The Aries Weather
For some years, now, you have been trying to get away with the so-called impossible, outrageous or unthinkable, with your public face; image; profile; wardrobe and so on. Well, that now goes up a notch, Aries. You are about to have a reputation or appearance makeover or find different ways of promoting yourself.
Chiron is joined by Jupiter this month. Jupiter’s ingress is in Aries on May 10th, 2022. Mars’ ingress in Aries is on May 24th. Venus enters Aries on May 3rd and remains there until May 28th. These are the dates to watch.
The Jupiter-Pluto Sextile
On May 3rd, an unusual pattern in Capricorn, which rules your career, unfolds. Expect reshuffles or changes in the balance of power in your immediate work sphere, or your field. This also applies to your academic career or unpaid work. Pluto always redistributes the control.
Finance and Property
Aries, you may want to avoid Monday the 16th of May for decisions about finance, business, charity, property, valuables.
Why? The Sun in Taurus is involved in a Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. You’ll have a blind spot, or there may even be a cover-up. To let the world catch up with itself, avoid Sunday 15th and Tuesday 27th May too, for choices about your bank, say, or cryptocurrency, shares or shopping.
Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio. Yes, I know. It’s an easy date to remember!
What was going on 18 or 19 years ago with a house, apartment, bank matter and so on? Aries, karma returns then. You are owed, or you owe.
Retrogrades in Taurus
We also need to talk about these retrogrades in Taurus. This is doubly important if you have anything in Taurus in your natal chart, Aries.
Expect rescheduling, delays or backward turns with the paperwork, your computer or discussions with from Mercury backtracking in Taurus on May 22nd. The entry of Venus in Taurus on May 28th suggests it becomes about deal-making in the most personal way. As with all these things, get it in writing and have Plan B and C please.
The Financial Loop
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus, in your solar and natal Second House of personal income, assets, and so on, began on April 27th and the loop resumes on May 24th, so hopefully you read my big Mercury Retrograde caution dates here, which I posted two years ago, and have avoided really big choices.
Even if you have walked right into this, Mercury Retrograde in Taurus ends with the final loop on June 13th, so you’ll have plenty of time for retracing your steps, rewriting agreements, retracting promises and all the other ‘re’ words that come with this notorious cycle. If you are active on the share markets expect flux from May 24th until June 13th. Of course, you may gain from the chaos, Aries, but you have to know what you are doing.
Thursday, May 5th and the days either side is likely to be an unpredictable period for you, financially, with the Sun in conjunction with Uranus, the planet of upheaval. So, this month really does require a bit of fancy footwork from you.
House or Apartment Matters
If the issue is your house, apartment or land priorities, then I have some more dates. We need to talk about Ceres, which can bring deal-making with family members, but also the sort of personal intensity or emotion you would expect (with family or partnerships) applied to people you deal with on a purely business level. Tenants or landladies, for example.
Aries, try to keep the feelings moderated as you’re going to have to come up with a new arrangement and it will be easier if it’s not complicated by strong emotion. As Ceres enters Cancer and your natal Fourth House on May 16th, it looks like a compromise or carve-up with your house, apartment, town or country is on the way by July 23rd.
Travel, Internet, Transport
Ceres, that great symbol of forced compromises, is in your sector of travel, internet and transport just before this shift to property focus for you, Aries. And she’s not the only player here, so you are going to have a complex time with short journeys, the worldwide web, the media, commuting and all the Gemini-ruled matters of life. You can double that message if you also have Gemini natal factors.
Gemini Weather
Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th. Mercury is Shadow Retrograde all month having started the loop on 30th April. Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. Mercury disappears from Gemini on May 24th. We then have the New Moon in Gemini on 30th May. The replay takes place from June 14th to 19th.
You will do far better in May if you have Plan B and C for any short trips and expect a higher risk of cancellation, delay or rescheduling. Of course, we are in a pandemic!
The Web and Media
The other focus of Gemini weather is the web, as discussed, and the media. Technical issues, product recall, refunds on phones or computers and so on, are more likely in May. I’m more concerned about May for (say) an electric car purchase for you, or a domestic flight (if you are even travelling) than usual. Why? Mars Retrograde in Gemini goes over the same ground from September 4th until March 17th next year.
Be sharply aware of the terms and conditions on all Third House and Gemini matters in May, Aries. This may be your bicycle, caravan – perhaps – or your train season pass. Equally, an Internet Service Provider or an online newspaper subscription. If you are an Aries in the media then have a back-up plan, more than you usually might.
May is Rehearsal Month
May is very good for rehearsal, beta-testing and trials. Use it for rough outlines and tentative sketches on paper, rather than launches or big new beginnings, as we honestly don’t see Mercury Retrograde in Gemini, followed by Mars Retrograde in Gemini, all that often. And Mars is your ruler!
To be on the safe side with really big moves involving transport, short journeys, the web, the media – you would wait until Mercury had finished the Gemini loop on Sunday the 19th of June then take a deep breath and go in. Yet, you’d still want to read the terms and conditions closely because you will hit delays or obstacles after September and into early 2023, as I’ve said.

