You were born to make deals. I am sure you know that. There is a level of deal-making with most family relationships and certainly with sexual relationships too. Scorpio is about the reality of financial and property match-making as well as passionate partnerships. You are in an odd position as 2019 ends, with Mercury Retrograde in your Eighth House of finance, business, charity, valuables and property since October 11th. Throughout November he goes backwards and forwards, retracing his steps. So will you. Some declarations will be null and void. Don’t necessarily trust all that you read or hear as gospel! There will be rather a lot of speculation around (and this even goes into areas like the value of your shares, home or other assets) and not much actual solid fact. You may prefer to treat November as a ‘wait and see’ period with research and homework, rather than sign-off outcomes. Remember you also have Uranus, the planet of the unpredictable and unexpected, turning up in your Second House of personal budgeting, so rather than add to the general instability of November, you may want to treat it as a beta-test. Even silly mistakes or lack of communication can contribute, and sometimes computers, software or telephones can play their part!

    Happy Halloween,

Can you tell me how the planetary weather affects my chart factors this month, please Jessica
    Thank you

November is one of those months when Jupiter in Sagittarius can really deliver, as this planet is now moving forward, quite strongly, to a spectacular conclusion. The week beginning Monday 25th November finds Venus alongside her brother, and so there is a natural relationship there anyway! That word ‘relationship’ is key as there is a double act, duet or two-way street waiting for you, or another then. It would cross countries, languages or nationalities. If it’s someone in your world, you would still gain from that (for example, a relative invites another family member to come and stay from overseas, which benefits you). If direct, then we’re looking at your horizons expanding in the most wonderful way. We also have a New Moon in Sagittarius, just as November ends. Do use it.

Thank you. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is pretty tricky for job interviews and job applications. Mercury entered Scorpio at 11 degrees back near Saturday 12th October so the wheels have been spinning in accounts departments, banks and big business in quite a peculiar way since then – they went backwards near Thursday 31st October (and you wonder why that Brexit Halloween deadline never delivered!) and actually go over 11 degrees again on November 19th through 22nd. Thus, a lot of the paper trails and discussions that have been going on in various offices either come to nothing, or change shape. If you get caught in the middle of that, you may find it pretty hard to be 100% certain of outcomes. This may have a life of its own. You may find your applications go round in circles but you eventually end up where you need to be when Mercury crosses his final shadow near December 7th-8th. It’s hard to say without a chart for the company, or knowing the date when you applied. In terms of timing, you would have been far better off waiting until after Christmas 2019, or just as New Year’s Eve comes around in early January 2020, because Mercury is then in Capricorn in your Tenth House of career, alongside Jupiter, the planet of solutions, opportunities and problem-solving. It is also possible you will pick up your new role then.

I am so pleased you found a new job which pays more money – thank you for letting me know. Okay, so your Capricorn factors are the big story here, although not in November. You’re a little too early. They really start to pay off in terms of your career once Jupiter changes signs on December 3rd and you begin to see incredible opportunities and solutions, either with this law firm or even another. In fact, the Christmas socialising you do is a really big part of 2020’s success. Make sure you accept invitations as much as you can, although I realise you’ll need a babysitter if your child is young. December is really about deepening friendships or even more (!) with your employers, colleagues, clients. As there is a part of you which is very ambitious, wants to be at the top, or be number one – and perhaps wants to know the right people – I think you’ll find December pretty inspiring. A quick drink after work or lunch with one of your new colleagues could be rather interesting!

SC you don’t say if you are in a sexual relationship at the moment, or not, so it’s hard to say very much that is personal. In a general way, let’s look at anything which involves your money, business interests, house, apartment, valuables – with a lover. If there is nobody in the frame we are talking about an ex lover, and this may be someone you had quite a long relationship with, or even a brief fling. You would be well advised to steer clear of anything new with this person in November. In fact, I would have told you that about October as well, if that was your main question. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio in your Eighth House is commonly associated with business or work deals that involve a former lover – that get stuck, get delayed or have to be scrapped. If there is any sort of payment (or cash-in-kind reward, like the loan of a car) and it involves someone you used to be in bed with (or are still in bed with) do be cautious. You may find yourself involved with a person who cannot keep his word, for example. The cycle ends in the first week of December as Mercury crosses over his shadow around the weekend of the 7th. Until then be very careful with any kind of ‘deal’ or arrangement.

