The North Node in Aquarius – July 26, 27
The North Node of karma is in a brand new sign, Aquarius, from July 26 and 27 (worldwide). How is your sign affected? What about your birth chart?
A simple way to find out is to check old emails and paperwork, photographs and letters from December 19th 2007 until August 21st 2009. If you are old enough, also check what happened in your life, from May 23rd 1989 until November 18th 1990. It’s coming back.
This time around the North Node in Aquarius runs from July 27th 2026 until March 26th 2028. During this time you will see symbolic repetition of what happened before. Because the North Node also moves backwards, never forwards, you may find you are stuck in a loop for the rest of 2026, all of 2027 and the first quarter of 2028.

This article is especially interesting not because of what occurred in 1989-1990 and 2007-2009, new jobs in 1989 and 2007 through friends, but because I was made redundant due to the actions of others in 1991 and 2010 (wanted my job and worked behind the scenes to get it). Hi Jessica. Thank you always for your great work and wisdom. I have Venus, Juno and Mars in Aquarius. I semi retired last year and am now focused on planning for my future. I sit on several boards which keep me busy, and have been focused on regaining my health and getting fit. When I asked the Tarot about the North Node I got the ten of wands and the ten of pentacles. Thank you that’s very kind. You only need one Tarot card not two. Go back and try again, as two cards will show you two timelines. You are strongly Aquarian which is why you sit on boards. In fact you had something similar as a child or teenager. A junior ‘board’ no matter if it was the Brownies or a council of prefects. I would expect your card to reflect money for you. With the N Node moving into Aquarius and the 4 degree line up that has just occurred, do you think that the timing for the movie disclosure day falls into these astrological events? Dear Jessica ….I am a Sun Leo (Jupiter in Aquarius) heading for Court in August for my Final Hearing. Everything has been so overwhelming and intense and I’m really finding this last stretch brutal. Thank you Alexandra. I am sorry you have a difficult court case. You are being offered a small amount (to settle) from your former partner. You sold the car to pay the barrister and lawyer. So what is your solar chart, but also your natal chart, saying? You know you are a Sun Leo woman. This means two things. You have Pluto in your Seventh House of legal opponents for about another 20 years. You also have a sign-off from the most stuck, repetitive financial and real estate cycle in 19 years, on July 26th, 27th depending on your time zone. So, now. To date you have heard and seen the same things, every day, in regard to him or his lawyers. That ends very soon. You are now free to actually have an impact on what takes place. My first daughter was born July 09. My Sagittarius father passed away with dementia in May 09. He left a very messy will leaving most of his estate to my Gemini half brother. Very little to my Aquarius brother and some to me.
My Taurus stepmother influenced my father’s final decisions in his will and as a result we fell out for years.
We are now on much better terms but we never mentioned “the war”.

Thank you. I should hope not! I am sorry your father had dementia and was influenced by your stepmother, when making an unfair will. He passed in 2009 but it obviously still affects you and your brother – the Gemini half-brother being your stepmother’s child. What does your chart show? Different story. The karma then (as you are a Sun Aquarius woman) was about your image, reputation, title, appearance and name. So there was something else going on in 2009 when you lost your father and the family split. In fact, you had Uranus transiting Pisces and your Second House of money, valuables and real estate. Uranus is a symbol of sudden upheaval and consequent freedom and independence. The upheavals continue for the years that Uranus is there. So that’s the story. You broke with the past (your stepmother) after the shock of the will and found yourself with no ties to bind any more. The issue for you may be altering your surname to his. In other cases it may be about what it looks like, if you have a public relationship with a particular person – how it reflects on you. This North Node cycle is about your partners. One of them is, or will turn out to be, romantic and close. Another may be purely work, or there may be two or three which are just business. Karma comes back. You are owed and there was never any closure, either with the same person, or a different one – but the theme is the same. For example you may have been unfairly dumped by a lover 18-19 years ago but now a new situation in your love life will help you find closure with the past. I am sorry you lost your father, on the previous North Node in Aquarius transit. Of course, he has passed to spirit and so is not really lost to you at all. Was it actually the North Node, though? No. What happened last time was about Pluto (transformation) passing through your Eighth House of legacies, wills and inheritance. Publicly it looked to be all about the paperwork and the family. Privately it was so much more, but that was the cycle you had – nothing to do with the North Node in Aquarius. What is unfolding now, beyond 2030, is about a foreign country and foreign people and it will change your life. You may emigrate or fully engage with a different nationality at home.