Well, you have an opportunity or solution involving friends and groups, which is both rare and useful, Taurus, near May 3rd, 2022.
Life moves swiftly after that, until the 24th of May, and if you are eyeing dates, there will be a pay-off between October 29th and December 20th, when Jupiter is back in this sector of your chart. These groups (or this group, singular) in your life, tends towards people power. A diverse collection or mixed bunch of faces, all sharing the space and sharing the power.
If you have anything in Aquarius in your natal chart, Taurus, then you can double that message. For whatever reason, 2022 (until March 2023) is a period when circles of people, with friends and acquaintances within, are a serious part of life.
Image, Profile, Title, Reputation
This month probably coincides with your birthday or Solar Return (if you were born in May; otherwise it’s just passed). All eyes on you! Yet, there is a more important reason for your image, self-promotion, face, name, title, profile being central this month.
Taurus, you may want to avoid Monday, May 16th for decisions about your public face and identity. Why? The Sun in Taurus is involved in a Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. You’ll have a blind spot, or there may even be a cover-up.
To let the world catch up with itself, avoid Sunday the 15th and Tuesday the 17th of May too. Eclipses conceal and obscure. They do what you would expect. There is also another date to watch, Scorpio.
Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio. That should be an easy date to remember. Life as it was for you 18 or 19 years ago will come back then. There is karma due to you, or you must settle up – again, this is about your reputation, title, identity, appearance, profile.
Taurus, if you have anything in Aries in your natal chart, then double that message. This is a relaunch for you, and it will work very well for you. You may change your look (glasses, wardrobe, weight, cosmetic surgery) after Jupiter changes signs on May 11th, or your role or title may alter. That can happen too. Just box clever around those dates I mentioned; otherwise your luck is in. A new you will be born by the time Jupiter is out of Aries, for the first time, on October 29th this year.
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus, in your First House of self-promotion and image, will give you an obstacle course in May. It began on April 27th and the loop resumes on May 24th, so hopefully you read my big Mercury Retrograde caution dates here, which I posted two years ago, and have avoided April 27th to May 24th for any major plans involving advertising (for example) or printed matter bearing your name. Websites, too, of course.
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus ends with the final loop on June 13th, but treat this entire period as a rehearsal in terms of your final relaunch for 2022 and have Plan B and C.
Thursday, May 5th and the days either side is likely to be an unpredictable period for you, with the Sun in conjunction with Uranus, the planet of upheaval. This wouldn’t be the first time you have left jaws on the floor, in terms of how you promote yourself, but you are just as likely to be shocked into changing – for whatever reason, Taurus.
Financial Fancy Footwork
Well, you have a carve-up going on with your shares, business interests, income, house, apartment, valuables and/or charity, as you know. It began after Ceres changed signs on February 10th and went into Gemini, which rules your bank account. Compromise after compromise has been made, Taurus and it goes on.
Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th. Mercury is Shadow Retrograde all month having started the loop on 30th April. That is terribly important too, especially if you entered into new agreements about property, income, insurance and the like. Expect rescheduling, cancellation or delay.
Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. Mercury disappears from Gemini on 24th May. That is really important for your bank account, Taurus, as whatever was under discussion or on paper also vanishes for a time!
We then have the New Moon in Gemini on the 30th if May. Don’t be fooled. It feels like a new beginning for your budget, but it’s a new beginning which is still not sorted out. It’s still not final.
The replay with some of the numbers or discussions, Taurus, takes place from June 14th to 19th. It’s a topsy-turvy month for money.
You can double that message if your natal chart reveals factors in Taurus (apart from your Sun) and/or in Scorpio. If so, avoid that eclipse on 16th May at all costs, because you may have the wool pulled, or just find you are distracted by a ‘main event’ while the real story is happening out of your field of vision, or without your awareness.
This is actually quite important, Taurus, because if you do have Second House/Eighth House placements in Taurus and/or Scorpio, life as it was 18 or 19 years ago is playing a part in what unfolds. As I said, you’ll be repaid, if you are owed – or have to settle up, karmically, if you owe others.