Your partner’s Scorpio stellium is affecting you, and that’s why it feels so temporarily hard to manage your two children, the search for well-paid, full-time work in renewable energy (or perhaps another field) and the house. This can and does get better, as you slowly find out where you both stand from the week of Monday 18th November, forwards into December, with property, finance and work. Until then you may find his situation sends you round in circles, triggers delays, or involves a lot of chopping and changing. The bigger picture, which is spiritual, is karma involving the whole family actually. You are going through the North Node in Cancer cycle in the Fourth House of home and family. You have all made soul contracts with each other, between lives, and part of the settling up involves this move to a new place, under financial pressure, in a new home. The karmic cycle ends in May 2020. Until then you will find that these conditions you are all/both in feel strangely familiar. Perhaps you have even been in this country or place, in another lifetime. You will all four, figure out the spiritual values – patience, tolerance, kindness, compassion, trust – as a result of this period in your lives, and the rather stuck feeling will vanish completely next year. Further ahead, you will both gain from December 2019, January 2020 as there will be a ton of resignations, departures, mergers, hirings, firings and the rest out there and you’ll find a chair in the game of musical chairs.

Bethanie, it may surprise you to know that the whole point of this smorgasbord of men is to learn the language, culture and to make connections that enable you to spend a long time in a foreign place – or even emigrate. You actually do need to choose! You will do so in the final week of November when the Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius affects one of these men, at the same time it hits you. The offer is irresistible. You were always born to be in this place karmically and will see why when you stay/move by the year 2022, as the Node also goes into Sagittarius. This is your past life calling. Of course you can always say no. I think you will say yes…

Jen, you may want to go back and forth with the discussion about salary, any bonus, any perks – until December 7th. Mercury is backtracking wildly and conditions around the world with banks, business, finance will oscillate until December. November is not the time to sign anything or accept a signature. You have been here before with this cycle, right? Buyer beware! Talk and talk, but decide later if you want to be on-board with the astrology.

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is a really big stretch for you. We are looking at the HSBC bank (so conservative usually) offering words of extreme caution. We are also seeing 2 million people in California, a major American and world economic/business centre, without computer or telephone access. I predicted this for L.A. two years ago, not knowing dreadful climate emergency fires would be the cause of the grid lockdown. You are affected by ripples from the waves, from the tsunami in America, Hong Kong and Shanghai. So please do treat November as ‘wait and see’ as you are not in a great position to sign or accept a signature. This may be about choosing a bank or loan. Getting or finding a credit card. Renting, owning a house or apartment. Business deals. A charity promise. There are going to be long delays, disconnects, people won’t get back to you, they will make mistakes (or you will) and in general it’s an excellent time to mentally rehearse and do homework and research but as for pinning anything down…nope!

Kane, you are having this meeting on Mercury Retrograde. I published the warning dates about this two years ago in 2017, if you want to hit Search. October and November 2019 were always going to be uncertain financially. Nobody really knows where they stand until December 7th. Please treat this as a discussion time only. No hard and fast decisions yet, as you may find conditions change or get stuck by December. This is typical of Mercury Retrograde. This is the planet which rules the banks, the share markets, business, world trade and anything from EBay to charity. Tax is a big one! Rather than make up your mind, make commitments, accept them or lock anything in – try to rehearse, reflect, rethink, review, research…then when Mercury is out of shadow in December you will know where you stand but also exactly where the property market, banks, business, shares, pension, tax is too. At last.

Hello! I came across this forum trying to decide my stellium in Scorpio. Good timing :)

    This is me:

My Sun sign is libra…. and my Chinese sign a rat. I have come to accept my quirks through your words, and am deeply appreciative for that. I am all or nothing in most aspects of my life, relationship especially.

I have two soul loves that fell in my lap. My husband, and my business partner (and Ayurvedic sister). The stars have been very good to me.

I am curious to hear your insight on the year ahead, especially with regard to my Scorpio factors.

You have Uranus (radical change) in Taurus opposite some of your Scorpio (shared finance) factors now through 2020. You also have a muddled couple of months in October, November, so you may prefer not to decide or accept decisions before December 7th. If you do, Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio suggests you would hit delays, alterations or a reversal. Longer-term you are going to have to make some money decisions, or choices about your house or apartment, possessions or charity commitments – right up against those of a partner or family member. They have different values to you. You are going to have to hang price tag on what you believe in and what/who you hold dear. What or who is priceless to you. This will take most of 2020 and it will come around as a the result of the last thing you expected! So try to keep your plans really flexible if you can. You only have this cycle once in your life. Look up Uranus on Search if you are curious.

