Aries

Your Inner World Delivers Boundaries

The Sun’s spotlight in Pisces in your Twelfth House of inner life, will swing on all the things you achieve privately, or by yourself – away from other people’s attention. Your relationship with your God. The Tarot. Your therapist. Your self-help books. It’s about what you do quietly. The Sun is neither negative nor positive, it just works like the real Sun – illuminating whatever it touches. When it moves into the Twelfth House, it lights up anything and anybody you have been keeping to yourself, so that everyone else can see it.

This is extremely useful as you are going through the greatest change in your inner life, in 28-29 years. Saturn is entering Pisces, joining Neptune. For years now, your inner world has been all over the place, all the time, everywhere. It has frequently confused you and confused others. Ever since April 4th, 2011, when Neptune moved in, you have been cruising, drifting, escaping – through the church, psychics, hypnosis, dreams and the rest. March 2nd and 7th are turning points when you will discover new rules are required.

You can feel exposed at this time – as if you’ve suddenly been made aware of everything that you’ve been covering up, or even forgetting about yourself. The exposure is useful, though, as it will enable you to get in touch with who you really are, when nobody else is around. What’s inside your clockwork? The Twelfth House rules your subconscious, as well as your soul. March 2023 is the most important month of the year for introspection and the inner gaze. What was random, and frequently chaotic, is now under new restrictions. New limitations and boundaries.

This self-examination can happen through meditation, dreams, psychic experiences, astrology, counselling, therapy, or keeping a journal. It can happen through being infected with COVID-19 (and isolating), having Long COVID (and retreating), going on a Buddhist retreat – or through being forced to live/stay/work in an isolated place, cut off from normal life. This cycle sheds light on the person you actually are, when you’re not out there being someone else’s friend, sibling, parent, child, partner, boss, colleague – whatever. Having been there since 2011, you are now back ‘there’ but this time with new circumstances which will keep you on the inside, or very much on the outside.

The world peers in now and says “Ah! That’s who you are – really. We always knew there was more to you than that.” You will feel, quite literally, self-conscious now – conscious of yourself, as it really is. You only get one chance a year to see the real ‘you’ on this level – but if there is anything that needs fixing up about your inner self, it will be impossible to ignore. Your secret self is known to Jungian and Freudian psychologists alike as your unconscious. Mediums call it your spirit. Right now, it may feel as if it’s all of you. Take great care about who or what you let into your life, near 7th March on the Saturn ingress. Once you are committed, this will be impossible to move very much. You have to commit to some new situation on this transit but lower the stakes. Beware the woo-woo group in Los Angeles, who claim to be ‘spiritual’ and want you to invest your life’s savings. It’s on that level. Don’t drink the faux herbal tea please. Saturn is heavy. Lead is his metal. Saturn in Pisces, alongside Neptune in Pisces, is breath-taking in its impact until early 2026. Enter new situations with great caution. Do you have Pisces factors in your natal chart? Double that message about March. You also have transits in your natal Twelfth House too and Saturn is not to be trifled with. You will need a new system and new approach, Aries. Doesn’t matter if it’s your cosmic secrets or the Vicar.

Your Friends and Groups Transform

The end of Saturn in Aquarius and your Eleventh House of friends and groups, and the beginning of Pluto in Aquarius, dominates March. You will be pleased to see the end of geographical distance separating you from friends, or perhaps other barriers to closeness, severe differences in political views, for example, or views on vaccination or masks. The transit began at Christmas 2020 and although 2021 wasn’t so difficult, thanks to a twin transit with Jupiter in Aquarius, in 2022 you have struggled to patiently endure a social life where you were barred from entry, or unable to get out.

This may have involved a band, team, political party, theatre ensemble or other core group, who were always going to involve you in superspreader events. Or did. This has been a common outcome of Saturn in Aquarius for many of my Sun Aries readers. Some other 2022 Saturn stories might have revolved around men who claim to be women or girls, accessing female space. That’s a pretty good example of what Saturn can do in the Eleventh House. You will have your own story. You may have lost friends, dumped friends, found friends converting into frenemies or found it hard to make new friends. This ends quite dramatically on 7th March and then from 23rd March you will encounter a change in your friend or group – or a new friend or group – which shows you what power means. Pluto always raises questions about who or what is in control. Who or what is top dog. Leader of the pack. If you can use self-control and willpower on a level you have never used them in your life, Aries, you will access influence and potency you never had before, either.

Aries, if you have Aquarius natal factors, this message doubles in importance in March. By April it may be that you are essential to a really powerful group.

Taurus

Friends and Groups – New Rules

The arrival of Saturn in Pisces in your Eleventh House, suggests new restrictions where before you merely floated, with friends. You have had since 2011 to sift and sort, socially, but somehow, it’s never happened. You have been living with Neptune in Pisces, so the usual boundaries with your social acquaintances, particular circles of people, societies, associations, charities, grassroots organisations and so on, have vanished. The internet itself has been an aquarium.