Opportunities and Solutions
Special opportunities or solutions emerge for your career, academic career or unpaid work are due for you, near Tuesday, May 3rd, Gemini.
Life moves swiftly until the 24th of May and if you are eyeing dates, there will be a pay-off again, with your job situation, volunteer role or studies – between October 29th and December 20th.
The skies near Tuesday, May 3rd suggest a way through, out or up – on a sweeping scale – as Pluto forms a sextile with Jupiter in your chart. This is shown in both your natal and solar chart, which is very unusual, Gemini. I quite like this transit for you because it shows two bites at the cherry.
Watch for job opportunities, scholarships, terrific new contacts and so on. You only get Jupiter in Pisces once every 12 years so use it or lose it. You also have Neptune in Pisces, so there is a bubble to bounce around in, where you are nicely insulated against the real world. You have bounced around inside this bubble for such a long time you are probably not aware of it, but it’s still there.
What happens near Tuesday, May 3rd is a domino effect from reshuffles, departures, mergers, appointments and even demotions or sideways moves – at the top. This means the top of politics and business, worldwide, and it all results in a new domino game for you, as pieces are moved around on the board. Gemini, if you have anything in Capricorn in your natal chart, double that message.

Let’s talk about careful money, business, charity or property management in May. The Sun in Taurus is involved in a Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. You’ll have a blind spot, or there may even be a cover-up. To let the world catch up with itself, avoid Sunday the 15th and Tuesday the 17th of May too.
Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio. Gemini, life as it was 18 or 19 years ago has a part to play then. It’s karma.
Taurus and Scorpio are the finance signs, and in your natal chart, it is very likely that you have factors in one or both signs. Certainly, family members or partners may – and that’s half the story. Given that you also have transits in Capricorn, in your solar Eighth House of joint finances – and they are powerful in the first week – this looks like the same story told twice. You have some big decisions to make. As Ceres enters Cancer and your solar Second House of money on May 16th, it looks like a compromise or carve-up is on the way by July 23rd, Gemini.
Again, the same story is told in your natal chart. If you have anything in Cancer, then the house, land or apartment will be central to a massive compromise and new deal or arrangement, starting from 16th May and final by July 23rd. Just remember, if you have anything in Taurus and/or Scorpio also in your birth chart, allow for Mercury Retrograde rescheduling, rethinking and renegotiation from May 24th. It’s complicated!
Religion, Therapy, Psychics
Another case of ‘the same story told twice’ is showing up in your Twelfth House, which rules your God. It also rules counselling, the Tarot, psychology and psychics. It usually involves your religious belief on some level (or your disbelief).
What to watch? A total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, opposite the Sun in Taurus, on May 16th. A backward turn again from Mercury in Taurus on May 22nd. The entry of Venus in Taurus on May 28th. This is a tale of twists and turns with your very soul, Gemini. Conversations With God? Maybe. You certainly need time alone.
This is a therapeutic year for you. Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces in the Twelfth House of your natal chart are encouraging you to take opportunities and solutions (for your inner life) as late as May 10th. Happily, they resume on October 29th.
What is unusual about May is the endless rescheduling, complication and altered plans involving the same. It may be your first appointment with a psychiatrist or your acceptance into the Catholic faith. It’s on that level. Mercury backtracks until June 13th, and he is your ruler, so it’s personal. Make allowances for zig-zag progress and there may even be a cancellation.
Image, Title, Profile, Reputation
Ever since Ceres moved into Gemini on February 10th you have been involved in a long, drawn-out compromise over your reputation, title, image, appearance, profile and public identity. It may have been Facebook. It may have been far more serious, Gemini. Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th. That is when the deal is done. The ‘me’ deal if you like.
Mercury is Shadow Retrograde all month having started the loop on April 30th . Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. Mercury disappears from Gemini on the 24th of May. We then have the New Moon in Gemini on May 30th. The replay takes place from June 14th to 19th. Those dates are worth noting, because you will find the situation goes backwards and forwards in May and June, as you approach your birthday.
Mercury rules the internet and media, as well as all printed matter, from magazines to books. Retrograde or backwards, that goes backwards too. There may be cancellations, refunds and so on, if it’s a matter involving your public image. Have Plan B and C and call May a dress rehearsal, Gemini. It’s not a good time to launch or begin; my eyes are on another retrograde later this year, from September.
This is really only about your public face or exterior, but it does affect things. If you have anything in Aries in your natal chart, Gemini, then double that message. In that case, however, all the rescheduling and delay, even the cancellation, about yourself – works in your favour. If you are blessed with anything in Aries in your First House, in your natal chart, then you will be handed one solution or opportunity after another in 2022 and 2023, and this period looks like a slow, hesitant but ultimately successful relaunch to me. Just read the fine print and be aware of all the details.
Friends and Groups
Your luck is in, with friends and groups, from May 11th, when Jupiter changes signs to Aries. Jupiter is a tremendous help in astrology. There are always sweeping answers and win-win outcomes on this transit. You’ll see them rapidly when Mars also changes signs to Aries from May 25th and the sheer pace of events will take your breath away by 5th July. You can double that message if you also have Aquarius factors in your natal chart.
Do You Have Aquarius Factors?
If so, you are now in the final leg of the most difficult cycle for social media, friendships, bands, political parties, groups and your social life in 29 years. It ends on March 8th, 2023, so you are about 12 months off, but have already got through 2021, dealing with Saturn and all the barriers and walls that come with him.

