HI Jessica, i was in the consicous cafe zoom just now. I drew Knight of wands from the Tarot. I read it and wondered if i needed to draw again, the second card was king of wands!! My I Ching was Hexagon 39- Impeded. Sun sign is Libra, I am in process of buying a home- it has been a difficult process. That’s the main thing on my mind right now and i am wondering if i am doing the right thing or if is going to mean issues in long term in terms of affordability if I buy this place.

It is about inner growth with a psychic, priest, psychologist, hypnotist, psychiatrist or similar. The key to this will be a man who is gifted with ideas and plans, yet has difficulty making them happen. The two Wands men are alike; they both dither. Yet this hesitant male is your answer to terrific spiritual, psychological or psychic growth next year. He is ‘Impeded’ and the I Ching backs the Tarot. I understand how tough it is to be between jobs and without income. Yet your solar chart shows Jupiter (solutions) in Leo in your Second House of money saved and made – ongoing. I’ve had an ongoing battle with the authorities over the payment of care for my mum who is in a care home since 2023. This has caused so much stress and legal costs for us alongside the emotional distress of my mum having dementia. I feel guilty about my mum and feel I’ve carried a lot of financial worries that were not mine to carry. How might this play out for the rest of this year and next. Thank you. I am so sorry you have been put through this with your mum’s dementia and her care home. You are retired and it’s costing you financially and emotionally. You do have the best financial cycle in 12 years coming from mid 2027 taking you to mid 2028 and what we have here is the Three of Swords (yourself and two others in a painful emotional situation which can be fixed by withdrawing from it) and Dispersion (which says the same thing – the three of you will scatter and go your separate ways). I am wondering if you have a brother or sister also involved with your mother, or perhaps your father. Your chart suggests it’s two more family members, or extended family. You will be guided here by a maverick or outsider. In other cases, no person leads you, but an invisible helper does and you will be guided towards choices which are outrageous or audacious, sure, but you could easily get away with them. This week, my organisation heard news of a potential merger, which has naturally raised concerns of an uncertain future and potential job losses. I work for a environmental organisation (so the I Ching Forest card and the Eight of Pentacles in the group reading seemed quite apt). I pulled the Seven of Swords and Followers. If this goes ahead, it could potentially impact my earnings and security, which is concerning as my current number one goal is to upgrade from a flat to a house with a garden (for better wellbeing) but that will come with a much bigger mortgage. I have a stellium in Virgo – Pluto, Ceres, Cupido and Psyche. Best wishes 🙂
It’s a pleasure. Thank you for coming along. The Seven of Swords shows you pre-empting a problem. You will be fast enough and clever enough to remove what could be the means of a conflict involving a group of people in the background. Followers in the I Ching also shows this group. It may be the people behind the merger or the environmental organisation itself. Financially you have opportunities to make or save a lot of money between now and mid 2027, across the board. This circle of people is shady, up to no good and you are ahead of them. In fact with Chiron in Taurus in your Eleventh House of groups, you will be able to get away with the so-called outrageous or audacious. As an Aries sun and Capricorn rising I do relate to the predictions above. I’m currently going through a rough patch regarding my work and home country. I came back to teaching after a hiatus and regret it so much. It’s draining me but I’m so stuck as I’m the only full time teacher there teaching this specific subject. There is a certain level of guilt tripping going on there as they want me to keep me there. On top of that I’ve wanted to leave my tiny EU country for such a long time, but I’m still here. Hi Jessica, loved the timing for the zoom call yesterday as I am in Sydney and it worked well. I have two issues going on currently with work and health. I still have 2 jobs and can’t seem to let go of the permanent part time role in admin while the other is a casual job caring for people. I can’t keep going on working 6-7 days a week. But love the income given I am paying a mortgage by myself. For my health I am seeing a functional medical practitioner to assist with inflammation. I have been working with her for 18mths now and while I have seen some improvement, I am now plateauing. If you drew the Eight of Cups twice, you are being shown yourself breaking away emotionally and moving to a new place, temporarily or permanently. In fact you have just done this. hi Jessica – thanks for another Conscious Cafe fascinating session – I got a Five of Wands and the Hexagon 48 – Well. I worry that this relates to being a trustee of a body corporate for a property I own which causes so much stress but then how does this square with being a Saggitarius sun sign?
The Five of Wands famously shows a group clashing over different plans, ideas and opinions. The way through it always to pair off with just one other person, then the two of you find a third person, fourth and so on. So you start with the two of you. The I Ching agrees. Your Sagittarius Sun shows the neighbours (Pluto transiting the Third House for years into the future). The Third House always rules locals and people next door, or a few doors down. So that’s your body corporate. You can use the Tarot again and the I Ching to ask ‘How do I best handle this ongoing?’ Early 2027 looks like a crossroads.