Taurus, this alters as Saturn lands on March 7th. The group will still be an escape from reality. Perhaps it’s religious. The group, and its Venn Diagram circles, overlapping, may be what it used to be – but something new is happening. Saturn is here to ring-fence the constant flow. Neptune is nicely counterbalanced by Saturn. Neptune can be confusing and confused. Muddled and occasionally quite messy. Saturn tens to pull everything in. It’s an odd combination though and you’ve not had it before. So take your time before you sign on the dotted line, Taurus. Saturn is rather hard to get rid of once he has landed. Don’t just assume, do some homework. This is extremely important if you are going back to a group with new intentions or joining a new group. It is quite essential if a new friend appears, or an old friend reappears. Do you have Aquarius natal factors? If so, March doubles in importance, as Pluto enters your natal Eleventh House while Saturn leaves. Same story, told twice. Remember your greatest achievement by 2044 may well be, to give a group what it needs to reach its full people power potential.

Success, Ambition and Status

This historic month will be written about, and broadcast about, far and wide. Pluto goes into Aquarius, echoing a cycle that we saw with both the Regency and the dissolution of the monasteries. Saturn goes out of Aquarius, and your success, ambition and status seems oddly linked to the seismic shifts happening in politics, and big business. We might call it a domino effect. People and organisations with far too much power, who abused that power, are on the slide. They did really well for a time, but those times are changing. This affects your own career, academic career or unpaid work. The control is going back to people, not the elite, and it is also going back firmly to women.

This is quite a long cycle, and it lasts until 2044. It may go past your retirement, for example. You will be relieved to see the end of particular people, organisations or situations in your career on the 7th of March. You have been severely curtailed and limited in 2022. You may have gone into 2023 thinking that might still be the case, but actually, March will change your mind.

At the end of the month, when Pluto makes the ingress, you realise March 23rd is the beginning of the end. Not just the first quarter of 2023, but years and years of deep transformation involving foreigners, foreign countries and foreign cultures. That’s another story by itself, but for now, focus on making it to the top, or staying at the top. I dare say you won’t forget 2021 in a hurry, but actually, 2023 is showing you what the next 20 years or so could be like. Powerful and empowering. You are going to see people and organisations shape-shift from the final week, or they may leave your life. There may be potent, influential and domineering new people and organisations around you. Always go into a transit like this with your eyes wide open. To acquire the influence, which is shortly on offer, you will need to use tremendous willpower. Not to be taken lightly, Taurus.

Do you have Capricorn natal chart factors? If so, Pluto in your natal Tenth House (same thing) also departs in March. Domineering, dominating people and organisations go too.

Gemini

Foreigners and Foreign Countries

It may have been your cousin helping Russian oligarchs evade sanctions. You, wearing a badge for an anti-Islam political party. You, not really getting the language differences at work. Gemini, perhaps there is an entire country on the map you still put your teacup on, just to cover it up, but the good news is, Saturn is leaving Aquarius. Saturn, that symbol of obstacles and high walls, is moving from your Ninth House of foreigners and foreign countries. He moved in, during 2021, but it was 2022 that presented you with visa issues, passport hurdles, multicultural misunderstanding and the rest.

Saturn leaves on March 7th. Whatever has been blocking you or stopping you (those views on Ukraine) or the person who has been impossible to access – or get away from – now vanishes. There is an odd gap, of recovery and readjustment, until March 23rd when you realise everything is about to transform. Pluto is here. Same house. Foreigners and foreign countries.

Now, that’s not all the Ninth House rules in your chart. It also pulls in publishing, academia and for obvious reasons, the worldwide web. There may be an overlap here for you, Gemini, so your place at a foreign university may have been scrapped or a Chinese YouTube channel may be copying your work and so on. The Ninth House used to rule parchment manuscripts and long sea voyages in the old days. Today it’s digital and in translation.

Saturn tends to shut you out. So if you were infected with COVID on one tour, you may not want to tour again, to avoid having it twice and ending up with chronic fatigue syndrome. It’s really on that level, Gemini. March 7th lifts the drawbridge and in you go. Or out you go. It’s a fair analogy to say that life in 2021, particularly 2022 and this far in 2023 has been heavily obstructive for you. Pluto’s ingress on March 23rd suggests something completely different. Power walks in the room then. How you handle that level of power is up to you, but Pluto tends to demand extremes from people.

Do you have Sagittarius factors in your natal chart? They are also in your Ninth House of foreigners, and Mars in Gemini likely opposed them since September, so his end-retrograde in March will be a huge relief for you.

Success, Ambition, Position, Mission

The transit of Neptune in Pisces since 2011 has given you one escape route after another, when it comes to your personal definition of success. Big tubes to surf in, where you are quite removed from the ordinary and every day, have rolled in repeatedly. Thus your McJob, or early retirement, or vanity project and so on. Neptune is escapism. The alternative world. Transiting Pisces, in your Tenth House of roles and goals, it is really no surprise that you have washed up on this particular shore. Now, though, Saturn is here, from March 7th and in 2023, 2024, 2025 and early 2026 you must accept new restrictions.

The best analogy I can give you is sea walls. Cliff reinforcements. Neptune is everything, everywhere, all the time, all over the place. That is why it can feel like drifting with the tides or losing yourself in a current – surfing in a tube. Then, along comes Saturn and there are capital R Rules. It’s really important to avoid taking on a new project or role until you have the measure of Saturn. I put this in earlier forecasts for you, so you can prepare. Don’t just sign. Do your research and find out the real story from (say) forums or confidantes. You need to know, because once you’re committed, you really are stuck.

Do you have Capricorn factors in your natal chart? March is huge. Pluto leaves your natal Tenth House at the same time, so the relentless politics since 2008 vanish.