I am so sorry your father-in-law has been unable to live independently any more and just as sorry to hear your wife has dementia, although the late Terry Jones taught us a few things about still having a life – with it. Your solar chart shows you are a Taurus Sun man. You are now in the best possible cycle for family solutions in 12 years. It has already begun and by this time next year you will have been blessed with at least one, maybe more, sweeping answers. You have Jupiter and the South Node in Leo in your Fourth House of relatives and home. Jupiter is the problem solver and the South Node shows good karma from 18-19 years before. You did the right things with a family situation then and that is coming back to you, to help you this time. Hi Jessica – so interesting! Looking back (with the wisdom of hindsight of course!), there were signs in 1990 that all may not be ideal in my marriage. By 2008 I knew for sure and I struck out on my own. However the dates also have some connections to my son (first his birth and then him growing up and moving out of home) so I’m not sure which is more relevant. Or are they tied together? The North Node was in the Sixth House, in Aquarius, for you as a Virgo – last time. The Sixth House rules housework, child care, paid work, your physical and mental health, daily routine and lifestyle. The Sixth House is big with you. Switching to your natal chart, you have a stellium there. You live in the Sixth House much of the time. So you are now going to spend even more of your year there and this goes on into 2027, 2028 as Jupiter will move into Virgo halfway through next year. A familiar situation from 18-19 years ago will come with it. A classic example is being expected to cook, clean and care for everybody else when your own mental and physical health is coming second. Another outcome is feeling that the only time you can ever leave a job, or an unpaid role, or a course of study – is by developing depression, or being infected by Covid, or having a heart attack and so on. Old wounds and emotions are stirring up, and things that used to matter to me, no longer feel important …I feel like disconnecting from everything and everyone, and yet the quietness feels therapeutic. You are describing the Sixth House of your solar and/or natal chart so I would expect to see transits there. The Sixth House is about therapy. It rules mental health. You are retreating from other people. When you say “I want to only focus and do things for me, rather than for everyone” you are also describing the Sixth House which rules duty and service. The first duty is always to your own physical and mental wellbeing; other people (or even pets) have to come second, as you are not superwoman and you are not a machine. Going to your birth chart you have a hugely loaded Sixth House with factors in Virgo. Your MC is at 18 Virgo (your Midheaven). That’s your peak achievement. Your peak achievement will be to work well and hard for others, but primarily for your own best body, mind and spirit outcomes. So, this has nothing to do with the North Node going into Aquarius. Around 2007-2009 my dominating story was my life was made very difficult by my second husband’s ex wife.
I pulled the hermit card for the North node in Aquarius.

Your birth chart shows the North Node at 27 Leo and South Node at 27 Aquarius, so you will find your past life is triggered when the transiting North Node goes to 27 Aquarius and transiting South Node goes to 27 Leo. When does this reminder of your last incarnation happen? October 24-30 this year. It is Halloween. That may be a clue, actually. Your last lifetime involved a group of friends and the conflict between that circle of people, and your own love life and/or the world of children. You have the North Node at 5 Aquarius and South Node at 5 Leo. (The nodes are always in opposition). When the transiting North Node finally goes back to 5 Aquarius in November 2027 there will be a repeat of what happened with your friends, group, social life the last time. So, around 18-19 years prior – but this is also about past lives. To guess the year of that past life, check the dates I’ve published taking you back centuries and find a likely contender. The clue is usually a period in history and a place, which seems so familiar to you, or you are drawn to. It might be 1803, or example. Before picking up 4 of Swords (tarot) I was thinking back to 2009, a time when I was not aware my employers were hiding financial trouble and not paying taxes. It was not until a year later that everything fell apart and staff lost not only jobs but months of unpaid wages we had been asked to wait for. No need to feel sorry for our employers. They remained wealthy and could have sold surplus luxury homes or cars to pay their debts. But that was the wrong question and so I focussed on what will most important in this period and got Nurturing (i ching) and The World (tarot) If the latter indicates international travel I will be most surprised. Nurturing my team at work would be great. We have removed some bad apples, and I am hoping for a happier friendlier time. From 2007 to 2009, I transitioned from a traditional advertising agency to an online gaming company. During that period, I pursued and dated my ex-girlfriend. As it was a same-sex relationship, she found it hard to accept at the time, and we broke up after two or three years, though we remain good friends today. Back then, I had a very tense relationship with my father. I also began reading books on spirituality around that time, which led me to study psychology in 2009.

