COSMO WEB EXCLUSIVE
New moons are great times to make decisions, as your mind, body and spirit are in total agreement when the Sun and Moon join forces. Here’s your guide to important life-turnaround dates this year. Allow 24 hours either side.
If the Moon falls in your own sign, that’s your cue for a relaunch or image makover.

Full moons are demanding times when the pressure is on. If you have the luxury of timing big events or decisions whenever you like, you may want to steer clear of the day of a full moon, and the 24 hours just before and after it. People are split in two when the Sun and Moon are opposite each other. They feel pulled in different directions. Often, events in the outside world (and on the world stage) reflect this turmoil.
If the Full Moon falls in your own sign, you’ll have issues about your boyfriend, husband, girlfriend, wife, potential date, love rival or ex partner to deal with.
Full Moons ask you to put on a command performance. Bravery and heroics are common, even though emotionally you’d rather be at home in bed, with the sheets pulled over your head! That’s why so many battles were fought on a Full Moon. Even if your only battle is over the photocopier at work, you’re still going to need extra help when you see the moon looming large and white in the sky. It’s a good time to nurture yourself.

Your Moon Sign and your love life
If you don’t know your moon sign, go to www.astro.com and type in your date, time and place of birth. The symbol that looks like a crescent moon, on your horoscope, will show you which of the 12 signs the moon was in, on the day of your birth.
Your regular star sign (sun sign) describes what you’ll become well-known for over the course of your life. It shows what you are judged on, and how you shine (or how you sometimes get it wrong.)
The moon sign has a lot to say about your love life, because it rules domestic harmony, cooking, housework, mortgages, leases, in-laws and your chances of creating your own family. If your moon sign is compatible with your partner’s, the chances of successful de-facto or married lifestyles are higher. This also applies if your moon sign is compatible with your partner’s sun sign too.
It’s not enough to promise you happy-ever-after endings, but strong Sun/Moon links do help to cement passion. For more information about the whole of your lives, though, you’ll also need to look at the whole of your horoscope. In the meantime, here’s an okay guide to the men and women who’ll connect best with you after you’ve moved in together.