Cancer

Foreigners and Foreign Countries

You begin a rare cycle in March, when Saturn moves into your Ninth House of foreigners and foreign countries. Academia, publishing and the worldwide web can also be found in the Ninth House. Having floated, cruised and bobbed along since 2011, you now have to anchor. The dual transit of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces is highly unusual, and you’re not experienced. Take your time before you accept (say) foreign trips or immigration acceptance. It’s the same with people, incoming. So, the exchange student who wants to rent your spare room, but doesn’t speak your language, or the new career agenda being set by a far-flung country involved in the paperwork. March 7th begins the cycle, but you may want to box clever before then. Do your homework. Ask around. Don’t just assume.

Saturn restricts, limits and confines. When we apply that to your Ninth House of foreigners and foreign places, there is a great need to minimise the stakes. So, for example, you may prefer not to plan some kind of world tour (even on a pandemic, natch) or begin some grand plan to get a more diverse staff in your company. As I said, don’t just assume. Keeping what is at stake, as minimal as possible, is wise.

If you have Sagittarius chart factors and you are thinking very long-term about this (from 2026) then there is even more reason to do your homework. From 2026, Uranus in Gemini will oppose your Sagittarius factors in the Ninth House, you see. So, whatever you are planning in terms of who/what is overseas (or not from your culture) will be challenged, repeatedly, from that point. If you’re sorting out a plan, and it’s 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029…then cast your mind into the distant future and be a realist about all the parts of your life that are ruled by the Ninth House. Being bilingual (or not). Dealing with other religions (or not).

Finance, Property, Business, Valuables

Joint finance, property, business interests, valuables and charity commitments are ruled by Aquarius in your chart. Be this family inheritance or marriage and mortgage, it has been extremely challenging for you in 2022. Then, on March 7th, the ring-fenced situation ends. Very hard to get into. Very hard to get out of! The bank account, house, land, apartment, shares, company or philanthropic cause is no longer like bars on the window, or insurmountable walls. What replaces this obstacle for you, is tremendously different. So different, in fact, that you realise you have precious little experience to draw on.

That’s why, life after March 23rd, when Pluto enters Aquarius, is best managed with professional advice or wise insights from an objective outsider. The Eighth House, ruled by Aquarius in your chart, is about sexual and financial relationships, but also family-based property relationships. There are variations on this theme (the Mafia or Russian honey traps) but it’s most commonly about a lease with two names, or an inheritance which names you. What happens in the final week of March shows you what power looks like. Take your time. It may be helpful to keep the stakes low. Pluto transits are relentless. You have this one until 2044 so what or whom you commit to, or re-commit to, or even leave – has long-term impact.

Do you have Scorpio and/or Taurus chart factors? Double this message in March. Get the best advice you can afford. The months of May and July will be tremendous turning points for you, as you may already realise.

Leo

Finance, Property, Charity, Valuables, Business

For the first time in your life, Neptune and Saturn co-cycle in your finance, property, charity, valuables and business zone, starting on March 7th. The cycle takes you into 2024, 2025 and early 2026 so it’s important. Take your time before you commit or quit. Your fellow Leo, Jacinda Ardern, is doing both, as she steps down as Prime Minister of New Zealand. Whatever is happening in your life, having drifted and floated for years, you must now accept rules. This is an odd transit. Neptune is about the total lack of boundaries and the crosscurrents and tides which take you all over the place, with the bank (say) or taxation (perhaps) or your inheritance. Saturn is completely different. Saturn is about tight boundaries, heavy barriers and difficult obstacles.

Neptune tries to erode the walls and in a slow but subtle way, dissolve the barriers. Saturn tries to stop Neptune. As the situation you enter into from March 7th is reminiscent of this, choose carefully. You will get the transit one way or another, but you may as well keep the stakes low. It’s a good idea to get professional advice, should signatures be suggested, or to read widely around the issue at hand. Pisces in your chart rules the Eighth House of joint finance and shared property and it’s commonly about marriage and mortgage; a common-law marriage and shared lease; post-divorce financial obligations; family inheritance naming you; your own legacy which names other people. Leo, if you also have Scorpio factors in your chart, the importance of March is doubled, as there is karma here, with final closure in July.

Duets and Duels

Leo, March 7th sees the end of Saturn in your sector of ‘duets and duels’ (commonly, marriage but also enemies) and on March 23rd, Pluto enters the same sector. This is historic and extremely unusual. If your marriage has been on the rocks, March may break it up. Get the best advice you can afford as you need to avoid power and control issues, as anything inked in, by June 2023, may influence the post-divorce life for years into the future. Pluto will be in Aquarius in your Seventh House of duels and duets, to 2044. More happily, Leo, if your marriage is good, the heavy obstacles and multi-barriers you two have faced in 2021, but particularly 2022, and the early part of 2023, vanish in March. With this Saturn transit in Aquarius, you may have felt shut out, or locked in. Either one. Saturn feels really challenging either way, but for whatever reason, Leo, March 7th ends it.

Professional partnerships and business double-acts, platonic partnerships (two people sharing an apartment) and other ampersand-based duets, are also part of this transit. If you have been dealing with barriers, they come down on March 7th. Finally, if you are single, the restrictions and limitations (perhaps owing to COVID) which were so heavy in 2021, 2022 and early 2023 will vanish.