Cancer, you are ruled by the Moon, so we pay more attention to lunar patterns with you, than the other 11 signs of the zodiac. It’s very likely that in your natal chart you have factors in Taurus and/or Scorpio, so the forthcoming eclipse in those signs will leave you in the dark about your finances for a day or two. As I said, the fact that all this is taking place in the wider world, and you are also experiencing Saturn in Aquarius (until March 2023) suggests to me that the larger lessons everyone is experiencing in relation to taxation, income, property and so on – have a personal narrative for you. Intensely personal.
Friends and Groups
There is also a local, national or even a global learning experience involving friendships and groups of all kinds – from clubs and teams, to charities, political parties and bands. Once again, you are drawn into it. Your micro story is part of the macro story, with serious Saturn in the sign of brotherhood and sisterhood – Aquarius.
In your solar chart, this is an area ruled by Taurus, and therefore the patterns of May 2022 are complicated; delayed; obstructed; rewritten in June.
To avoid being hoodwinked or led astray, use astrology. (Allow a day either side). Avoid the total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, opposite the Sun in Taurus, on May 16th.
We have a backward turn again from Mercury in Taurus on May 22nd. What was ‘agreed’ or in writing, or online, with friends and groups will reverse, stall or even be scrapped, Cancer. This goes all the way back to April 2022, and the final outcome will not be settled until June 13th.
The entry of Venus in Taurus on May 28th suggests that friendships and groups of all sorts, are far more intensely personal from that point. If you are single, seduction may be part of the story, at least until June 23rd. If you are an adulterer (Venus was unfaithful) we could say the same thing.
All in all, friendships and groups are a local, national, global lesson to be learned in May. To avoid having that lesson played out too heavily in your own life, Cancer, just watch those dates I’ve mentioned.

In fact, the final fortnight of May, well into August, suggests a relaunch and rebirth for you. Ceres can bring a lot of emotion and high feeling. Try to sidestep that if you can, Cancer, because it will make the relaunch process easier.
The Twelfth House
You also have long transits in your Twelfth House, which rules your psychic, psychologist or psychiatrist. It also rules your religious faith. On a more esoteric level the Twelfth House can rule dream interpretation, the I-Ching or the Tarot. It certainly rules hypnosis and astral travel. Whatever or whomever is invisible but utterly central to you, is what May is about.
This is a going concern in 2022 and also 2023, partly because you keep going backwards and forwards with it, for such a long time.
Ceres, with all the compromises you have made, and all the deals you have been making with God (to quote Kate Bush) remains in Gemini until May 15th. By that date you will have figured out some kind of new arrangement – with yourself!
Despite this, things take ages to come together. Mercury is Shadow Retrograde all month having started the loop on the 30th of April.
Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. Mercury disappears from Gemini on 24th May which is when the new arrangement with your own soul or psyche, also disappears.
We then have the New Moon in Gemini on 30th May. That is not a new beginning; it is an attempt at one – you still have a lot to sort out, Cancer. The replay of that long, long discussion with your own soul or psyche takes place from June 14th to 19th.
Cancer, this is a going concern all year, because Mars Retrograde goes over the same ground, from September 4th, 2022, until March 17th, 2023.

