are changing your name now it may not last. If that’s going to be an expensive alteration then you may want to wait until Mercury is out of his final shadow in April before you go ahead.

The First House of your chart describes your publicity, your name, your personal appearance, your style, your public image and your brand. Neptune has taken up residence here since February 2012 and so you have only had around a year to adjust to the potential for confusion and even chaos which results.

Bearing this in mind, read the fine print, get second opinions and when in doubt seek expertise. What unfolds in February and March is like a video on freeze-frame and rewind, and not only once. YOUR NEW PRIVATE WORLD
Your new private world is an inner space where you can explore your psyche or soul without the confusion that lingered for so many years from 1998 through 2011. Getting to know yourself better can be achieved without losing the plot, which is a radical breakthrough after such a long period of haziness.

Neptune left your Twelfth House, which rules your inner world, in February 2012. However it has not been until now, February 2013, that you have really had the chance to begin an entirely new phase in your life. One which allows you a fascinating year of private time and solitary exploration.

If you kept a secret at any point from the late 1990s through to 2011 then it confused you and it confused others. This permeated every aspect of your waking life too, in the real world. It’s hard to stop something like that seeping in! No wonder you have lacked firm foundations, as when the cover-up is discombobulating, everything else is also off balance too.

From this point forward, no matter if you reveal the secret or not, it will clearly be something you can handle in a very different way. With a sense of exhilarating freedom. Finally (from March) with a wise inner voice.

Sometimes the asteroids manifest in your dreams. One dream figure may emerge in late February and reappear all year. She is a woman, running wild, with a dog by her side. She may also turn up in your everyday life too. Her name is Diana, known to the Greeks as Artemis and she is a powerful reminder that what you cover up and keep below the surface can also make you feel liberated.

YOUR PEOPLE, YOUR PLACE IN 2013

Any issues which prevent you from being completely with your people (the clan, the family, the household) and your place, disappear in 2013.
Jupiter is a great problem-solver and any remaining issues from 2011-2012 will be taken care of, particularly after April. May and June could  be exceptional months when at last you feel you can relax and enjoy the rewards of a particular relative, home, family tree branch or special region. Every Pisces person defines comfort, belonging and security differently. At last, it is time to fully enjoy the people and place you truly feel are yours.

The Fourth House or Immum Coeli in astrology describes where you come from and where you belong. It grounds you in the world. All your hard work in 2012 will pay off in 2013 as your persistent faith in a property decision, renovation plan, family choice, household initiative or local incentive will start to reward you. You will either achieve exactly what you wanted, or find your good intentions and opportunism result in an offshoot event, which is just as satisfying.

You need to get two issues between January and April, but they are easily handled.

The first one involves people who feel they can allow others to dance around them, in order to win affection or approval. That situation is not healthy for anyone and a sense of humour (or solidarity between the competing players) can resolve it instantly.

One example of this might be a father whose former wife, daughters and new wife find themselves waltzing to his tune and wasting their time.
The second issue you will face by April involves a person who has defined his/her identity by controlling another human being, or keeping them small. This person needs to understand that everyone has the right to be empowered and if that means giving up, or letting go, then c’est la vie.
One example of this might be a mother who has no career, and blocks her adult daughter’s independence so that she can continue to be Yummy Mummy…forever. Nobody wins in this kind of situation, as any astrologer who works with the asteroid Ceres will tell you!

These scenarios can also translate into shared households, or couple households. Any problem will vanish in April, though, and until then you can use your famous intuition to help you persist with your dreams.

THE PISCES LEGACY IN 2013

The legacy you leave in the second half of 2013 and first half of 2014 has nothing to do with money or property. It has everything to do with your sons and daughters (if you have children) or perhaps godchildren or younger relatives.

FEBRUARY

THE SECRET LIFE OF ARIES
February and March are good months to step back from what is hidden about yourself or your world. It’s hard to be objective when nobody else can see what is so deeply submerged but it’s worth trying.

There is such a fine line between escaping from reality and losing the plot. In February and March, with a chain of patterns in the confused and confusing sign of Pisces, it is all too easy to lose your way. So don’t go there. You may have become accustomed to the temptation of shutting a door on the real world over the last 12 months and taking a trip down a rabbit-hole like Alice in Wonderland, into your secret life. Or into some hidden alternative to reality.