The Seventh House is symbolised by the scales of justice and the scales of fairness and equality in astrology. This is why we link it to duels and conflicts, as well as partnerships. When the scales are unbalanced, it may be a matter for the law. More commonly it is about the very human need to strive for harmony and symmetry, in a situation where things are lopsided or unworkable. Leo, if this sounds familiar, then the lead-weight atmosphere surrounding you in 2021, 2022, early 2023 lifts on March 7th. What was heavy, or who was heavy, is no longer that way. ‘Them Heavy People’ as Kate Bush sang (another Leo, like you).

Pluto comes along a couple of weeks or so after Saturn vanishes. If you are single and/or lack a professional partner, one could come along. Take your time. He or she is dominating, passionate, controlling and potent. You are going to have to strike a deal with this person long-term but also strike a deal with yourself. The Tarot can help. If you are in a conflict, or one arises, get the best advice you can afford. You do not want something that hangs around, because Pluto himself hangs around until 2044. Choose your battles, is good advice. So too, is a sharp awareness of anyone who presents as Pluto, presenting in the red corner, while you are in the blue. As I said, take the best pro advice you can.

In an existing partnership, like a marriage or professional partnership, power will walk in the door on the 23rd of March. So will control. The challenge until June is to handle it with care and thought. You can and should become empowered. Yet, you need to figure out the politics with this person, because it’s complicated and it’s also very new. Again, read right around the matter and take the trusted, tried, tested and true advice on offer from a pro, if you can invest in that.

Virgo

Duets and Duels

Virgo, March is life-changing for all the zodiac signs. Which sign is your partner born under? (Professional partner or sexual partner). If you don’t have a partner of any sort, a new person will come into your life, or take centre-stage, near the 7th of March. This month is about duets. Your other half, or the other side. Saturn moves into this sector of your chart, joining Neptune, which is extremely unusual. You won’t have any experience at all, so if you need to reach for a self-help book, or a counsellor, that may be useful. I’ll get to the duels part of the prediction in a moment, but let’s focus on duets. As I said, if you don’t have one, you’ll be offered one.

For years now, any time you co-exist with someone else in a partnership or attract a partner (sexual or professional) life becomes quite random. Everything and everybody is all over the place, all the time. That’s Neptune. Inasmuch as your marriage (say) has been a holiday from reality, and an escape from normality, it has also confused you, or just been confusing. It’s the same with any sort of sexual relationship, or a work duet. You may have had more than once since this Neptune in Pisces cycle began in 2011.

What happens in March is the arrival of necessary new rules. The need for great patience and stoicism. For all that the duet continues to be a way out of the everyday and the ordinary, you must now take a heavy reality check about new circumstances with or around your other half. You may be shut into a situation, which is very, very difficult to get out of. Virgo, you may also find yourself obstructed, so you can’t get past, or can’t gain access, or can’t get through.

Learning to surf well takes dedication. You have to read the ocean and know the rules. Respect the sea and stick to what is tried, tested, trusted and true. March is the beginning of a surfing lesson with this man or woman, Virgo. You will be surfing in 2023, 2024, 2025 and early 2026 so whatever currents you need to understand, try your best to do that. Don’t just do what you have done to date, float, drift, bob along. You are going to need to find out the sort of climate and conditions you’ll be dealing with – for some time.

If you are taking on a new sexual or professional partner in March, or committing to someone who has been hovering, take your time. Use the Tarot if you like, on this website, and ask around. Do some research. Don’t get into bed with Saturn if you can avoid it. Saturnine people are very, very heavy company. They come with all sorts of conditions, and restrictions, and limits and ring-fenced situations. You can ask any Leo about this, particularly if he or she had a bad experience with a lover or work partner in 2021 or 2022. Saturn people arrive with challenges and given this is a long transit, you need to be a realist. If you get into bed with Saturn, make sure it’s worth it and you know what the terms are.

Finally, to duels. Harry and William. Chalk and cheese. Elizabeth I and Bloody Mary. Much of what you are reading about duets, applies to duels as well. Take your time before you get into one or get further into one. Saturn is hard work. To date, the battle or competition has been a holiday from reality. A bubble to ride around in. It gets real from March, and you need to think carefully before you make decisions on this Saturn ingress. Ask around and get second opinions. All sense of an altered state or parallel universe that was there before (if you even had the insight) is changed once Saturn co-exists with Neptune in Pisces, your opposite sign. Double or treble that message if this is legal. Seventh House transits bring in the blindfolded lady with the scales hanging in her hand, through the association with Venus and Libra. Quadruple that message, Virgo, if you also have Libra factors in your natal chart.

A really good way to handle Saturn in Pisces is to minimise the stakes. You have to have the transit, but you can have it in a small way, in a minor way.

Workload and Well-Being

Virgo, you were born with the Sun in Virgo in the Sixth House of work, duty, service, well-being, mental health and physical fitness too. When it’s all going well, you shine, quite brilliantly. You are the well-oiled machine, when all is right in your world and you have your work-life balance sorted, as well as the delicate balance between mind, body and spirit. This part of your birth chart is tremendously important in 2023 and 2024, as Jupiter in Taurus will trine your Sun, and you will be in the spotlight – the centre of attention – for these very reasons. Almost like a poster boy or poster girl (whatever your age) for a particular approach to your health, on all levels.

