Taurus weather is here, with Mercury Retrograde in the money and property sign, from Friday, April 7th until Thursday, June 1st, 2023. If you have anything in your natal chart in Taurus, which Aries Sun people commonly do, this may be personal. The usual delays, rewrites, cancellations and technical issues will affect you more if you have factors at Taurus 5-15. Strangely, this is one of the very few Mercury Retrogrades where you will end up in a better position, saving or making money.
The reason for this is that Jupiter with all his sweeping answers and magnificent gains, is in Taurus from 17th May. The North Node in Taurus is also in a sextile with Saturn on 14th April so that presses home the point, that everything which you stand to benefit from, May 17th, 2023, until May 25th 2024, is karmic in nature.
In fact, if you think back to the last time the North Node was in Taurus, April 14th, 2003, until December 26th 2004, you will realise you are owed.
What you did or said then, created good karma for you with money, shopping, sales, charity, business, houses or apartments. The real triumph is next year, actually, with the rare conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus on April 25th, 26th 2024 which is liberating, rewarding and has huge wow-factors for you. The Sun entering Taurus on 20th April will show you what you need to see, no matter if this is Wall Street or eBay.
An eclipse is always a blind spot or cover-up and this one falls on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, with the Sun at 29 Aries and Moon at 29 Aries. This is another strange event in astrology because even though you won’t see and cannot know who/what is really there; you are still in a terrific position when it comes to your title, appearance and reputation. To be on the safe side, though, skip the eclipse and allow the day before and day after. Driving without headlights is never a good idea. The Aries eclipse is in your First House of image, profile, publicity and self-promotion. If you can choose your photo shoot or weight loss program at any time, you would avoid April 19th, 20th, 21st as the whole world is flying blind then.
We also have a Full Moon on the 6th of April, in opposition to the Sun in Aries, again in your First House of packaging and presentation. This is another date to avoid, if you have the luxury of choosing your ‘Me’ agenda moves at any time. You’d be skipping April 5th, 6th, 7th as a Full Moon is global and reaches us all at different times.
In general, this period is terrific for relaunching your image, or using your image. You can get away with the most jaw-dropping things, with Chiron in Aries, alongside Jupiter in Aries – until May 16th. Jupiter’s protective force field and famous luck factor vanishes on May 16th, though, so whatever you set up for yourself in April should be short-term. This strongly applies to you if you are using a fake name and face online. That is a classic example of what works brilliantly over a few weeks and then stops.
In other words, those tricky eclipses and Full Moons could catch up with you later, if you’re just banking on getting away with the so-called outrageous, impossible or unthinkable – regarding yourself. Be aware of what you set up then, because from May 16th the big Jupiter umbrella has gone.

Taurus, this goes backwards and gets stuck with Mercury Retrograde in Taurus from April 7th until June 1st, 2023. This may be your name on a business card; your website; your photograph. Expect delays and flux, have Plan B and Plan C as well. Normally we wouldn’t pay attention so much, but you also have the North Node, Uranus and eventually Jupiter in Taurus, so 2023 is really important for your Google reflection.
It’s fair to say that the waiting game and flux until the 1st of June serves a higher purpose. In fact, as you will see from Jupiter’s arrival in Taurus on May 17th, you will actually gain. All the finger-drumming and rewrites of your name or title, or the story being told about you, will eventually make sense later, as you realise it was part of a process designed to relaunch you properly.
Skip the Full Moon on Thursday, April 6th and the eclipse of Thursday, April 20th for religion, Tarot, counselling, hypnosis, self-help, psychic, psychological, spiritual priorities. It’s a big stretch on a Full Moon and you’ll be blind to the facts on the eclipse. Again, this is an odd period in your life as in general, you gain enormously from the church (say) or a therapist. Jupiter is in Aries after all until May 16th. Yet, these periods in your life are a big ask so you may prefer to avoid. If a friend suggests a medium to you on the eclipse, for example, you’d choose later.