Write notes and shred them if you must but try to see what is actually going on. And don’t enter into anything new if it’s classified, confidential or mysterious to other people. April is far better. If you must go ahead now then allow for three sets of changes to affect what you assume is in motion, or even fixed, firm and final.

The Sun’s conjunction to Neptune near Thursday 21^st February will shine a strong spotlight on aspects of yourself or your world which others simply cannot see, beneath the surface veneer. Use it, but don’t necessarily act on it, unless you have alternatives and back-ups as the chance of a muddled and messy situation through April 6^th is at an all-time high now.

YOUR NEW SOCIAL LIFE
Perhaps your friends or the groups you moved in, over the last few years, have cleaned up their act or learned about boundaries. Alternatively, they have disappeared or diminished in importance since February 2012. At some point since 2000 you appear to have entered into a completely different reality, thanks to these people, who may have used alcohol or drugs as their entrée in other headspaces.

Alternatively your social life, social media or tribal involvements over the last few years just messed with your head, rather than theirs. Nothing was defined, controlled or contained. Everything was always just slightly messy. Often, it was the sanctuary you were looking for in a world with hard edges and rough textures. However, it would appear that the last 12 months in particular have woken you up to the mistakes that you made.

What happens in February is a soft launch for a different year. You will be attracting very different kinds of female friends, or female-dominated groups. Some are feminists, some are yummy mummies, some are intellectuals. You may also draw in men who are strongly in touch with their female side – fascinating creatures, all of them. Use February to ditch your old ways of socialising or your old approach to groups, in particular.

The faces are changing. Or maybe the personalities are changing, although the same people show up to your dinner parties. You had to try so hard to keep it real and keep it clear over the last few years. No further effort will be required.

MEDIA, INTERNET, PUBLISHING, EDUCATION IN 2013

Media, internet, publishing and education will bring huge rewards by 26th June. Between January and April you will be dealing with some complicated people, but keep your eyes on the prize. It may be multimedia, film, the internet, the book world – or just developing your communication skills in an old-fashioned way. The opportunities to connect to more people, more effectively are amazing, though.

Vesta and Ceres join Jupiter in Gemini until April. Women (or feminine men) who eat up your time and energy could distract you from the real goal, which is to take your written or verbal skills to the next level. Or do you want to master technology, language or the creative arts? Be prepared to do a little fancy footwork with some females. It pays off.

The asteroid Vesta tells me, one man will be ‘top dog’ with two or more women. This situation should really be handled with a sense of humour, but failing that, the women should support each other, rather than compete, and refuse to flatter this male’s ego by vying for his approval and attention. Men can suffer from this game-playing as much as women, so be aware if you are an Aries or Aries Ascendant male!

Ceres is a bigger deal, because she brings people who are intensely emotional and have a big sense of entitlement. There is a tremendous fixation with who ‘owns’ the power or control in a situation. Try to read minds and hearts and be patient. And enjoy the sense of release that comes after 6th April when the issue vanishes! This special project, plan or setting for your communication skills is worth it.

Close to 27th May you will be pleased you persisted, as horoscope patterns not possible for 12 years unfold, and you reach a peak of achievement and happiness. By that stage you will be heard, watched or read in a way you never dreamed was possible. It may be a message T-shirt if you are a designer or your first screenplay if you are an actor. HOME IMPROVEMENTS IN 2013

You will renovate, redecorate, invest in the perfect property or move to a bigger home or better area by July 2014 and could be in your new situation by Christmas 2013 if your personal horoscope agrees. Watch for bargain apartments, land and houses in the final half of 2013 and also the most stunning home exchange advertisements.

A lift in the atmosphere will make everything seem lighter and brighter in term of your home life and property after June 26th as for the first time in 12 years, Jupiter is moving through an area of your chart where you build a true sense of home and belonging.

In the second half of 2013 any issues you have had with family, flatmates or live-in partners will be resolved, as this cycle is about the successful win-win resolution of problems, even if they have been there for years. A member of your family or household will also benefit you. New in-laws or babies, or long-lost relatives, will be good news.