You will also experience transiting Saturn in opposition to your natal Sun by early 2026 as the very latest, and so again, the mid-2020s are about your workload and wellness. You can’t separate the two, Virgo. Your solar (Sun Sign) chart says much the same thing; the key date being March 7th when Saturn leaves your Sixth House, and then March 23rd, when Pluto enters. March 7th and thereabouts is a relief. You have spent 2021 and 2022, and early 2023, dealing with all kinds of heavily ring-fenced situations keeping you shut into a space, or shut out of it. It has affected work, unpaid work, academia, daily routine, lifestyle, housework – the lot. Perhaps it’s been COVID. Whatever the reason, it ends on the 7th. Then, a couple of weeks later, power walks in the room.

Take your time as you choose your terms and conditions with people, organisations or situations which are so potent, so dominating, and so life changing. Pluto in your Sixth House of duty, service, daily routine and well-being is formidable, and he will be here until 2044. Don’t assume – find out. A classic example would be taking a new role with a very, very heavyweight powerhouse in charge and some strict new rules about (say) illegal drugs on the premises. I could give you 1000 examples, but you will have your own. Whatever you agree to by June will change your life. It will affect you, body and soul. Find out all you can about whatever path you are taking.

Leo had this cycle before you. Pluto in the Sixth House. Since 2008 every Leo you know has utterly and completely transformed lifestyle, work, unpaid work, academic career, the lot. The key here is ‘lifestyle’, and you need to be aware of the sort of lifestyle that comes with the choices you are being offered, near March 23rd.

Libra

The Bedroom, Courtship, Children and Teenagers

I’ve had so many Libra readers writing in about bedroom or courtship issues in 2021, 2022 and early 2023 that some patterns have emerged. Maybe you can relate. I’ve seen impotence in marriage and also shrugging indifference. Difficult teenage daughters who side with one parent or the other. Sons who say they are girls and want to frock up and save up for surgery. The Fifth House is ruled by Aquarius in your chart, and you’ve had Saturn in Aquarius, with all his restrictions and heavy limitations for a very long time. I have also had Libra readers who can’t get into bed with a lover (she’s married) or can’t get out of an affair (he threatens drama). I’ve seen I.V.F. questions and adoption questions.

Rather than bore you with all the permutations of Saturn in Aquarius, let’s focus on the end of him. He’s gone on March 7th. Pluto comes into Aquarius on the 23rd. Big change. Massive change. Given that you also have the South Node of karma going into your Seventh House of marriage, divorce, common-law marriage, separation in July 2023, a huge number of Libra Sun people are set to make major decisions from July. March is the warm-up act. You may get engaged or quit. It’s on that level. I suspect that once the South Node in Libra moves to the same degree as your natal Sun, sometime in July-December 2023 or 2024 – you are likely to see why life 18 or 19 years ago is talking to you.

Pluto is about power and control. In the Fifth House, replacing Saturn, he is about a new cycle (until 2044) when the bedroom, courtship, pregnancy, babies, children, teenagers are all part of wider questions about who top dog is. Do your level best to avoid getting into any new situation in March where a power struggle (say child custody or grandparents’ funding of private education) could go on until 2044. I’m not making that up. Pluto is here until 2044. Whatever you are dealing with in March, enjoy the end of the heavy, constant ‘buffer zone’ of Saturn in your life, and take your time (lots and lots of time) when you are presented with new choices at the end of the month.

Workload and Well-Being

Pisces rules your Sixth House of workload and well-being. This may explain why you have been drifting and floating, sometimes all at sea, since 2011. For all that your lifestyle, job, unpaid work or academic career has been a filtered space, quite apart from the real world, that is set to change in March. Neptune in Pisces in your Sixth House of routine, duty and service (and health) is joined by Saturn. This is rather like having a construction team move in on the beach. What happened to the vacation from reality? Now, it seems, you must adapt and adjust to all kinds of new barriers and barricading. As this is your body we are talking about, Libra, or your mental health, take your time and take the best advice you can afford. You don’t get a Sixth House ingress like this, without also having to think about self-care. Ask around, research and then figure out your plan. The thing about Saturn transits is – they hang around. So you don’t want to be lumbered with something that’s hard to wriggle out of in 2023, 2024, 2025 or early 2026, even.

The other classic advice with Saturn, and we stand on the shoulders of giants in astrology – is to lower the stakes. So if you are taking on a new job as a shift worker which you know will affect your health, you don’t just sign and turn up. Maybe there is another choice! For all the denial and fantasising about COVID out there, it is also a fact of life and so is Long COVID. This may be your Saturn moment. This transit tends to function best when you get the best advice you can afford but also do your own online homework. Real world.

Scorpio

Family, Household, Town and Country

Having been shut out with the family or shut in with them (or both) you must be relieved to know it ends on March 7th. Being made to stay at home, with COVID rules, may have been your story in 2021, 2022 or early 2023. That is one of 1000 examples I could give you. I’ve had Scorpio readers write in because they are geographically separated from their daughters (shut out) and separated, within a few miles, from their grandchildren (hostile son-in-law). It happens. Rather than go on about all the permutations of Saturn in Aquarius in your solar Fourth House of family, household, town and country – let’s just say it’s nearly over.

The Fourth House is about your mother’s side of the family; your father’s side; your own created family. It is about your ancestors. It is also about your heritage, culture and roots. For nigh on two years and counting, you have had big walls to face. A moat and drawbridge. Thou shalt not pass. Or maybe you’ve tried to gain access but been denied. Accessing the property market if you are a first-time home buyer is a good example. Or – trying to get out of a mortgage. This transit ends on March 7th with lessons aplenty for you, and you will take those lessons into the next big phase of your life, which starts on 23rd March with Pluto entering the Fourth House and staying there until the year 2044.