This Taurus weather goes through your Twelfth House of the subconscious, soul, spirit and psyche. You’ll go backwards and forwards as your ruler Mercury is retrograde from April 7th to June 1st, 2023. This long loop, is likely to see cancellations, delays and changes to your schedule. This may be your decision to enrol in hypnosis or the paperwork involved with a retreat. Mercury is about the paperwork, e-mails, post, telephone calls and negotiations.
This is actually quite important, as we find Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, then Jupiter from the 17th of May. So, this inner life and inner world of yours is quite revolutionary, ongoing. It’s where you find freedom from something/someone (or freedom through them). So you may ditch Hillsong and take up Tibetan Buddhism. It’s on that level. Uranus is about radical change, and it tends to happen rapidly, like an electrical storm and lightning bolt. This is karmic in nature Gemini and takes you back to life as it was 18-19 years prior. April 14th, 2003, until December 26th, 2004, should provide a few clues.
From the 17th of May, you will realise – you are owed. You are owed good karma, no matter if your priority is crystals, healing, the Anglican church or self-help books. Even these delays and this endless flux with Mercury may be part of the tangle that later on creates the tapestry.
The Full Moon on Thursday, April 6th and the Eclipse on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, are unhelpful for Twitter, friends, clubs, teams, societies, bands, trade unions, political parties and the like. The Full Moon pulls you or other people in two. It’s hard to choose and decide. The eclipse is a cover-up and blind spot. The friendship, or the group, is on the line the first time and in the dark, the second time.
In general, your social life, friendships and circles of people boom at this time. In fact by May 16th you can look back on the last twelve months or so, and spot some really big benefits, from all that has changed. You still have terrific opportunities and solutions here but swerve around those two lunar patterns. The rest is up to you, game’s on. Ball’s in your court.

Cancer, Mercury Retrograde will result in computer muddles and people going back on their word from April 7th to June 1st, 2023. This is the long Mercury loop in your Eleventh House of friendships, your social life, communities, clubs and teams. There will be technical problems and you may find people do not stick to all they said or put in writing. There will be rescheduling, and cancellations so make sure you are covered, if the band is going on the road (bit silly during a pandemic) or you are hiring people for your football team (read the fine print).
This works out extremely well long-term as you have the biggest and the best socially, and with groups of all sorts, from May 17th when Jupiter enters Taurus. Not only will Jupiter form a sextile with your Sun along the way by May 2024, but you will also have more friends; better friends; nicer groups to be part of. Old friends may turn up something great for you; they could help you out with your house or apartment, for example.
Just for now, be aware of the flux and get everything in writing with friends and groups. Have Plan B and C. In general, though, if you are Prince William and Aston Villa introduce you to amazing World Cup opportunities, you’d say ‘Hold my beer’ but wait until after the 1st of June to finalise what’s final.
You are ruled by the Moon so more affected by the Full Moon and Eclipses. Avoid Thursday, April 6th and Thursday, April 20th, 2023, and give it a day either side. These lunar patterns are a huge ask, for you or those around you. The issues at stake here would be your career, unpaid work or academic career – but also your house, family, apartment, household, town and country.
You can’t always choose when other people make their moves of course, but if you have to respond in full, and act in full, try to move past the Full Moon and Eclipse. You can check back on your time zone, at this website, to see when they have quit the scene. The Full Moon is in Libra on the 6th and the Eclipse is in Aries on the 20th.
In general, with your career, unpaid work or academic career, your luck holds. You are still in a terrific position with Jupiter in Aries until May 16th so pursue promotion, number one hits, new roles, goals and qualifications while this famous cycle is on your side. You only see it every 12 years so please use it.

This Mercury Retrograde paper trail and e-mail trail – or the negotiations – directly affects your place at the top, Leo. Expect flux and cancellations, technical issues or people reversing their decisions for some time, as April 7th to June 1st, 2023, sees the usual malarkey. This does not really affect the incredible opportunities and rewards ahead. In fact, it may be part of it. You never know! If you can choose any other time to sign or accept a signature, though, make it after the 1st of June.
When I talk about opportunities and rewards, I’m really talking about Jupiter, in Taurus and your Tenth House of ambition and achievement for the first time in 12 years. You are on a major growth curve here, professionally, in business, in academia or as a volunteer. By May 2024 (and even as late as April that year), you are up for promotion, number one hits, awards and so on.
April is an odd month when the wheels spin backwards and you get a feeling that ‘something’ is up ahead. Correct. It’s Uranus, the North Node of earned karma, Jupiter and your ruler the Sun. It’s not a bad idea to ask yourself what the top means to you. What the peak is. How you want to get there, what it actually is, in detail – and how you can hang on if you are there.
Aries rules foreigners and foreign countries in your chart, Leo, and you likely already took a terrific opportunity abroad, since 2023 began. It may be for work or personal reasons. There will be more to come by May, as Jupiter completes his cycle in Aries, alongside Chiron. Part of the cycle is getting away with what others think is outrageous or the so-called impossible. That is quite normal with Chiron. Jupiter supplies the expansion, growth and solutions. It’s all about another city or country, miles away, and that face there – or the map there.
Just skip a couple of dodgy dates for this and all will be well. Do not act or judge around the Full Moon on the 6th of April or the eclipse on the 20th. Allow a day either side for world time zone differences.
This Ninth House transit is also about publishing, the worldwide web and academia. Some or all of this may be involved in that huge growth area, in a distant city or nation. Given that your ruler the Sun is also in Aries in April, this should be a month of highlights for you.