Hi Jessica, my Scorpio Stellium is with Jupiter, Aesculapia, Ceres, and Ops. Lots of luck, but also potential loss (Ceres). I always find anything to do with Scorpio quite a mystery so it’s hard for me to articulate a specific question in regards to these factors! Perhaps with Jupiter, Ops, and Aesculapia, I tend to leave things to chance in this ‘area.’ Is there anything I should pay closer attention to? Thank you!

You get hit by the ripple effect from the big waves happening in America and Asia, and Great Britain and Europe. We have not seen anything like this since the 1930’s. We are talking about the sudden, unexpected, radical changes with the world economy (Uranus in Taurus) but also the constant delays, muddles or turnarounds of November and December, thanks to Mercury Retrograde. Your chart is at the heart of this Scorpio-Taurus weather so you need to watch what is happening, take notes, do your research but think about delaying big decisions until December 7th at least, when Mercury is out of shadow. We are going to see a major chain reaction in the markets from the California grid crisis. Also, same, with the America-China trade uncertainty – and of course Britain’s departure from Europe. We have seldom seen so much flux and it will affect your pension/superannuation, shares, the tax policies for 2020 and beyond – and property prices. For that reason November is an excellent time to watch, watch, and wait – but do act later – then you will know where you stand when Mercury is finally out of shadow.

E, you would be welcome to learn Astrology and Tarot in 2020. Please do find a pack of Pamela’s cards wherever you can. You and your family are bound into the Taurus-Scorpio weather of November, in particular, but remember Uranus (the revolution) in Taurus (values) will be with you, affecting your life budget until 2025. So long term we are talking about the need for a really flexible, open situation with the house, apartment, bank accounts, taxation, allowances, will/legacy and so on – with the family. You are going to find that one of you has a totally different view about money and property, or expenditure, borrowing, credit cards, mortgages – even charity giving – to the others! This means you both/all need a really wide open arrangement where you can quickly alter things to fit. You are also both/all going to need a lot more tolerance, time, space and ‘making allowances’ as we go through this rather intense period in November when there is so much muddle or uncertainty. Long delays and ‘not knowing’ is the new normal, no matter if we are talking the US $ or the pound. The Australian $ or the value of pension/super. It’s pretty crazy out there until December 7th. Beyond that, as I’ve said, have tons of room so you can all/both change, when change is required.

Your finances, taxation or income remains stuck or reversed until December 7th, but that’s okay. It buys you time to think! This is really a time of tremendous muddle. You may have staff giving you wrong information or making silly mistakes. People who owe you may not get back to you. Deals you made, suddenly become muddled. That kind of thing. The good news is, in other areas of your life (like, having a life) you well and truly see options from December, as Jupiter changes signs. This is long overdue. January 2020 sees massive changes for the people around you as they lose their jobs, resign, get promotions or change their jobs. This has a ripple effect on your own life. Friends, family, potential new people in your life all feel it. They uproot, move, or change their way of life. That’s when you come in…you’ll be so tempted to move or travel very ambitiously next year and that will also alter things for you.

Deidre, the issue here is the apartment, house or money – the credit card and bank account – of you and/or the other person. This is really a time to wait and see. There is a lot of delay, muddle and mix-up in November and I’m not crazy about the lunar cycles at the moment. We have Taurus-Scorpio climate change in November and it’s not ideal, really, for making decisions about sex and money, which is what Scorpio essentially is. You’ll be amazed when you get to the other side of this dating situation and realise just how much it was always going to be about the house or apartment.

Mexico is correct! The financials are at the mercy of Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio until the first week of December. So please treat November as a ‘wait and see’ period of negotiation. You may find there are disconnects in communication, the numbers, the commitments, or the projections of the plan. This is pretty normal on this cycle. Yet, Mexico is so right. Please dive into the amazing solution or opportunity involving that country, in the final days of November. If you can possibly treat the rest of the month as a research exercise about the money – you’ll know where you stand from December 7th.

Be careful with your timing here. The yoga is not the issue as you have a huge market for that (think about people in their fifties who have Uranus/Pluto in Virgo, the yoga sign). You will of course have people of all ages, born with personal planets in Virgo too. The financial story is complicated by Mercury Retrograde though the first week of December. November is messy. You may want to work on first, second, third draft ideas for what you have in mind and talk to a ton of people, tossing the conversation around to see what is possible. That would be a great use of November which is chaotic. As I write this California will have its biggest power shutdown in history. Imagine the chain reaction from that right around the world – okay!