At school it was also about your friends. I am sorry your father left you then; that must have had a huge impact on you. Yet children often turn to their classmates or their football team and so on, at such times. Or, they act out the emotions through those people. You are a Sun Sagittarius woman so the North Node in Aquarius had nothing to do with your engagement or the subsequent divorce, but what did happen 2007-2008 was the transiting North Node in Pisces and Uranus in Pisces, too. Pisces rules your house, apartment, family circle and household so you went through karma, which the North Node rules, but also the revolution, upheaval, new freedom and independence that Uranus always brings. Once the transit begins, you always know. There is quite clearly a repayment process going on, so if you feel short-changed, trust that you are in spiritual debt from last time and need to go through that reckoning for balance. A repayment can also be quite obvious. For example, I had a reader who had been unfairly accused by a company she worked for. Another reader had been mixed up with a trade union and so on. Looking at your birth chart as a whole, the next 12 months is very much about the world of dating, the bedroom, babies, children, teenagers or younger adults. They may belong to your past or your future. You are, in fact, owed – as you did the right things, last time. So there will be quite a pointed return coming your way, from the universe. I have never properly been a parent, so it is a very different situation than my lover with young children. This feature struck a chord. I have an Aquarius stellium: Moon at 8, Ascendant at 1, Ceres at 0 and Psyche at 5 Aquarius. Both node periods you mention were the hardest chapters of my life. In 1989–1990 I was in law school, harshly judged by my classmates and professors — it was never easy, and I’ve always wished to finally gain the respect of those school friends. Then in November 2007, at 37 and convinced I was past my prime, I married a man I barely knew, ignoring many red flags. My work contract had just ended and I thought marrying a US citizen and moving to America — which I did in 2008, in the same cycle — was the right move. Instead I discovered I’d been lied to: he was broke, with properties in India tied up in legal cases and child support from a previous marriage. I’ve carried the financial and legal weight ever since — he was never able to keep a job, still supporting him today. His court cases were finally resolved in 2024 and the properties are due to be sold this year, 2026, I hope me and my daughter can get a share from those sales. That period also gave me my rainbow baby in 2009 — my daughter, now 16. Hello and thanks for this interesting article. For this Aquarius this timeframe was life changing for me. I started work at a new company and had an opportunity to be promoted when my manager resigned but a very higher up refused to allow the job to be given to me after a long process despite my boss’s wishes. It really shook my confidence but I soon came to know the higher up just wanted to hold the position open in case the previous manager wanted to come back…which she did after several months. It was embarrassing as many people fought on my behalf but it didn’t matter. I also met my ex husband and relocated, partially spurred by the work situation.

Thank you. The issues with your brother and his wife are directly related to the North Node in Aquarius. It falls in the Third House of siblings. Your memories of 2007-2009 do not include your brother, or in fact any other brothers or sisters, but your horoscope says that is when the karma began. Closure will be slow and steady but the situation with him may be quite stuck and repetitive so try and accommodate that. It’s not forever. In 2008 I got the offer from my former company owner to move to Hong Kong. When I talked to my local manager she said no because “I’d be owning more money than her”. I was so disappointed of her that my attitude changed and I stop being cooperative. Eventually we had a big argument, my manager was so aggressive that it was my trigger not to accept the job under her terms so I got fired. The settlement money helped me to travel and fund some courses, but it took me a lot of time to find a ‘decent job’. This has made me ‘very conservative’ when it comes to work ‘safety’.

How funny, I noted the date of the last ingress of the nodes – December 19th 2007 – the day after this, I moved into my beloved cottage, a very beautiful little house which my dear departed Dad helped me turn into a stunning home. Hi Jessica, fascinating! I am definitely feeling it. in December 2007 my then boyfriend left me very brutally and moved back to our hometime. It felt devastated, alone, cut off from our friends and struggling with responsibility and debts. We reconciled in May 2009, but were living together again by August 2009! In 2007-2009 I split with my husband and we lived together for a couple of years for the children before he moved out and then remarried in 2010 when our divorce came though in the March. Financial settlement is finally being completed as I await the confirmation of the house being transferred into my name. I met someone new in January this year.