You have been in this radically different Uranus in Taurus cycle since 2018, Virgo, so the big, rolling waves of change with different cultures, nationalities and countries are nothing new. These will roll backwards during Mercury Retrograde in Taurus from April 7th to June 1st, 2023. You are ruled by Mercury so more affected by the rescheduling, cancellations and delays. Read the fine print when booking travel, if you are even travelling on a pandemic, and have a look at paperwork if dealing with two or more languages. This is standard stuff for this cycle.
What is very different about 2023, though, is the arrival of Jupiter in Taurus, in the same zone of your chart, from May. You are owed from 2003-2004, when the North Node was last in Taurus. Good karma is coming. You will expand in the most terrific way, across either hemisphere, or into different parts of your own nation (which still feel foreign to you) from May. By May 2024 you may have emigrated, signed up to new exports, welcomed another culture in your world at home and so on.
Academia, publishing and the web are part of this transit. Just be aware of the flux, April 7th to June 1st, 2023, but know that from the 17th of May everything is lifted, astrologically, in your horoscope. You go up and sideways, and the solutions and opportunities you need will be there, Virgo.
Avoid Thursday, April 6th and Thursday April 20th, and give it a day either side. These lunar patterns are unhelpful, no matter if it’s fundraising or selling on eBay. A Full Moon is inner conflict for you or others. An eclipse is a blind spot and sometimes a cover-up job.
You can’t always choose when other people make their financial, taxation, charity, business, share market or sales moves of course, but try to move past the Full Moon and Eclipse. Don’t bank on anything or anybody near those dates, as your luck will not last beyond May 16th. Luck does have a habit of running out when Jupiter changes signs.
In general, your luck holds, though. Jupiter was born lucky and offers people at the Eleventh Hour a lucky way out or through. He is that kind of astrological symbol. And if you’re on a roll? You can keep going.
So box clever, skip the lunar issues I’ve mentioned on the 6th and 20th of April, and keep on trying for ‘bigger and better.’ You are still in a terrific position with Jupiter in Aries until May 16th.

You are going to hit all kinds of delays, flux and reversals from April 7th to June 1st, 2023, but know that from 17th May everything is lifted, astrologically, in your horoscope. This is such an odd time. April and May are chaotic, partly because of a trickle-down impact from Wall Street and other share markets. They are classically like a jumble sale gone wrong on this transit. At the same time, Libra, you gain. You stand to make or save quite a lot of money after Jupiter changes signs near May 17th. So, in an odd way, either the flux of April and May fails to affect you, or it is actually a key part of what you gain.
A classic example would be an unfixed share price that dives down (so you buy a bargain) then soars up later. I don’t give financial advice, but that’s a passable example. Another might be, finding a teapot on a stall at the market for $5 and then being offered $50 for it later. Jupiter is really about gaining, expanding, growing, inflating (he is a gas giant in astronomy) so line that up with the zodiac sign of Taurus, ruling gold bullion and bull markets, and you can see why the second half of May is interesting.
I’m not madly keen about the situation with a duet or duel on this lunar cycle for you. Avoid Thursday, April 6th and Thursday, April 20th, and give it a day either side. These lunar patterns are unhelpful, as your luck with a partner, or a weak opponent, will not last beyond May 16th.
Jupiter leaves your opposite sign of Aries around that date, so your protection and reward is also over, as he departs your Seventh House. Of course you can give it lots of your best shots, if you avoid the Full Moon and Eclipse, and try your luck with a particular person, all the way to the second half of May. This is a classic cycle for engagement, remarriage, moving in together, starting a professional partnership and so on. It’s also very good for separation or divorce, Jupiter being the greater benefit to accompany you at the split.