There will be a change in the balance of power in the family. Power may be based on age, gender, wealth (home ownership, budget control) or other factors. That is going to shift from the final week of March. Take your time as you both/all figure out the control as you will need a practical arrangement which can be altered over time. You also need something everybody can live with. Scorpio, as you have Uranus (freedom, change, revolution, independence) in your marriage and common-law marriage zone, I wouldn’t be too surprised to hear you are moving out, or he/she is going. Knock me down with a feather, Trevor. (It works very well for you if so).

Whatever the reason for the change in the balance of power in the family, the new deal has to function in a sensible way, and that means parking the emotion outside, if you possibly can. It’s pretty clear that the children are involved, or the godchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and so on – so that’s next.

Bedroom, Courtship, Children, Teenagers

You are seeing Saturn leaves your family zone, and Pluto go into your family zone, in March 2023. Pluto is your ruler so this is really important, as part of your role in life is to figure out the power and control issues with houses, land, apartments and property investments. Beyond that, we see Saturn go into your Fifth House of parenthood, and sexual relationships. This is unprecedented, as he joins Neptune.

For years, since 2011, there have been no boundaries with the bedroom; courtship; parenthood; other people’s children. Heirs, spares and pretenders to your legacy. The lack of boundaries has sometimes been chaotic, like the sea in a storm. At other times it has been an escape. A holiday from reality. Like the sea on a sunny day. Aquatic imagery is appropriate for this transit. You have been cruising (maybe literally, if you are gay), drifting, floating, and usually trying to strike a balance between lifting both feet off the ground and losing your footing. Neptune transits are notorious for taking us away, but also getting us in over our head. You have seen all sides of it in 2011-2023.

March 7th will confront the old expectations. There will be boundaries. What makes that necessary, we don’t know, but you will soon be dealing with heavy new restrictions. This tallies with what is happening with the family. As I said, it’ s a power shift. This may be your son marrying into a situation where it’s harder for you to see him. That can happen. It may also be your daughter, in the family business, setting firm new limits on your role. You will have your own story. Go into new commitments or decisions near 7th March very slowly and carefully. Marry at haste, repent at leisure, as they say. This may in fact be about marriage. Yet, it’s just as likely that after years and years of zero boundary existence with your children, you must now deal with some gates, fences and walls. Take good advice.

Sagittarius

Internet, Media, Publishing, Education

Sagittarius, your life will change between now and 2044 in slow stages, as you gradually begin to take control of the internet, the media, publishing and/or education. This has been a tough area for you since December 2020, and although 2021 had its benefits, 2022 was very heavy weather. The climate changes for you on March 7th as Saturn pushes off. Any restrictions or known limits will vanish. This may have been language barriers for some Sun Sagittarius people. In other cases you have been held back on projects with COVID. Whatever the reason, the departure of Saturn from Aquarius and your Third House of words, images, ideas and communication is welcome. You can lighten up. You can switch on your computer, telephone or microphone without automatically having to factor in X or make allowances for Y.

Pluto’s ingress on March 23rd will transform your life for about 20 more years, so it’s just as well you get in slowly, with a preview from March to June 2023. Pluto is about power. Tremendous, nuclear-level power. It is also about the desire to dominate. The people, plan or project which is obviously all that, is important in the final week. Whenever you have a Pluto transit, you have to cut a deal. There has to ultimately be a compromise or share agreement. Being a realist about that will help your decisions.

As well as connections and communication of all sorts, the Third House also rules siblings and cousins. The balance of power will change with them in the final week. Take your time as you put things into words. If you need advice, pay for the best you can afford. Finally, this transit is also about short journeys and commuting. The local scene. Neighbours, in the sense that Wales is a neighbour to England, or Canada is a neighbour to America.

All these strands may be woven together in one story in the last week of March or there may be separate threads. Common sense says, you would be attentive when neighbour issues arise, because they can so frequently become a channel for power or control questions, and nobody really wants those when there are two dogs staring at each other over a fence. Pluto was of course guarded by a dog.

The plus side of Pluto, long-term, is empowerment. His gift, should you show enough willpower and self-control, is a book (say) or website (for example) or film (perhaps) which is deeply and permanently empowering and gives you the reins. I said it was a deal, though. So get into bed with Pluto very carefully. Do you have Gemini factors? Long-term, discussions and ideas now, take off from 2026 with new technology which is not yet invented.

Family, Home, Country, Household

Your Fourth House of family, household, ancestors, hometown, homeland – is ruled by Pisces. You have had Neptune here since 2011 so there have been no boundaries with relatives, but also no boundaries with your house, apartment, garden and so on. Everything has been all over the place, everywhere, all the time. Sometimes it’s an escape you come to rely on, and yet it has often left you feeling all at sea. That changes in March, when Saturn joins Neptune in Pisces. You’ve not experienced it before and may benefit from reading about both transits, then joining them together. Neptune in the Fourth House, Saturn in the Fourth House.