Therese, you are at the end point of 2019 so starting anything new in any major way is going to be a slow burn for you. Actually what you should be doing is getting rid of people/situations/men/organisations which you know are wrong. There is no law that says you have to go on seeing these people! You have attracted Saturn and/or Pluto in Capricorn types who are a drag on your energy. So give it a rest. Late 2019 for you, especially November, is the time to be brave and admit that this/that just did not work out and you should be pretty ruthless with your big chop. A graceful or polite white lie may be your path to disconnection here. 2020 brings a completely different social life, new friendships and a new attraction.

Scorpio-Leo-Aquarius is a T-Square between you and your son. You already have a square (what you cannot square about yourself) with Scorpio and Leo. This commonly turns up with issues about being a mother, versus having a mortgage with the child’s father – or a rental. You can’t do the financial/property/budget commitment with a specific man, and yet there is this equal desire to be a parent. Along comes the Aquarian and it becomes an even tighter situation, thus what they call a T-Square, which is the T Shape in both your charts. You may want to give him and yourself a ton more space and time in November as these Scorpio transits are really not assisting. Further afield, he comes into his own, is the butterfly from the chrysalis, finds his tribe and finds himself – in 2021. This buys you so much more time to do your thing!

Maria, you can apply for the job but don’t be surprised if they mess you around/you don’t hear back/they change their minds/you find out the real details later and change YOUR mind. You are in much, much better shape to look for new projects, roles, gigs or careers after Mercury stops going retro shadow, which is the first week of December. Further ahead there will be the biggest shakedown in big business for years in January, February 2020 when suddenly all these new vacancies appear. You will find you benefit from juggling and multi-tasking. The more you can be a versatile performer who can do X, Y and Z for a client or employer, the more indispensable you will become and you can gradually strike deals or name your price. You need to upskill and update and you can do that easily now through early 2020. Just add a few more balls to the mix!

You need to catch the wave that is rolling between now and the very end of November and land yourself the most affordable vacation or holiday accommodation (even free) you have seen in a long time. You likely know the actual location really well (or you thought you did) but things have changed and you are in a really amazing position for the end of 2019 and all of 2020-2021. In fact you need to be on the move, full stop. This is either for personal or work reasons, or if you are clever, you can actually combine them. Education is another crossover for you. What is going to happen by December puts the means of getting there – and the roof over your head – way within reach and you will also see so many benefits and advantages you missed before. Do your homework on this one. What you thought you knew, you really didn’t, and you need to step back and see just how one location in particular is offering you delivery AND potential for 2020.

This is the big Scorpio-Taurus-Capricorn reshape of 2020. It starts with light at the end of the tunnel for you with work or business in December. The light gets brighter in January when finally you begin to see some action which favours you. 2020 will reward you financially for your talents, skills, ideas, ability, dedication, hard work and service. Jupiter is making 12-year patterns in Capricorn which sextile your Scorpio factors in the house of joint finances and trine them in the second house of immediate cash flow. You are going to make or save a fortune from your role or projects next year, so it’s terriblest important that you tune in and listen, very hard, to what you hear in December. Taking time out over Christmas makes leaders, bosses, employers think harder about how they are going to deal with the resignations, necessary sackings, promotions, hirings and so on – mergers too – of January. Read their minds and be the right person.

As you live in Hong Kong you will be seeing the full Mercury Retrograde impact in November. As a flight attendant you can double that message. I’m afraid there is no smooth sailing for several weeks and on a more serious note, you genuinely need to double-check things like your ATM access, holiday or vacation pay, year-end bonuses, insurance (especially) and also the actual contract. What would happen if things changed dramatically with the HK travel industry – because it’s going to take place. You may want to read what I predicted for HK, which has been controversial. I believe she’ll go back to Great Britain, either legally or nominally. This is all a very long way into the future, but as a general comment, do your homework in November. There are some really good women in your industry who work for other companies who can really help you and you all need to compare notes. Life will be chaotic in November. Watch for an incredible opportunity in the final week please. It involves another Asian country, the US or Europe – maybe Australia. Run don’t walk.

Thank you Rachel. Your entire problem is his former wife or partner and that’s not going away any time soon. He realises he contributed to a train wreck there and he is terrified of doing the same thing again to another woman, and especially to her children. So you are catching him at a very difficult time in his life. November is not going to move anything along. He also has a fear of confrontation, having had it with his exes and see it in his own family, so he tends to evade, avoid, drift off, be vague, be slow at replying and all that rubbish. The truth underneath is that if anything got remotely real and raw with you it would raise the spectre of swords drawn at some point, because that is what he expects to see from love. He’s okay. He’s geographically coming and going, in and out, for the next 3 months. He’s more comfortable with male friends actually. You’ll drift off too, as your interests lie elsewhere! This may happen but please don’t sit around waiting for it. Get on with your life, you have a ton of very hard work to do.