Even the delays, complications or information gaps which occur with your home, household, home town, family or homeland until around 5th August have their place. A real-estate bungle could benefit you, for example, or a property market fluctuation could play to your advantage. Be very careful with the fine print on paperwork, verbal agreements with people like builders or ‘firm’ understandings with flatmates or family members from around 26th June to 5th August as Mercury is Retrograde. Ask yourself what would happen if things were to change, or be held up or cancelled, as the chances are extremely high. This cycle may coincide with freakish weather, for example – or flakey people.

From around 5th August, though, you are on your way. The powerful little asteroid Fortuna joins her father Jupiter in the final five months of 2013 and a real life Wheel of Fortune game will help turn your destiny around. FEBRUARY

YOUR SOCIAL TRIBE
Your social tribe may be on Twitter or at the nearest bar, but from now through April 6^th be aware of the potential for confusion. If you want to make new friends or join new groups now, read the fine print or (better still) read between the lines as you may take a peculiar zig-zag pathway with these people or even find things come to a shuddering halt by April. This is particularly important for plans involving your current tribe, as well. If it involves signatures then read the fine print.

Friends and acquaintances could now manifest Neptune in Pisces, Mercury in Pisces or Chiron in Pisces in a very direct way. You will be dealing with people who rely on their substances to take them away from reality. You will be dealing with people who have a very difficult relationship with the real world and seem to spend most of their time finding ways to avoid it. Now, why would you want to undertake anything expensive or time-consuming with these people in a month like this?

Mercury is shadow almost as February begins, so what appears to be in motion could trick you into assuming something will not change by March. It will – and in fact by April it could alter three times in succession. If this is also going to alter your plans then now is the time to be factor in those changes or delays.

YOUR NEW ACHIEVEMENTS
The stage is being cleared for your new achievements in 2013 no matter if you see your job as your true vocation, or a part-time interest. The confusing situations and confused people from the last ten years have either changed or vanished from your life. Consequently you are free to enjoy February’s decisive New Moon, which propels you into an amazing year of choice, freedom, independence and (if you want it) security.
Along with Neptune in your Tenth House of ambition and achievement, which made everything look fuzzy for so long, you have also endured Saturn in your Sixth House, which rules your daily workload. That cycle ended last year, along with Neptune’s departure too, so 2013 really is year zero for a very different kind of life.

Women and female-dominated organisations with distinct characters, each possessing a huge personality, will turn things around for you from March, with early signs now. You may also be dealing with men whose mothers ensured they developed the female side of their personalities too. It all makes going to work a lot more interesting.

The escapism has gone. The project, plan or role you had for such a significant period in 2011 and earlier really took you away from the real world. It was a bubble to climb into and float away on. If you drove the bubble with one eye on reality it was probably okay. However, if the bubble drove you, it may show on your CV, even now.

WEALTH AND ABUNDANCE IN 2013

Opportunities to solve problems preventing you from being wealthier, or being more abundant, are already here. The reason nothing has happened as quickly or as easily as you would like, is simple. Jupiter has been appearing to move backwards in the heavens which means the high hopes you had in 2012 have not yet paid off.

The situation is already improving from New Year’s Day, when both Venus and Minerva are in Sagittarius, which rules other people’s money, possessions, houses and apartments. Women or feminine men could really help you in January, so the year is off to a great start.

The individual personalities of particular people may complicate the business, financial or property story from February-April, but do not let that put you off. As Winston Churchill once said, several times, never give up! This applies no matter if you are involved with a charity fundraiser or you just want to profit from your time and energy investments. Stay the course – Taurus and Taurus Ascendant people are good at that.

The most important thing to remember is that anything from a change in the value of your local currency, to the escalating price of an antique, could help you enormously. You are one of only two signs (Scorpio is the other one) who can actually gain from the fearful global economic climate in 2013.

There are many examples of the way abundance could enter your life by June, so be open to all possibilities.

You were quite right to put certain plans in motion, or park your dreams with particular people, in 2012. Nothing has been wasted even if you hit delays or complications in October and November last year. The key to greater wealth, prosperity and abundance is your gift for handling people, and although you will be dealing with a passing parade of extremely different personalities in 2013, by June you will be pleased you persisted.