Ceres in Cancer – Friends and Groups
As Ceres enters Cancer and your natal Eleventh House on the 16th of May, Virgo, it looks like a compromise or carve-up with these people is on the way by July 23rd, at the very latest. This looks like a new deal, or new arrangement. It may be your band, political party, good cause, book club, squash team and so on. Try to leave emotions out of it if you can. The deal will be smoother without them. You are all/both going to have to back down, give way, and consciously try to co-create a different sort of balance, in terms of power or control.

You are owed, Virgo, or you owe and it will be repaid. What else to watch? A total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, on May 16th.
Avoid the 15th, 16th, 17th of May for major plans (allowing world time zones to catch up with each other) as eclipses can blindside you. You can be so distracted that you don’t see the real story. The Third House is about Tesla cars, but also short journeys of all kinds, particularly within your own country. If you are even travelling in a pandemic, be really cautious about the eclipse.
Siblings and Cousins
That total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, opposite the Sun in Taurus, on May 16th is also going to blindside you about your cousin, brother or sister. An eclipse is like driving with broken headlights on a dark road. You can go way, way off track because of what you do not know, are not shown, or fail to see.
I would normally go on about an eclipse like this, but in your natal chart, you have a few cycles in your Third House (ruling cousins and siblings too). If you have anything in Gemini in your natal chart, be really careful with May 2022, and June as well. What is said, put online, or on paper, will reverse later on, or get stuck. It may even contribute to a really complicated situation with your sibling or cousin from September 4th, 2022, until March 17th, 2023. Astrology is about consciously minimising future issues – before they become future issues!
Do You Have Gemini Factors?
If so, Virgo, May 2022 is a double whammy. Ceres, the planet of compromise and deal-making, remains in Gemini until May 15th. This has been a long period of bargaining for you, with travel, transport and internet – perhaps media – which began way back on February 10th.
Have Plan B and C, Virgo, and allow for anything from hackers to telephone issues. Certainly, in a pandemic (if you are even flying at all) you should be aware of the risk of strikes or airline collapse. More likely, cancellation.
Mercury is Shadow Retrograde in Gemini all month having started the loop on 30th April. Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. That is when your best-laid plans may really start to become tangled. Don’t over-egg the pudding, Virgo. Don’t try to fix too much, as your fixing may also become unfixed. These are standard Mercury Retrograde rules.
Mercury disappears from Gemini on the 24th of May. That is when your plan may also disappear. We then have the New Moon in Gemini on 30th May. It’s not a new beginning; it’s an attempt at one! The rewind, relaunch, reschedule or replay takes place from June 14th to 19th.
Money and Property
Money and property, charity and business, valuables and assets, all start to produce rare solutions and terrific opportunities, after May 11th, when Jupiter changes signs. This is an odd month, when even financial delay, rescheduling or cancellation can help you with a big answer, or a welcome leg up.
The world and his wife will be dealing with chaos on the share markets, fluctuating prices with cryptocurrency, stalled sanctions or trade deals – from May 24th. This benefits you, either because Jupiter has a safety net for you, or you are actually able to capitalise on the muddle.
Jupiter in Aries is in the Eighth House of your solar chart, at the same time that the South Node in Scorpio is in your natal Eighth House. This suggests to me that this matter will be about your wife, husband, former spouse, serious sexual partner, distant relative or immediate family. As I said, it’s hard to go wrong with Jupiter, but you may want to skip the eclipse on May 16th and be sharply aware of all the rescheduling or rewriting that will lie ahead from May 24th.
Career Flux
Ever since Ceres moved into Gemini back on 10th February, you have been involved in one compromise after another, with your career; unpaid work; academic career. The redistribution of power and control will continue for a while yet.
Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th. At that point at least one deal will be done – people will have agreed to differ or split the difference. Much as I’d love to tell you that’s the end of it, you are up for some mess and muddle in May and June.