I should explain that “I am sorry I am afraid I can’t do that” is the most famous quote by HAL (a computer) in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’. A brilliant film made in 1968. So now I can’t decide if HAL is alive and well, and whether AI is dangerous rather than simply helpful and amusing. What do you think Jessica?
AI is a really good example of Uranus in Gemini. In fact, the computer we know today, landed on the last cycle, when the war made it necessary for Alan Turing to invent artificial intelligence, at Bletchley Park. Just knowing AI is part of this transit lets us know it will not stay in its current form. In fact a couple of its wilder versions will quietly die. It will not be the Brave New World we are being sold (by people who want us to buy shares in it). Yet, some bits and pieces will remain past 2033 when the cycle ends. There will be a huge rejection of it ahead and in fact some governments will move to block it. It’s a long cycle and your early experience (above) will be an amusing piece of real history for you to look at!

June 1968 was the month of widespread student protests at every university in the UK as well. Actually I think a relatively small number of protesters were being bussed around the country for the sit-ins. It was also the summer that Concorde was first fully trialled in the UK. I worked on the cockpit instrumentation – but didn’t much like it’s sale to the US Air Force for use in their operations in Vietnam.
There were mass protests against that war too in 1968. These culminated in June of that year with the shooting of Robert F Kennedy (he had run a campaign heavily fueled by the anti – war movement and the civil rights platform). So quite a summer.
I am looking forward to seeing what happens next year but I doubt I will be around in 2033.

It’s a silly name though as Uranus in Gemini will disrupt their AI in a shocking way, many times by 2033. (They tempted fate there). That’s interesting about Concorde. Hi Jessica, unfortunately I was unable to attend the zoom. But found your post right on time and insightful as usual! I am in America and was shooting to fully retire @ 70. There is a hopeful thought I may still teach my medical massage knowledge but remove myself from actually working as a medical massage therapist when I retire. This is what I am striving for and my goals.

I am a Cancer with stelliums in Virgo , Pisces and Gemini. I have the theme of neighbours and short journeys in this cycle. I have two issues in my life that I want to fix 1. is my job and 2. being stuck in a city I have outgrown. I desperately want to move and even work online if it allows me to live somewhere I love. The benefits can be cash in kind. So it depends on what you want. You can be retired, volunteer to work in a charity shop and have a regular customer who donates her designer clothes, which you are then allowed to buy at a very low price in exchange for volunteering in the shop. I am in that Pluto in Virgo generation, a Cancer with stelliums in Virgo and Gemini, and am at the same crossroads I’ve been at for months. My current situation is a job that I have outgrown, but that offers stability and health insurance (a critical consideration, since I am in the U.S. where health insurance is tied to work and I am not yet old enough for socialized medicine for elders, i.e. Medicare). For a long time now, I have been inching toward a remote work situation or venture that would provide income, but with much greater flexibility to travel, spend time with family, and pursue other interests. I don’t really want to retire, per se; I want to work, but on my own terms for a change. If I were to achieve such a position, I would need to make a significant amount per month to cover the cost of health insurance for the next ca. 2 years.

Several top developers for Anthropic and OpenAI just issued a statement warning that AI, in its current unchecked state, provides an existential threat to civilization and could wipe out humanity “within a decade.” Although I don’t sense the human world coming to an end that soon, I do wonder if you could speak to that prediction.
Also–sorry about this, but it’s kind of an obsession–do you have any insights into the United States post-midterms, especially including when, if ever, we will pull back from the brink of having become a virtual pariah state due to the many failures and betrayals of the current regime, including the economically idiotic and morally indefensible trade war with many nations such as our former friend and close ally, Canada? I have family in Canada and, like the majority of Americans, never wanted this nonsense to happen. It’s outrageous and heartbreaking, and I have many intense thoughts and feelings about the situation, but will keep my powder dry for now.

America is itching for a profound change, and I believe Pluto in Aquarius is going to bring it. It will “awaken the sleeping giant,” indeed.