PUBLISHING, MEDIA, INTERNET GAINS IN 2013

It may be a matter of embracing new technology, fixing known problems or just trying a better way to be heard (or read). You have many choices in the second half of 2013, when it comes to publishing, the media and the internet and it’s good to be ambitious. Even old-fashioned ways of reaching people, like public speaking, hold stunning potential.

Take your time as you turn over the new options from June 10th, as Mercury is shadow from that point, and this planet rules websites, newspapers, digital publishing and related issues – like basic communication. It may feel as if you are writing things in stone from that point, especially after a big leap of hope after June 26th. Astrology and history are telling you to bide your time, though, as it will not be until around August 5th that Thunderbirds Are Go.

Before then, anything from a business card misprint to a classic piece of verbal misunderstanding could affect your big new goals. Be patient in July, as even though you want to rush ahead with opportunities to write or speak (or use technology) in a new way, there may be delays or errors. Wait until early August.

With Jupiter’s protective umbrella, though, even random delays or mistakes will only benefit you. Do set up some ambitious targets as a writer, speaker or publisher, though. This extends to life as a student or public speaker for obvious reasons, or to teaching, debating, stand-up comedy, scriptwriting, singing and so on. Once you find the right medium for your message (and the menu will be exquisitely long until 2014) you should be pretty happy with your results.

Between June 2013 and July 2014, Jupiter in the emotionally sensitive sign of Cancer will help you to reach more people, more effectively. The technology is there to help you, so never think you can’t afford the time, money or energy. As you will see by Christmas 2013, if you hold a strong image in your mind of what you want to achieve, then the right niche will appear. The internet changes every time we look at it. YOUR MISSION, POSITION AND AMBITION
There will be so many rewind situations soon affecting your job, volunteer position, student status or other role in life that you may want to fast-forward to April. Your ruling planet Mercury is supposed to deliver a short burst of meetings, news, agreements and smart decisions – preferably before the Easter eggs appear in the shops. Instead, Mercury is spending all of February and March performing a kind of drunken barn-dance.

Bottom line? Don’t trust the information until April 6^th. It could change three times before then. Read the fine print on all paperwork signed to you or by you. The reason this Mercury Retrograde cycle is particularly chaotic is the addition of Neptune and Chiron, which remove all boundaries.

For months now there has been nothing to contain or control what is going on. Everyone is everywhere, or everything is all over the place. It’s been an escape up until now. What you will see in February is the reality of your working life, as a whole.

Mercury will be shadow from Friday 8^th February and from that point forward it would be easy to trust what you hear or read, only to find that additional information comes in later (changing everything) or the first version is utterly wrong. This is the case until the first week of April so adjust accordingly. It’s the kind of cycle when the media mess up. When computers don’t behave. When the post is late or even missing.

This will not affect your personal rebirth, relaunch and renaissance, which continues regardless. However, if you have the luxury of waiting until April for big career moves (or similar) you will have a lot less recourse to Plan A, B, C and D. In the meantime, make sure you have them firmly up your cardigan sleeve.

THE NEW JOURNEYS
The new journeys come with a map, a guidebook and a working compass. The old journeys you took (for over ten years) came with nothing. As a student, traveller, teacher, publisher, writer or cultural exchange queen, you have been given some incredible escapes from reality since the end of the 1990’s.

They had their own charm, in the way that Glastonbury or Disneyland have charm. If you made the mistake of thinking anything or anybody was real, though, you may still be recovering from the most baffling, confusing and confused situations.

The right people, brands or companies have been hovering around you since 2012, ready to assist with your profile or packaging. This was a dress rehearsal, though, as from February you will finally be in a position to relaunch the way you look, or sell yourself to the world.

If you can deal with some fairly standard people problems until April, then by May and June you will be celebrating the fact that you kept the faith. You may want to lose weight. You may want to become a star in the US, Europe, Asia or other new territories. Perhaps you want to clean up your image, or just gain credibility and respect in the right circles.