Thank you for this interesting blog. I am a Sun Scorpio with lots of planets at 4 degrees and lots going on in my chart. ( quincunxes, oppositions, conjunctions and negative squares) Could you tell me what the North node in Aquarius means for me please, I also have Pluto in my 4th house too. I have power and control issues. I have a partner who is also Scorpio that smokes in my house and due to my Saturn in 6th house it is affecting me health wise now, I need it to stop and be a smoke free home but I know it will be difficult to sort this out. He never seems to want a discussion if I have a problem. He has his own place and stays there 3 to 4 nights a week as he gets up early those days to take a family member to work (as it used to disturb my sleep), the rest of the time he is with me. Whew- you predicted a tense time for me end of July as the nodes are at 29 degrees, and you weren’t wrong. I’m a walking stress case about to have a breakdown. My husband and I are stuck waiting for deals to close on his business and the stress is making him lash out at me and I’m giving it back as well. We are not helping each other. This has been going on for so long and it’s hard to know if things will actually come through so basically it’s not a sure thing. The purgatory we find ourselves in is awful and we aren’t coping. Hi Jessica— great article as usual. I have my north node in Aquarius at 2 degrees and south node in Leo at 2 degrees. I also have my IC in Aquarius at 18 degrees, and my Midheaven 18 degrees in Leo. I’m also now in my Jupiter return, with my Jupiter being at 11 degrees Leo. Otherwise Scorpio stellium at 00 Sun. I’ve been waiting for some time now to get justice, in quite a few situations where I’d been targetted by unconsionable betrayal, including by those who took an oath to serve and protect. I was divorced in 2006 after 10 years of marriage to a narcissist. I worked a full time job and was a part time caregiver to his four kids through shared custody. I helped send two to college instead of going to graduate school myself. He ran off with my much younger cousin who I’d been very close to since she was a child, so it was devastating to lose them both, as well as the relationships with my stepkids. I got a poor settlement and spent the next few years rebuilding my life. He still owes me settlement money but I’ve never had the means to take him to court to collect. I did go to graduate school later in life and am paying student loans though employment opportunities as an older person has been a challenge. Your sister is manipulative and her son is lost. Now there is money to sort out; valuables or real estate. Long-term you will make or save a lot of money starting in mid 2027 taking you to mid 2028. Hi Jessica— insightful read as usual. Well, this is my nodal return, north node Aquarius at 2 degrees, south node Leo 2 degrees, overlapping with my Jupiter return at 11 in Leo. My IC and Midheaven is also Aquarius and Leo. Let’s just say I’ve already lived my life in the spotlight, and I’ve been in hiding for some time now, following a traumatic upheaval, to call that unexpected would be an extraordinary understatement. It happened during the Scorpio Taurus nodes, in 2021 to 2022. I haven’t been the same since. It changed me. It changed everything. Hi Jessica, thanks so much for this post, as always very helpful with your guidance. In 1989, my stepfather passed away and my mom’s house burnt down, and I quit college as a result. I went through a period of figuring out what my life should look like, reconsidering everything. In 2007, my daughter was born. I had some major adjustments to make in my life, marriage and workplace. I had some health issues related to becoming a new mom and going back to work full time. It was an exhausting period of my life where it felt like I was receiving very little support. My work has never really been the same since I had kids. I would not change a thing, but the fact remains that being the primary caregiver directly impacted my ability to earn. I am currently a contract worker and still craving some financial security, as I am about to take yet another mandated break from my position. I worked harder this year than I ever have, but it feels like the compensation is not yet here. I do feel incredibly lucky that my two kids are turning into great humans.

Thinking back through the last time/s these transits appeared has been really quite sad and I am so hoping that I get a break this time around – 2007-2009 really was life changing and truly nearly broke me. The end of 2007 saw the young Son of a friend pass away and all in our friendship group suddenly saw life completely differently – I left the job I was unhappy in and spent a year at Law firm, then left to join a friend at his own company.
For most of 2007 my rented flat had been flooding but I could get no assistance from my real estate agent, on Feb 15th, 2008 my Mum passed away, then a week later my eldest Sister was placed on life support due to sepsis. I was flying back and forth between Melbourne and Brisbane where my family are and a few weeks later after Mum’s funeral, to top that all off, my Cat died from an infection caused by the water in my flat. Pretty much this all happened in the space of approx 2 months
In 2009 I took 6 weeks leave from my friends company to travel and while I was away, the company folded, so I came home to no job. It literally took me 18 months to find another one…and these are just the highlights 🙁
Perhaps this transit accounts for why I suddenly feel out of sorts, teary and anti-social but also lonely and disconnected from my family, friends and community, which is very much unlike Libran’s?

Dear Jessica , Fascinating blog for current change .. I had written to you in the past about my job situation I was waiting on joining date from an offer since beginning June though it paid not unto my satisfaction I was happy to go along as the role was interesting . Thank you. I’ve asked the Lodge to update their website, so perhaps they will do so this week. It’s a group session for members and you can purchase tickets online or at the door if there are spaces left. And yes, the pub is fun afterwards.