Scorpio, there is a long period of flux with or for your other half, or involving the other side, ahead. You can expect rescheduling, cancellation and reversals from April 7th to June 1st, 2023. But know that from the 17th of May, you will also realise that some of this malarkey may have contributed to a terrific outcome. It can happen!
Your wife (say) or your number one enemy, are in the frame with this Taurus weather. It’s your opposite sign, so this is really about the other face on the other side of the scales. We sometimes see this with legal issues because the scales symbolise justice. More commonly, it is about trying to balance with another person. This might be your boyfriend, say, or perhaps you want some balance in a feud. The other person can be your partner in crime on a campaign, or a work partner.
The muddles and befuddlement of Mercury Retrograde are notorious. Get it all in writing with/for/through the other side. Get it so that it’s flexible enough to contain Plan B or Plan C. If you were marrying, for example, then you would have alternatives in case guests cancel because of COVID-19. If you were hoping to start some kind of epic partnership with your other half, you’d know that it would be beset by all sorts of twists and turns by June 1st.
As I’ve said, this does work out extremely well. The duet or duel is lucky for you from the 17th of May. The way out, or the way through, is there within weeks.
Avoid Thursday, April 6th and Thursday, April 20th, and give it a day either side, when it comes to your paid work, unpaid work, academic career, health and well-being. These lunar patterns are unhelpful, as your luck will not last beyond May 16th.
In other words, if you were banking on still being able to get away with things, this is less likely after the second half of May. In April itself, skip those dates, which reveal a Full Moon and Eclipse; never helpful.
Overall you have a limited time to snap up opportunities and solutions, no matter if you are seeing a doctor; focussed on a project; caught up with an important role or goal. Jupiter is in Aries it’s true but not forever. In April, you may want to do some fancy footwork to avoid those dates and then resume, with a view to pulling off your biggest and best outcomes by mid-May.

Avoid Thursday, April 6th and Thursday, April 20th, 2023, for these matters – and give it a day either side. You can pick up again and chase a goal until May 16th. The 6th and 20th are lunar transits you may want to avoid.
A Full Moon pulls you in two, or it pulls other people in two. You can see how that would happen with a son or daughter, perhaps. Maybe with a relationship. The Eclipse later on near the 20th is really about being hoodwinked or having the truth in plain sight, but unable to see it. You wouldn’t go on a first date then, astrologically speaking. An eclipse conceals, it never reveals. It does what it says on the packet. It obscures things, covers them up and leaves you in the dark.
More happily, your lucky ruling planet Jupiter is on your side, despite this and there is still time to go for that incredible opportunity or solution by mid-May. It would concern all Fifth House matters, so the bedroom, courtship, parenthood, teaching and so on. This is where you are Queen or King to a younger court and have heirs, spares or pretenders to your throne. The bedchamber and courtship itself is also involved. You’re in great luck here but avoid those two lunar ‘no’ moments.
This Taurus weather is tricky and make no mistake. You’ll find yourself rescheduling all over the place in April and May, as your paid work, unpaid work or academic career is subject to flux. You could make a change once, then have to change it back. People may not be reliable when you are negotiating with them, and that is putting it politely. It’s not unusual to have a Mercurial figure appear then take everyone backwards. So, a relief teacher at school, if you teach – or a substitute secretary at work, filling in.
The odd thing about this Taurus weather is that it takes you somewhere terrific from mid-May. So if you were given the run-around with a job interview or put through a waiting game, or even if you took it and then quit, mid-May would somehow recycle all that into something better for you. Mercury Retrograde precedes the Jupiter ingress, in astrology.
Jupiter is your ruler. He is about growth, hope, expansion, solutions and improvements. He turns up for the first time in 12 years from mid-May and stays until May 2024, so I’d expect you to be promoted, in a new job, accepted in a course, on top of a big success and so on. Of course, you have to do the work. In other cases you could retire gracefully, resign and improve your lifestyle, work from home (to your total delight) and so on.
I’ve not mentioned the health and well-being pluses. Those are also on offer with Jupiter in your Sixth House from mid-May. Again, though, this begins with delays, cancellations and changes in April and May, as Mercury Retrograde kicks in. In all cases, get it in writing, have Plan B and C and expect flux.