Manage those around you (and their politics) with the wit and cleverness you are famous for, as these are temporary concerns. The way you look, or appear, will improve enormously and take you into intriguing new territory after April – it may be a shift in your shape, or personal style. It may be a particular title or aura around you. Do invest time and energy, though, as there is nothing wrong with making yourself the priority!
What happens around 27th May is a personal best, even by your standards. The conjunction between your ruler Mercury and Jupiter, followed on the 28th May by Venus and Jupiter, could take you so much higher. Any issues you may have had about the way the world perceives you, will vanish at that point.

If there is anything in your past, or in the darkest recesses of Google, which you would rather people forgot about you (or at least, forgave) then this is your time to sort it out. Jupiter is only in Gemini once every 12 years and he is a potent image-booster for you.

What a long, strange trip it’s been – to quote the Grateful Dead. It only took you over a decade, so you can be forgiven for having a particularly stubborn hangover. Since February last year, though, when Neptune finally left Aquarius, you have been free to see your money, house, business, flat or charity with new eyes.

The trouble with a long Neptune transit like the one you just had is its insidious nature. Because you spent such a long time with a distorted view of reality it become second-nature and consequently it became increasingly easy to spend large amounts of time ‘down there’ submerged in an alternative world which had nothing to do with what actually existed around you.

In February, your ruler the Moon forms a conjunction with the Sun on Sunday 10^th that is reassuring and useful. The new direction is here! No matter what your personal astrological chart looks like, this is the beginning of an entirely new era in terms of everything you own, earn or owe. TRAVEL, PUBLISHING, EDUCATION, FOREIGN TIES

The chaotic dance between Mercury, Neptune and Chiron over the next two months suggests you may want to read the terms and conditions very carefully before you commit to travelling or publishing in particular. Mercury is shadow from around Friday 8^th February so don’t be fooled. What appears to be flowing is actually part of a larger whirlpool which will run backwards from the 24^th and well into March. The final shadow of Mercury won’t be clear until around April 6^th so have back-ups and a healthy Plan B.

If Mercury’s transit of Pisces happens to create problems in your personal horoscope, then the smallest error (a printer’s mistake) or most trivial conversation (a false promise) could result in something far more complicated.

It’s easily managed. If you have the luxury of not launching anything ambitious, expensive or time-consuming in February and March, then find another time to throw yourself into a publishing, travel or academic plan. If you must go ahead (because other people don’t read their astrology columns or just read the wrong ones) then at least use your USB stick, your magnifying glass and your savvy.

Mercury and Chiron sometimes manifest as people. Be careful with those who have a stellium in Pisces, or people who are hard to see, mysterious, slippery, elusive and almost totally lacking in boundaries. Take your time before you throw yourself into anything new with someone best described as cocky. This is a larger issue on the week of the Full Moon, starting on Monday 25^th February.

Your life as a teacher, student, publisher, writer, traveller or cross-cultural explorer will be far more straightforward from April and you will have learned a great deal about how to navigate, by taking thoughtful mental notes during the strangeness of February and March.

2013 – A RIDDLE WRAPPED IN A MYSTERY

Sir Winston Churchill was describing Russia in his famous quote – “It is a riddle, wrapped inside a mystery, inside an enigma.”

If you have the Sun in Cancer (or a Cancer Ascendant) he may as well have been describing you, in the first half of 2013. With so much opportunity, so much space, so much room for improvement in 2013, how can you resist submerging yourself in places and mental spaces that others cannot reach?

By submerging yourself, I mean diving deeply below the surface of what other people consider to be the real you. Exploring your own hidden depths is one way to get this sense of expansion and to experience the most powerful positive energy. You can do this by meditating (it’s free, just borrow a library book) or by pursuing yoga, dream coaching and other spiritual pursuits.

Neptune is in Pisces between February and June, when this cycle is most powerful. This means you need to be careful about some of the belief systems or philosophies which may draw you in. They will speak to your spirit, but if the motive seems to be money or ego for the organisers, be extremely careful. This Neptune cycle has a reputation for fooling people and there are a lot of dregs out there masquerading as ‘spiritual’ beings.
I have had some messages on Twitter from Cancer and Cancer Ascendant people about this. Neptune dissolves boundaries, so if you are pursuing a spiritual or quasi-religious path where people have a poor reality function (or worse, nefarious motives) take care.

That aside, Jupiter’s transit through the Twelfth House (also ruled by Neptune) should be good for you in every way. If you always wanted to kick a secret addiction without telling anybody, now is the time. It has not been this easy for 12 years.