It will likely be structural or administrative; your home may be handled differently as new council regulations come in. A family member may want to organise things differently. What contributes to a loss of boundaries at home, with family members, is sometimes the existence of drugs or alcohol. Fuzzy thinking. That might be challenged now. I could give you oodles of examples, but if you work with the idea that Neptune is the sea and Saturn is walls, you get sea walls. What (or whom) was uncontrolled and uncontained for years, is now about to be reined in. You are going to need new rules for living and belonging. Some Sagittarians have been living with Neptune at home. Confused and confusing people who smoke dope are a classic example. They’ll go in March, or the situation will be restricted. Some readers have reported regular flooding of the local river (say) or a father who lives miles away but seems ‘there’ all the time. There are really no value judgements to be made about Neptune; suffice to say, are you all at sea? If so, welcome the walls.

Capricorn

Money, Property, Valuables, Business, Charity

You can be wealthy or quite broke on this cycle and still feel shut out, or shut in. Capricorn, the cycle I am talking about is Saturn in Aquarius. It ends on March 7th. This is a relief and a release for you. Perhaps you know it’s coming. Feeling shut in, can mean being bound to particular conditions, because you are beholden to someone financially, or because of the house, apartment, business and so on. Feeling shut out, may mean being shut out of (say) buying your first home. Overpriced apartments mean you are unable to get on the ladder. You can also feel shut out of situations because your husband has the lion’s share of wealth.

Even shopping, or borrowing items, or donating your time to charity has been under the cosh on this cycle. Saturn is your ruler. He is a symbol of ‘the ties that bind’ and for whatever reason, in 2021, 2022 and early 2023 everything was really tightly bound up in your world, with restrictions aplenty. That stops on March 7th, as I’ve said.

The big change comes a couple of weeks later, from March 23rd. Pluto enters Aquarius, and you are about to discover, over the next 20 years, why business, houses, apartments, heirlooms, inheritance, charity and so on, is a channel for power. Why it manifests as control. It goes without saying that you’d enter into decisions very, very carefully and slowly, Capricorn. A classic example would be shacking up with a new girlfriend who owns her home, and you have nothing. Another very common example of Pluto in the Second House is a tenant who gets cheap rent from you, because he is a friend. I’m thinking of various questions over the years from people who had this cycle before you. Power plays when there is a great deal of money involved are not unusual. Really vet who you sign up with, please. That’s a given for years into the future.

Handling the house, money, business, charity or apartment with great care and the best professional advice you can afford is very wise. Don’t lend someone money, even if they are related to you, without checking. Over the next few years you may end up in quite a powerful position. Top dog. Handle with kid gloves, Capricorn, as this is a lesson about not abusing that power. Not that you would, but it needs to be said.

Pluto can and will empower you financially, but you will need to use your own willpower to deal with the transit. You may end up rich – it happens. Right from the get-go, Capricorn, you’ll realise that ‘This is going to take self-control’ and that may be evident as soon as the final week of March. Keep yourself on a tight leash and you will be amazed at how much is possible later. You get a taste of this by June at the very latest.

Media, Internet, Publishing, Education

The Third House of your chart rules your way with words, ideas and images. It’s VOGUE but also the BBC. It’s the website you use to spruik your small business, as well as the teaching contract you have on Zoom. Public speaking is part of it, but so is podcasting. Having been in a bubble since 2011, the bubble is now, no longer, the escape it was. They used to say ‘surfing the net’ back in the old days, and the idea of surfing is relevant to you. You have been riding web waves for years, losing track of time, and generally having a Neptune Third House transit. You may have been drawn to escapist fiction, or audiobooks, or poetry.

This ends when Saturn arrives. For all those newspapers, television, radio, the worldwide web, books, school, university, college has been a way out – it no longer is. It’s a way out, but with rules. There will be new restrictions and limitations from March 2023, and they last until early 2026. From this will come some amazing projects if you devote yourself. The Third House lends itself to linguistics and scriptwriting, but also oratory and lyric writing. That combination of Neptune (alternatives to reality) and Saturn (heavy reality checks) will show up. If your telephone or internet is continually open to (insert word here) that will stop in March. Leaks stop. Neptune is very much about leaks, as he is about gas lighting. If this has been your story since 2011, it ends or is severely curtailed by Saturn.

Siblings and cousins are also ruled by this transit. There will be new barricades, walls and barriers with your sister and/or brother in March, and perhaps cousins too. Everything has been everywhere, all over the place, for years. That does not continue. As the English Channel faces stern sea walls which push her back, so too will you be accepting walls or perhaps constructing them.

It’s the same with your car, public transport, Shanks’ Pony, yacht and other ways of commuting or travelling locally. It’s all been quite random since 2011, as Neptune dissolves boundaries. March alters the pattern. It’s rather like the difference between the ocean and an aquarium. There will be four glass walls, so to speak. If you were done for drunk driving, or have been done again, that’s a classic Neptune outcome in the Third House. March will put a stop to it. Saturn is restriction; Neptune is zero restrictions. The idea of rambling, wandering or ‘footloose’ is really close to Neptune in Pisces in your Third House. Jack Kerouac is about to meet a rule book, but it’s not always a bad thing.

Aquarius

Reputation, Appearance, Title

Whatever happens near March 7th is a relief and release, as Saturn leaves your sector of reputation, appearance and title. You have been stuck with a situation in 2021, 2022 (2022 was worse) and early 2023 which has made it very difficult to find any wriggle room. You may have found yourself hauled over the coals online, for something you did (very) wrong. Perhaps you have been stuck with being overweight. I’ve had a ton of questions about image issues from Aquarians over the last couple of years and sometimes, you’ve just been dealing with other people boxing you in, with their interpretation of you. As I said, it ends on March 7th. There may have been legal reasons why you don’t own your likeness, say, or it may have been Facebook that gave you trouble.

