EARTH

 

Earth shows the act of receiving and is also known as The Receptive. Earth holds water when it rains. It takes seeds. It receives sunlight. From this comes growth. Sometimes all you have to do is let nature take its course and accept gifts which help new life to begin.

The idea of yielding, surrendering, accepting and then holding is central to Earth. You can see why this applies to marriage, say. Be open. Take from him or her. Earth has twin qualities. It receives and also gives back.