With Neptune in Pisces, a significant number of Cancerians are also pursuing publishing, both in the digital and traditional markets. You may be working on a secret project or writing under a nom de plume. This will work extremely well for you, if you can persist, but do be aware of some people politics from January-April as the asteroids Ceres and Vesta are chasing Jupiter through your horoscope.

YOUR RELAUNCH IN 2013

Jupiter enters Cancer on June 26th and your relaunch will develop in slow but steady stages, between now and July 2014. Jupiter, the planet of problem-solving and growth, will be transiting the First House of your horoscope, which is where you package and present yourself for the outside world. You may get off to a slow start, or find reversals or complications along the way. From 1998 to the beginning of 2012 Neptune was in Aquarius. You have had just one year to recover from the effects of more than ten years of baffling situations in your love life. Even when single you may have inhabited an altered state.

In February 2013 the last of the anaesthetic has well and truly worn off, and you will now be dealing with your former, current or potential partner on completely different terms. It will be worth all the mini soap-operas to stick with a particular team, group or circle of people in the first six months of the year. It is through this network of friends or acquaintances that some of the most wonderful possibilities for your life will unfold, and more than one big problem will be answered by this collection of individuals.

The soap-opera element may feel like an old episode of Neighbours or perhaps the most dramatic moments of Eastenders and Days of Our Lives! Keep going, though, because Vesta and Ceres will not complicate the group forever, and you will love the rewards for your persistence in May and June. Beyond that, the groundwork you have done with this cluster of people will continue to have a beneficial, healing effect on your life, as you will see in the final six months of 2013. At that point the asteroids Panacea and Aesculapia will arrive to turn things around.

There are two issues to look at with your friends (or Facebook friends, if you are still on Facebook). The first concern is gender politics, as a man who manufactures competition between women will be at the heart of a gigantic game. Do you want to play? Consider the waste of time and energy involved and the decision should be a no-brainer. This applies to female Leos and women with a Leo Ascendant, of course. Even male lions should be wary of gender politics, though. Why encourage it?

Ceres in Gemini is a reminder that passion is a wonderful and admirable thing, but also that people who are too passionate, can affect the chemistry in a group. This also applies to an anonymous blog, a pseudonymous book, a CIA contract (seriously) or anything else which is deeply hidden and hard to fathom. THE NEW WORKLOAD
The new workload in your life could not be more different. It arrives in stages, first in February, and then more conclusively in March. It has boundaries. It is contained and controlled. You can navigate it and manage it. All of which makes this very different lifestyle a huge departure from the permanently confused situation you lived with in 2011 and earlier.

It had its advantages as there were large air-pockets of escapism for you to climb inside, bearing no relationship to what non-Virgo people might call ‘work’ or even ‘duty’. As your daily workload is so important to your identity and ego, though, it must be a relief to no longer live in a world where nothing was real and no boundaries was the only rule.

Since February 2012 you have either left particular roles, projects or people behind or you may have found they crystallised, changing their nature and shape. In February you will take the next logical step, towards a stunning five-month chain of opportunities and possibilities, destined to take you higher and further.

By 26th June you could have hit the heights in an alternative career, landed an amazing new job, or won a major award. A prestigious promotion is also possible – and if you define success in less conventional ways, perhaps you will create your own.

There have been plenty of big hints from the universe in the closing months of 2012 but as Jupiter’s cycle in your career zone was also accompanied by Vesta and Ceres, you had people politics getting in the way. In addition to this, Jupiter (the planet of opportunities and expansion) appeared to be moving backwards, which also delayed your breakthroughs.

Hopefully you kept the faith in 2012 and continued to make the right noises, as Jupiter will move forward on 30th January and you then have five months of amazing potential.

People scale the bestseller lists and pick up Oscars under cycles like this. They win landslide elections or win incredible business contracts. Promotions and impressive new jobs are also standard when Jupiter crosses the midheaven of your chart.

Feed what you seed. As you read this you will already have planted a few seeds for future success, but from February, make sure you fertilise them. Jupiter will help you, as he will provide the magic ingredients for a growth spurt on several occasions between then and June.