You may be owed money through a work payout, government benefit, inheritance, pension/superannuation refund, insurance settlement or similar. Don’t pay too much to find it. Make sure the right person or organisation is looking for it – no amateurs. Scorpio rules cash, assets, business, valuables. Your chart is absolutely hit by Mercury Retrograde in November and you need to see if it’s worth it, to begin the search. If it is, then at least bring in someone who knows what he or she is doing!

You will be given the chance to review a failed relationship or financial partnership in November and instead of avoiding, actually dig for some facts. This will help you wake up and shake up, and you will be in a much better position to create the sort of sexual and financial marriage or duet you want for 2020. One of the issues for you in the past was a massive gap in incomes, but also the question of who was being more generous or giving! This is one thing to look at. The other is your own attachment to a house or apartment, or other lifestyle assets (like a car) versus the actual value of two souls or hearts meeting. Two minds meeting. You got that confused at one point and went way off track sexually and emotionally, in the past. November will send you back to your ex, via family members or friends on your ex’s side of the fence – or even direct contact. This makes you face up to what actually happened, all that time ago, and you’ll make the biggest leap forward which will help you so much next year.

I am really pleased you got that result! Okay, so November is nuts. It’s really good for endless talk or second draft/third draft with business ideas, possible money-earners, bank arrangements, rent/mortgage thoughts and so on. By all the laws of astrology you should not nailing anything down! I am saying this for the very good reason that Mercury Retrograde is upon us. I literally predicted October 2019 would be chaotic in Los Angeles two years ago. It’s here. It’s the biggest power outage in Californian history. Now, if you multiply that by millions of individual bank accounts, offices, apartments – you get to see the chain reaction spreading out across the US and across to Europe and Asia. I’m really giving you this as an example of what’s going down in November (and we are only at phase one of Mercury). We haven’t even factored in Brexit yet! This will absolutely affect you, and you certainly do not want to book too much/too far in advance, or assume too much about business either. One flakey person in particular won’t come right until December at least so please don’t get into bed with him or her, in any meaningful way. Give them time and space to get it together!

You could have a sexual relationship – it’s up to you. You would have to compromise massively or make huge sacrifices to do so. You may not want sex that much! Scorpio is about physical passion and yet it comes with a price tag on a particular house, apartment or cash sum. You do have choices and one is staring you in the face in November, but you might not want it. One of the issues is the power gap between the pair of you and it’s not really helpful to have such an obvious imbalance between ‘the needy and the needed’ or ‘the richer and the poorer’ – for example. November is superb for travel, study, teaching, publishing, the internet. Use the last week. You’ll be glad you did!

Your Scorpio stellium in the Eighth House, which rules your house, any property investment, Air BnB revenue raiser, bank loan, superannuation/pension question, apartment rental, business idea or tax bill, is now Lit. Capital L for Lit, too. The trouble is you have a weakest link involved, likely to be someone who is a dodgy link in the chain and is vague, unreliable, disconnected or just absent-minded. Don’t be put off by that in terms of the larger picture. Try to see this matter as a work in progress. You do need to do some massive clearing up and sorting out with your financial or business interests, or specifically property, for 2020. November is not that month but it is great for researching your options. Seeing who and what is out there for 2020. You can act on this in December when life is way more settled!

It’s really about November 2019 not so much 2020, as the Scorpio weather is over by December. Until then, you need to look at how much money you are paying out for some costs you know very well, are a problem. Are you being ripped off? Wasting your money? Beyond this question of really throwing it away (when you could be doing so very much better) you need to look at how to save it and make it, too. Just in the last few days a logo, brand or organisation crossed your path. You remembered meaning to do something about that a long time ago – then left it. Well, look again. There are some really good reasons for doing this, not the least of which is a classic Mercury Retrograde problem. Something has gone missing, or you’ve been stuck with a weak link in the chain. People have been wrong, vague, absent or not ‘there’ for you – or an organisation has let you down. Make that your very, very good reason to research massively superior options for 2020, but do it in November. This makes a difference to your bank account next year.

SCORPIO STELLIUM – If your birth chart shows a Stellium in SCORPIO, please ask your questions in the forum this month. Jessica will reveal what that Stellium means for you this year, just like a private astrological reading. When you look at your birth chart, if you have three or more heavenly bodies showing in SCORPIO then you have a Stellium in the ninth house and you can ask your question this month.

    How it works

The forum closes midnight Sunday Pacific Standard Time (US West Coast). Jessica will respond to your questions on Sunday and Monday following the forum closure.