Double the message about relief and release if you have factors in Aries. If so, you will be given a terrific opportunity to relaunch by May 2023. New you from the old you.

This is an historic month for relaunching and no matter how old you are, or how many gigs you have taken on board, there is every chance you will acquire a new role, title and business card in the next few years. Pluto is with you until 2044 so you’re not exactly pushed for time. There may be qualifications, letters after your name, or some other reframing of your name. You may change your name. That can happen too.

Your appearance is powerful. It could be potent. It could be everything. That is some very ‘new’ news to digest in March 2023. This is all going to take time, but if you’ve not clocked that a frock is armour, designed to slay, it will sink in at some point. And acquiring a title, or titles plural? More power. All this is further up the road, but you will see early signs in late March. Just be aware that any really big decisions would benefit from a publicist or PR specialist who comes highly recommended. It’s the same with your weight or shape. It’s a smart idea to look at experts; same with cosmetic surgery; to go the pros, don’t just assume.

Money, Business, Charity, Houses, Apartments, Valuables

Having floated in a bubble for years (since 2011) you now need to come down to earth, Aquarius. Neptune in Pisces is with you until 2026, but Saturn in Pisces is here until then too, moving in on March 7th. This is all very new, so get good advice if you are signing or accepting signatures. We’d expect your bank account, company, good cause, house, land, apartment, collectables to be on the line. New restrictions are coming in. This may be setting aside money to pay tax if you’ve never done it. This may be a particular responsibility with a family trust fund or a will. The sign which had this transit before you was Capricorn and going back over thousands of reader questions in 2020-2023, I find oodles of learning experiences. You do have your L plate on now. Get it in writing and read the fine print if a friend or lover is involved. If family is involved. This is a really common outcome with Neptune, as there are fuzzy boundaries, or no boundaries, or nothing is ever said outright. It should be on this cycle. Go to it.

You can still have the escape from reality; the holiday from the normal; the alternative universe. Yet, for the first time ever, you must now accept that you will be shut into a situation or denied access to a situation. Be you in or out, you need a new approach.

Pisces

God, Tarot, Counselling, Hypnosis, Dreams, Science

You begin a cycle which will transform you on the inside, in the final week of March. It runs until 2044 and will empower you through religion, psychic ability, clairvoyants, self-help, therapy, hypnotism (self or hired), dream coaching and interpretation, and science. The quantum physics aspects of science fit nicely. Not so much bog-standard science. This cycle has been building for years. It began with a really tough period in 2021 and 2022 (and early 2023) when all you had was walls. You could not get in or could not get out, Pisces. This is rather like handing over your credit card to a cult masquerading as some happy-clappy suburban church and then realising they have you by the short and curlies. It can also be the sort of therapist who is seriously hard work. I’ve had a few Sun Pisces people in 2021, 2022 presenting with Twelfth House issues.

Aquarius rules the Twelfth House of your solar chart, but in your natal chart, your Sun is also in the Twelfth House, and it is there that you have so frequently been all at sea. The Twelfth House is invisible, interior and as much about Father Brown hearing confession, as it is about crystal healing. Sceptics have to accept quantum uncertainty and leave it at that. Believers have angels in their midst. What you have been through has walled you in, so you can’t get out, or kept you on the outside of the walls, so you don’t have access. When it ends on March 7th, there is a long pause, and it is replaced (in the final week) by the most powerful new people, organisations or situations. Real power is presented to you. It may even arrive in an odd moment, as Pluto actually makes the ingress on the 23rd. Sometimes a snapshot in time, as this cycle begins, makes sense years later.

Whatever you get into, or further into, or whomever you let into your world, the final week of March should be taken slowly and carefully. Hypnotists can be powerful. They can dominate. They can change you. So can therapists, natch, or Buddhist monks. Real power and control issues come in soon. Handle with care; this is invisible to other people, save for perhaps a confidante, so objective opinions are missing. Whatever you are doing with your God, or aspects of what used to be called The New Age, handle with care. For all that the rubber bands snapping off on March 7th is a good thing, you have serious decisions to make later.

Title, Appearance, Reputation

Saturn in Pisces for the first time in 29 years is unusual in March. He joins Neptune, also in Pisces. All this is about how you are publicly seen and presented. Since 2011 the usual sea mist of any Neptune transit has descended on the mirror – and the mirror of the web. Neptune is a symbol of distortion in astrology and rather like swimming under water, your gaze of yourself and the gaze of others, upon you, has been nicely distorted in 2011-2023. This does not stop in March, but it changes. By now you have probably given up on ever typing your name into Google because of the unformed, chaotic, shapeless nature of what (or who) represents you.

For all that your name, face, shape, style, reputation, profile has become an escape for you (a second name or a fake identity on Twitter) you have also found the usual Neptune confusion into the bargain. Do you have Aries factors? Image becomes even more important, as life until May 2023 is a relaunch for you, and a good one too.

The First House is about your armour, what they say about you before you arrive – and the name you give yourself. It’s about your accessories and your aura. Saturn coming into this sector of your chart is about new restrictions, new limits, new rules. New circumstances which are heavily ring-fenced, Pisces. For all that Neptune is about vast oceanic realms, Saturn is about heavy bands of steel. It’s not narcissism to think about yourself from March 7th; you basically have to.