Mercury rules you. When retrograde, the prefix ‘re’ applies to just about everything. The final replay takes place from June 14th to 19th.
Ambition, Position and Mission
Do you have anything in Capricorn in your natal chart, Virgo? If so, May 2022 will see a change in the system, either with your immediate job, academic career or unpaid work – or with your chosen field. People will step up, step down, leave or move sideways. It’s a shemozzle, with everything assumed since April 30th either thrown out, or changed, by the 19th of June.
Yet, if you do have Capricorn factors, this is also terribly important for your long-term ambitions, as Pluto (changes in power) will be with you until March 2023, then again from June 2023 until January 2024, and again from September to November 2024. After that, no more big reshuffling. Not in a C.V. changing way anyway.

May 2022 Priorities
The Scorpio-Taurus weather in May 2022 makes your finances, house, shares, business, apartment, valuables or charity the number one priority.
Avoid the eclipse on 16th of May and allow a day either side for different time zones to catch up. An eclipse conceals. It blindsides you or pulls the wool. I’m a little concerned about Mercury Retrograde in Taurus, too, the sign which rules joint finances in your life. May is good for a rehearsal; for testing the water; for wait-and-see. It’s good for rough sketches on paper, and the like. As a month for ‘firm and final’ commitments, forget it. They will either change and change again, by June 13th, or come to nothing. All of that can be a concern if (say) you need something watertight.

You have Pluto in Capricorn in your solar Fourth House in a powerful, game-changing aspect near 3rd May. In your natal chart we find Ceres entering Cancer and your Fourth House on 16th May. This is firmly about a change in the balance of power, a shift in the controls, Libra.
It may involve in-laws, parents and/or children. Ceres is going to bring a new deal or compromise your way by July 23rd. It’s best to leave strong emotions out of it if you possibly can. You can double that message if a house, apartment or property question is involved.
This seems to be part of the story with the transit of the South Node (karma) in Scorpio (finance) in your natal Eighth House, where you sort out partnership or family agreements. Going back 18 or 19 years will show you a lot about the present.
The South Node in Scorpio is in your solar Second House of personal income and budgeting, so it’s the same story told from two different angles. You are famously good at seeing both sides, Libra, and that inherent fairness will help you sort something out that works.
Libra, you may want to avoid Monday the 16th of May for decisions about that, or family members/household members. The Sun in Taurus is involved in a Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. You’ll have a blind spot, or there may even be a cover-up. To let the world catch up with itself, avoid Sunday the 15th and Tuesday the 17th of May too.
Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio.
As I said, what was going on 18 or 19 years ago with your finances, house, apartment, family, household (maybe even your town or country) comes back then. It is karma. You are owed, or you owe. Tricky, tricky May weather involves a backward turn again from Mercury in Taurus on May 22nd. The entry of your ruler Venus in Taurus on May 28th. The whole month is about a replay or rewind of what was supposedly final in April. From May 28th it becomes intensely personal – at this point your love life may become mixed up with your money in a more obvious way.
Yet it won’t be until June 14th that you can really roll your sleeves up and sign or accept signatures. If you wanted to skip the entire Mercury Retrograde malarkey, you would begin the finalities, after June 14th.
Rescheduling and Cancellation
Libra, hopefully you read my big Mercury Retrograde caution dates, which I posted two years ago here, and have avoided paperwork, signatures and so on.
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus ends with the final loop on June 13th, but if you do have Taurus and/or Scorpio factors in your chart, treat this entire period as a rehearsal and have Plan B and C. Thursday, May 5th and the days either side is likely to be an unpredictable period for you, with the Sun in conjunction with Uranus, the planet of upheaval. Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio. May is terrific for dress rehearsals, tests and trials, second and third drafts – financially. You are obviously proceeding towards some kind of huge compromise and new start with the house, property investment or apartment by July. Yet, Mercury Retrograde is notorious for sending you back to the drawing board, so if you want to avoid that, you won’t commit in May 2022.

