This month will put education, travel, publishing, the web and people from other cultures on your agenda. As with all Moon cycles, you may come across a particularly obvious parent-child dynamic in connection with these areas of your life.
Even online at home, you will find that people from other cultures, regions and countries play a bigger part in your life. Conversations with them will broaden your horizons and open up your world. The Ninth House also rules publishing – both online and through the world of books and media. You can gather a lot of information very quickly at this time.
Complicated Relationships
How are you going to make it from Paris to Provence if you’re constantly game-playing with the guy you just picked up in the last hotel? Let’s consider the health, fitness and wellbeing aspect of this cycle first. Everything about your body will be a lot more obvious now which is why it’s classically a time for a medical check-up. You’re a machine/you’re not a machine is the message of January.
Your everyday working life has its own chain of command, Leo. Even if you’re working for yourself (or head of the home), you still have to think about your duty to other people. All work is a service even if you’re apparently calling the shots. If you’re a President or a Prime Minister, you still have a duty to the people who voted for you. So, in a way, you’re still in service to them, just as a PA is to her boss. You can be a full-time house husband or housewife or carer and still feel the choices.
The Chain of Command
Not just a great XTC song. This cycle will strongly influence the chain of command where you are, so reduce the heat and speed. Cool down and slow down. If you are in the Royal Family, for example, this will be about Anne, Beatrice and Meghan. It’s about your firm or your entire sphere of duty and service.
This cycle has a lot to say about your relationships with bosses, employers, clients and colleagues. The same with doctors, nurses, surgeons, dentists, psychiatrists and so on. It’s about work and wellbeing. And it’s about complex connections and understanding human foibles.

Piscean musician Andy Gibb of the Bee Gees family also married during this cycle on July 11th, 1976. Like Costello, he also had Mercury in the Fifth House too. Big commitments tend to happen when planets pile up here.
Find a technique (mental or physical) that will ground you, stabilise you, centre you and release that energy. Then, get outside opinions from people you trust and respect who have no vested interest in the situation but can give you excellent impartial opinions. It may be that you’re right. It must seem as if every Christmas and January (since 2008) has bought some kind of drama. Family members arriving. And yes, you’ve had even bigger losses and departures than that in the family since 2008, Libra.

If you’ve been profiled, there was identity theft or your digital ID (or any file on your name) was an issue, the stakes dropped massively at the end of 2024.
Onwards into January 2026
Mars is about attack or defence. You may feel like ‘attacking’ goals which relate to your look, style, role, name or public profile now. Hibernation – New Moon in the Twelfth House
This cycle can also bring a period of hibernation as you remove yourself from the outside world and turn your attention to your inner world instead. You may also be researching a retreat of some kind – a period of time in your life or a special place where you hope to find some solitude and privacy. The Twelfth House rules the time we spend by ourselves.

The Sun is neither negative nor positive; it just works like the real Sun illuminating whatever it touches. When it moves into the Twelfth House, it lights up anything and anybody that is private. Often, people get attention for their secrets at this time. Whatever has been covered up so carefully is finally exposed.

Friends are often in the background of our lives, but not in this cycle. Within just a few days, you’ll feel as if you are watching a Hollywood film of your life with one or more of your friends cast in the starring roles. You’ll either feel like standing up in your seat at the end and applauding or giving the whole show a thumbs down. Either way, you get to learn about your friendships and what’s brilliant (or disappointing) about them.
A special phase in an old friendship can also begin now. Even if you’ve been with this person for years, destiny will throw you together for a few weeks next.