You will have to deal with one or more complicated women along the way. Men who are strongly feminine may also be an issue. That is nothing you haven’t coped with before, but for a quiet life, you may prefer to avoid any gender politics. You will be confronted with an ego-driven male boss, lecturer, colleague, employee, client or classmate. Your daily workload will be all over the place until April 6^th for all kinds of reasons. Flakey people. Strange weather. Transport strikes. Unco-operative vehicles. Workplace arrivals, absences and departures. Shifting decisions.

You may volunteer, do housework, have a career or study full-time. Just consider now through April 6^th to be a heavy, drifting fog patch which will meander across your path making full clarity impossible.

It’s not only Mercury (communication, information, transportation, negotiation and organisation) turning shadow near Friday 8^th of February. It’s also Neptune and Chiron, the escape artist and the maverick, turning what should be boring, straightforward daily duty into something like an Eighties rock video.

Watch for men, in particular, who manifest Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. Male-dominated organisations may also make confusing waves. Expect to see no recognition of boundaries whatsoever and certainly no respect for them.

YOUR NEW SENSE OF HOME AND CLAN
For the first time in years you can return to the idea of home, family, household, home town or homeland that other people have. One without any confusion or patches of chaos. One that feels grounded, certain and sure.

For over ten years you have been dealing with a total lack of boundaries involving a family member, a flatmate, live-in partner or anyone else who has had a profound effect on your home life, home town or homeland. There may have been more than one face to fit the bill and it may have happened repeatedly. Without boundaries anything and anybody can get in, everywhere, all the time.

This is now history and in February it will feel like ancient history. The old way you had to manage the situation is no longer required.

You also appear to have mistaken your house, apartment, home town or homeland for an escape in the years preceding 2012. Rather in the same way that children see Disneyland as an escape from the real world. From February, though, the place where you live, come from or belong to will look entirely different. You spent years dealing with the most baffling and unclear situations, either because of the particular personalities you were dealing with (unfocussed, slippery, never straightforward) or the projects (no boundaries, no shape, no controls, no containment).

Even the internet itself must have felt like a great big aquarium with no roads, no walls, no barriers and no sign posts.

This is now behind you and the welcome arrival of Diana in Aquarius in the final week, preceding the debut of Minerva and Juno in March, is a good reason to look forward. Muddle, mess and mayhem are history in 2013 as you will very shortly be offered choices which are about freedom, security and problem-solving.

The great escapes have gone. Those roles, projects or plans which used to spirit you away from the real world are a thing of the past. Do you really regret the time out, though? BRILLIANT BALANCING ACTS IN 2013

You can achieve a brilliant balancing act with your former, current or potential partner in the first six months of 2013. The potential was there in 2012 but to date, obstacles or delays have stood in your way. This situation changes from the end of January, when your ruling planet Jupiter moves forward.

You will have some intense issues to deal with together until April. That is why this prediction is about a balancing act, not instant happiness. MONEY, PROPERTY, BUSINESS, CHARITY
What a long, strange trip it’s been – to quote the Grateful Dead. It only took you over a decade, so you can be forgiven for having a particularly stubborn hangover. Since February last year, though, when Neptune finally left Aquarius, you have been free to see your money, house, business, flat or charity with new eyes.

The trouble with a long Neptune transit like the one you just had is its insidious nature. Because you spent such a long time with a distorted view of reality it become second-nature and consequently it became increasingly easy to spend large amounts of time ‘down there’ submerged in an alternative world which had nothing to do with what actually existed around you.

In February, your ruler the Moon forms a conjunction with the Sun on Sunday 10^th that is reassuring and useful. The new direction is here! Mercury is shadow from around Friday 8^th February so don’t be fooled. What appears to be flowing is actually part of a larger whirlpool which will run backwards from the 24^th and well into March. The final shadow of Mercury won’t be clear until around April 6^th so have back-ups and a healthy Plan B.

If Mercury’s transit of Pisces happens to create problems in your personal horoscope, then the smallest error (a printer’s mistake) or most trivial conversation (a false promise) could result in something far more complicated.

It’s easily managed. If you have the luxury of not launching anything ambitious, expensive or time-consuming in February and March, then find another time to throw yourself into a publishing, travel or academic plan.