Welcome to May 2022
Financial rescheduling, property rethinking, business retracted plans and a general ‘rehearsal’ feeling comes with the territory in May 2022. Box clever and have Plan B and C, Scorpio. This is shown in your natal and solar chart together. You may want to wait until/postpone until June 20th, when you are over the last loop of Mercury, the planet of paperwork and digital agreements.
You have been involved in lot of wrangling over the house, apartment, money, business, charity or valuables since February 10th, and it ends on May 15th. At least – in terms of the emotional turf. May will be a life lived backwards, in terms of your banking or budget.

We then have the utterly misleading New Moon in Gemini on 30th May as this is not a new beginning for your finances at all – it’s another attempt to finalise what is not yet final. The replay takes place from June 14th to 19th. Then, and only then, do you really get the end game, Scorpio.
I’m chiefly thinking about another long backward period here, from September 4th, 2022, to March 17th, 2023, and you don’t really want to walk backwards and get stuck in May, June, then do it again later. That is when it could become divisive, as Mars Retrograde takes over. So really watch what you are doing in May.
This action in Gemini in your solar Eighth House takes place at the same time that you have a fair bit of action in your natal Eighth House. You shine at your brilliant best, Scorpio, when you are performing to rave reviews with your handling of joint finances or property. Yet you have to work at it, sometimes, and May is all about that. Get the best advice you can afford if you need it. Get it all in writing, read the fine print and have Plan B/C.

You need to understand the rescheduling, delay or even the cancellation risk on Mercury Retrograde in Taurus, in your natal Second House of personal income, assets, and so on. In your solar chart, Scorpio, we find Mercury Retrograde in Gemini in your Eighth House, so it happens publicly and privately!
This all began on April 27th and the financial, charity, business or property loop resumes on May 24th, so hopefully you read my big Mercury Retrograde caution dates, which I posted two years ago here, and have avoided purchase or sale paperwork, signatures on share or property contracts and so on.
I’m more concerned than I usually would be because you also have this long backward pull from September 4th until March 17th, from Mars, again in your solar Eighth House of joint finance, so there’s yet another period of back-pedalling. Really read the fine print on anything signed, Scorpio, because the chance of cancellation, delay or rescheduling is extremely high in May, June and September-March.

This shows up in your natal and solar chart, too. May is a tremendous month of change with your ideas about holidays, vacations, business travel and commuting. In fact, it’s been going on since February 10th, when the entire world started doing deals, making compromises and dealing with reshuffles. It’s all filtered down to you, no matter if the issue has been Tesla or the airlines in a pandemic.
Do you have factors in Gemini in your natal chart? Then it is personal, Scorpio. It’s game-changing stuff, and it doesn’t matter if we are talking about the internet (Zoom), the local roads, or the airport.
Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th so the compromising over getting around town, or moving around the region, continues until then. You also have complications, delays and flux!
Mercury is Shadow Retrograde all month having started the loop on 30th April. Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. Mercury disappears from Gemini on 24th May which is when a journey may vanish too. If you are even flying in a pandemic, Scorpio, you are far more vulnerable to cancellation, delay, or even the collapse of some tourism/travel business organisations, in May and June 2022. There, said it.
We then have the New Moon in Gemini on 30th May to lead you towards what appears to be a fresh start, and yet it’s just more backwards motion with transport or travel. The replay takes place from June 14th to 19th and then what is final, really is final. You’ve had this bizarre combination of a very active Pluto in Capricorn transit in your solar Third House all month, and a busy Gemini transit in your natal Third House at the same time.
This does correspond to the internet, but also to the media as well. Scorpio, if you want a simple life, you’ll fast-forward the whole thing to June 20th when Mercury has finished his loop. Otherwise, May 2022 is great for dress rehearsals, first drafts, second drafts and beta testing. Very good for research, but it will be back and forth!

May at a Glance
The financial, property, business or charity story is really important in May. In your solar chart, we find Pluto in your Second House of income and budget, empowering you to use your willpower to take back control. Your ruler Jupiter is sextile Pluto as the month begins and that will help you take charge of your own ‘me’ economy.

May and Your Finances
You are now over the halfway mark of the heaviest most burdensome financial cycle in 29 years. You can be rich and still feel weighed down. If you are struggling financially, it may feel as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, your burdens can be put down in March 2023. Until then, a bit of fancy footwork in May can save you time and trouble.
Saturn in Aquarius in your solar chart and Uranus (with the North Node) in Taurus in your natal chart, both draw your attention to your life budget.

