Pluto is telling you that all kinds of travel in 2021-2023 depend on your willpower and self-control. This also applies to short trips away, and to all forms of transport (cars, bicycles, motorbikes, boats, aeroplanes). What adds up and makes sense now, has to also be emotionally satisfying or intuitively ‘right.’ That means you feel your hands on the reins. So many x factors will complicate your dealings with finances, property, charity or business now, that you may want to wait until this cycle is over before you start making up your mind. Mercury Retrograde ends mid-March 2021. This is particularly true if you are selling them something, lending them money, or buying/borrowing/negotiating. Whatever the nature of your ‘business’, though, this is a famously flaky and chaotic time, when what is allegedly settled or final, is often subject to change. This changeable period until mid-March 2021, is all about your former, current or potential partner. Leo, you can double that general message if the face in question is Gemini or Virgo. Those signs are ruled by Mercury, so when Mercury goes retrograde, their whole lives tend to up-end. Whatever their sign, you are on a long and winding road until mid-March because Mercury takes you to a full stop, then a dot, dot, dot, then a question mark. Try to work with it. Uranus is still at large in your zone of travel. And we also have your ruler Mercury, retrograde. Cars, taxis, trucks, boats, aeroplanes, trains and buses can be unreliable now, or you will face transport strikes, traffic jams, accident delays, or schedule changes. This is traditionally a wildly unpredictable time to buy a new car, get a truck destined for foreign parts repaired, or to take any kind of holiday. I’d say this even without COVID-19. Virgo, you may want to postpone really big plans until Mercury is direct again. That’s mid-March 2021. And certainly, right now, as you are just getting over Uranus conjunct Mars.

September 23 – October 22
Karma calls from 2002 with the internet, publishing, media, education, academia, and communication issues of all sorts. The Third House also rules a broad canvas – computers, telephones, fax machines, mail – but also your dealings with television or Twitter. Chaos, mistakes, delays, reversals and general SNAFU situations are more likely now as we have Mercury Retrograde. A promise is seldom a promise at this time – and ‘confirmations’ are often anything but. Life is normal mid-March 2021. This is an excellent time for rehearsals and beta-testing.

You’ll now spend a few weeks (and sometimes months, depending on Mercury) obtaining quotes on home repairs, renovations, furniture, domestic appliances, gardening equipment – or more ambitiously, you’ll be researching the property market, as a sale, purchase, mortgage or lease will be on your agenda. And yet you need to remember Mercury’s rule when retrograde do not leave your Plan B, C, D and E out of it! Because you’ll be operating so much on a reverse schedule at this time, you run the risk of forgetting the rehearsal component in anything. So – just because a building quote makes sense, or just because a new lawnmower is a bargain buy – is not necessarily a reason to go ahead without alternatives or a safety net. Joyous escapes and incredible options are available when Jupiter, your ruler, joins Neptune in the Fourth House May-July. Dream bigger in your diary. Finances? Property? As always with Mercury Retrograde, just because you are satisfied that a particular course of action makes logical sense, is not necessarily a good reason to press on. This is particularly true when paperwork or debates are involved, as they invariably will be, if you are talking to your mother about your bank account or e-mailing your partner about a bathroom extension! Try not to behave too much like a computer processing the facts. Astrologers say, don’t sell your house, flat or land when you just had a Mars-Uranus conjunction in the Fourth House. Don’t interview new flatmates either. Why? Uranus is your ruler, and he stands for revolution, radical change, and ‘the world turned upside-down’ no less. The most dramatic scenario here is a complete U-turn from one of the people involved, like a landlady, tenant, relative or flatmate/roommate (it may be you!) The best-case scenario is freedom, space, independence.
