It’s not often an astrologer reviews an astronomy website but have a look at Sea Sky and the Pisces constellation. The star marked 7 here is Omicron. Sound familiar? That’s the new COVID-19 variant and the WHO named it as we approach the historic new Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces cycle.
We are heading into the usual December-January Capricorn weather, pushing against anything in Cancer in your natal chart (which rules the family or home) and against the Cancer Moon (which times situations with your relatives, house or apartment, no matter what your chart looks like.
Whatever your personal situation is in terms of your house, flat, family or flatmates, you are likely to have a special wish-list at the moment. Maybe you want kitchen renovations. Perhaps you just need your Dad’s presence at a family gathering. As with all Capricorn-Cancer cycles, though, you will not truly be able to get what you want, unless you realise that a large amount of patience, work and co-operation will be required. Astrology is really about timing, so if you don’t get the wheels going around smoothly for Christmas or New Year, don’t dwell. The timing is terrific once you sail into the final week of February. You cruise from that point.

You are heading towards a period of tremendous solutions for issues with the group, but also big answers coming from a group, too. If an entire Twitter circle of people is involved, or if there is some general work or social life trend pushing you to change, you can be sure that trying to maintain your old situation will be (at best) uncomfortable as the arrival of Jupiter in Pisces as 2021 ends, tells you to think bigger. So, let’s talk about the Uranus in Taurus cycle. What you do in secret in these years until 2026 will help you break free of situations which are keeping you stuck – spiritually and psychologically. Foreigners and foreign countries are just a few of the avenues on the map of life, which Neptune will work through now. It is the planet of unreality. It has nothing to do with what’s real, practical, and every day. But it has everything to do with what is an alternate reality. Life! As with all Neptune cycles, a trusted friend or partner who has a good unreality detector can really help you now. If you work in a profession where other languages or cultures are everything (like most web-based business, for example) or your status in life depends on your grasp of another accent and you know it) – then this cycle needs special consideration.
The potential is enormous, Cancer, because in December, Jupiter (solutions, opportunities) moves into this same chart zone, where the state of unreality has been the norm for many years. The best way to enjoy this new cycle, is not to take Neptune without taking Jupiter as well. Make sure the people around you know that it’s just another story, which Neptune tends to deliver, in your solar Ninth House. This time it’s for real, even though it’s not real. And remind yourself, every minute of the day, that this is just your year to explore (2022, coming soon) and what or whom you get lost in now, is special now – as Neptune can baffle and confuse us so much, that it is always useful to stop, periodically, to use Jupiter. Money, possessions and property could cause tremendous confusion in this cycle, unless you take off your blinkers and try to see the reality of your situation. Fortunately, Jupiter is here to help. Well, Uranus in Taurus is here and the ongoing world-flip with your travel commitments – the short journeys you take, either in your own car, or more adventurously, on planes, boats or scooters – continues. This cycle would be here even without new COVID-19 variants to up-end the world, but here you are. Your health, medical condition, stamina, life force and wellbeing are also in focus now. The Sixth House of your solar chart always makes us feel as if we are going through the motions on a daily basis, because it rules the routine of the dentist, doctor, the mask over the face, the pantry, the fridge and so on. Well, with the family and/or your career – hearing the same stuff all the time or being stuck with the same set of circumstances – or watching the world go through the same predictable motions – can only go on for so long. The family, relatives or household is one likely source of stuck wheels. Your career, unpaid work or course is the other. Those nodes are pesky. This also applies to situations closer to home. Your karma will demand that you deal with recurring situations involving people from other ‘home’ areas for you – real-estate agents or councillors, for example – or politicians.