The choices you or others make about where home is, or what home means, or which side of the family tree to pursue – are central. You have so many factors in Aries in your Fourth House this month, that a waiting game is likely. Some of those factors are blocked and stopped, you see. So are you. Or so is a key person, probably a man. If you are a male Capricorn, you could be suspended for a time, as you feel unable to make a move. This may be relocating or emigrating which is extremely common on this transit. Sometimes it’s travel. There may be a ‘stay put’ situation with the house or apartment, but you realise you have to make some huge move towards a family member, or a branch of the family. That is also really common on these transits.
If you are a woman then this man is your husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin and so on. He is a player with the family tree. The state of suspended animation is also down to Mercury Retrograde which affects everybody. Retrograde is stuck, dangling, going nowhere fast – like a suspended crane on a building site. What changes, and when it changes, will be really dramatic. Everything will change at once, actually. This feels as if it will happen no later than mid-May when Jupiter ends his stay in Aries, in this zone of your chart. To be on the safe side, skip decisions at Full Moon and on the Eclipse, April 6th and 20th. Allow a day either side.
The new freedom, growth and improvement in your life that comes from the middle of May 2023 until May 2024 is flagged early. April is really important. Even if you are stuck or go backwards, keep the faith. Jupiter is a 2000-year-old symbol of everything that is big, in astrology. He will be in Taurus in your Fifth House of bedroom, courtship and parenthood (as well as other people’s children and teenagers) in weeks. You have a preamble in April. It does involve Mercury Retrograde so it will begin with backward wheels. You may, for example, have a date lined up with a single parent, but she changes it a couple of times. Perhaps you are in the queue for adoption but find the paper chain stops for a while.
Uranus, Jupiter and the North Node together in Taurus are formidable. From mid-May good karma from life 18 or 19 years prior comes back to you. A son may do well at university, for example. Uranus is the freedom part of the equation, so you will find you have independence through, or independence from. It may be independence through efforts you put into infants, perhaps volunteering at a school. If you need freedom from a difficult child, then it may come through massive solutions, later on. Yet, the paperwork or negotiations in April itself would be backwards. Keep the faith.
Premium? Go on.
Property investment, a new home, family improvements and growth, a bigger or better household – and a new relationship with your town and country – are coming. Jupiter in Taurus is up ahead, joining your ruler Uranus from mid-May 2023 until May 2024. You could renovate, pursue different furnishings, plough money into conservation or environmental plans locally and so on.
This unusual gathering of Uranus (freedom, independence) and Jupiter (improvement, expansion) involves the North Node of karma, so whatever you were up to 18-19 years ago comes back. You could call it good karma.
None of this happens without delays, flux and cancellations in April and May. Mercury Retrograde is with you. Have Plan A and B and get it all in writing. This is particularly important with the building industry as stop-start progress is common on this transit and we are also wading through a pandemic. The property market will be uncertain for around two months. This is a classic cycle for buyers pulling out, or for you changing your bid at auction. It is a classic cycle for new flatmates who move in, then move out weeks later.
Oddly, for all the malarkey of April and May, you end up in a terrific position. Home really will be where the heart is eventually no matter what or who home means.
The Third House of your chart is ruled by Aries and, in turn, it rules brothers, sisters and cousins. Aquarius, you have a few weeks left of opportunities and solutions, for these relatives, or through them. Jupiter is the greatest and best in the Roman mythology which informs our astrology. It’s a timing symbol for ‘go bigger’ and usually offers you more. Beyond a nice glut of options for or through your sibling or cousin, there are usually solutions. If there have been any issues at all with family, then they can be sorted out.
The only thing to avoid is a Full Moon and an Eclipse, so skip April 6th and 20th and the days either side. The Full Moon is a big ask or big stretch. The eclipse is a cover-up job or blind spot.
Premium? Go on.
You have a few weeks to go with Jupiter in Aries in your Second House of personal income. Jupiter is, as you probably know, a terrific timing device if you want an opportunity, or a reward. In fact you should already be richer than you were or have saved proper money. You may also have picked up a far superior option with (say) a bank. There is more to come, Pisces. If you didn’t act on previous solutions, then it’s not too late. Jupiter has a funny way of fixing everything even at the last minute and you have until mid-May.
The key is to avoid the Full Moon and Eclipse, please. Full Moons are oppositions, or clashes, between the Sun and Moon. They usually deliver very mixed feelings and sometimes real inner conflict and outer conflict too. For all that you’re in the luck zone with money until mid-May, try to skip the April lunar problems. So that’s April 6th and 20th. Give it a day either side. The eclipse on the 20th is basically like driving with the headlights off. Don’t go up that road please and wait a day or two. You should be quids in, just a little more (or a lot more) by the end of the Jupiter in Aries transit in mid-May, and as Chiron is also in Aries, there is someone here to show you what you can get away with.
Taurus rules the Third House of your chart and siblings are associated with this sector. So are cousins. You can double that message if they live nearby. Treble it if they are part of your worldwide web life or media interests. However a sibling or cousin fits into your world, and no matter if you are close or not, April is really important. May is even more so, because there is a terrific opportunity coming through this person or regarding them.
Siblings and cousins have been on your radar with new tracking since May 2018 when you entered a new cycle regarding them. It’s been unpredictable. It has sometimes taken you aback. And yet, and yet, you have also found independence from them, or independence through them. There is a difference, and you are about to see the difference again. Imagine being in the House of Windsor where there are two Pisces princes. Siblings to each other and siblings to Anne and Charles.
For all that you will go backwards in April and May, get stuck, be held up, deal with cancellations and whatnot, eventually you will find things sort themselves out with your brother, sister and/or cousin. In fact it begins in the second half of May and carries on to May 2024. Until then have Plan B and Plan C up your sleeve. Plans tend to get scuppered when Mercury’s retrograde.