This is crucial in May, which is a month of dress rehearsal, first and second drafts, and ever-changing diary notes. It does actually work out for you, very nicely – particularly from October to December. Yet, for all the opportunities and solutions with the web, the media, education or quick publishing, you still have to go back and forth. Dates to watch – Jupiter in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn on 3rd May. Neptune in Pisces semi-sextile Saturn on the 17th of May and again on May 31st. Mars in Pisces all month, having entered on the 16th of April and lingering until the 24th of May.
All of this takes place in your solar Third House of communication and connection, so there’s quite an important project or plan here. In your natal chart we find a lot of Gemini weather in your Third House too, so it’s the same thing again. Capricorn, if you have Gemini factors in your natal chart, then you will notice the stop-start nature of your project or course.
It’s already been a carve-up and compromise thanks to Ceres in Gemini since last February. Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th. Overview of May 2022
The financial, business, property or charity improvement in your life is not over until October-December when the last solution or opportunity appears. The opening days of May could turn the difference, as Jupiter with all his advantages turns up in an historic sextile to powerful Pluto.
Just remember that May as a whole is in flux, thanks to Mercury Retrograde. You have time on your side with Jupiter in your Second House, in your solar chart, but in your natal chart, we find some stop-start patterns also in the Second House.
Do you have anything in Taurus and/or Scorpio, Aquarius? If so, double that message. Even though 2022 as a whole is a tremendous help with your budget (money saved or made) the months of May and June are complicated.
Even though special opportunities or solutions emerge for your bank account, shares, house, apartment, business or valuables near 3rd May, with a pay-off between October 29th and December 20th, you still have to duck and dive in May.
The Eclipse in Scorpio
If you do have Scorpio factors, Aquarius, then given that the house, apartment or perhaps a property investment is usually involved in these things, you may want to avoid Monday, May 16th for decisions about that, or family members/household members.
Why? The Sun is involved in a Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio opposite the Sun in Taurus. You’ll have a blind spot, or there may even be a cover-up. To let the world catch up with itself, avoid Sunday the 15th and Tuesday the 17th of May too.
Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio.
What was going on 18 or 19 years ago? You are owed or you owe, and there will be a karmic settlement.
Specific dates for financial, property, business or charity decisions include Jupiter in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn on May 3rd. Neptune in Pisces semi-sextile Saturn on 17th May and again on 31st May. Mars in Pisces all month, having entered on the 16th of April and lingering until the 24th of May.
Success and Status
The same story is told twice in your natal and solar chart Aquarius. You have a change in the balance of power with work, unpaid work or your academic career, near the 3rd of May. There is then a blind spot or over-up near the eclipse on May 16th, to avoid.
Do You Have Taurus Factors?
If you have Taurus natal chart factors then what is publicly about a house, apartment or property investment – is privately about your life budget.
What to watch? As we’ve seen, the total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, opposite the Sun in Taurus, on May 16th. And, as a sign to get it all in writing, read the fine print and have Plan B, you’d be watching that backward turn from Mercury Retrograde in Taurus on May 22nd.
Mercury started his loop in April, and the loop resumes in late May, so hopefully you read my big Mercury Retrograde caution dates, which I posted two years ago here, as I think it’s chaos (bigger than you) on world share markets, with trade sanctions, supply shortages and whatnot, as much as anything else, which has a trickle-down effect on your own plans. As I said, you can’t go wrong with a big finish to 2022, financially, but for a simple life, you may want to treat May as a beta test or second take.
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus ends with the final loop on June 13th, but if you do have Taurus factors in your chart, treat this entire period as a rehearsal and have Plan B and C. Thursday the 5th of May and the days either side is likely to be an unpredictable period for you, with the Sun in conjunction with Uranus, the planet of upheaval.
Friday, May 13th also sees the Sun in conjunction with the True North Node in Taurus and in opposition to the True South Node in Scorpio. What was going on 18 or 19 years ago? It’s back.
As Ceres enters Cancer and your natal Fourth House on May 16th, Aquarius, it looks like a compromise or carve-up is on the way by July 23rd, with the house, land, garden, apartment and so on. Maybe your hometown or homeland, on a wider scale. You have Uranus and the North Node, along with the Sun and Mercury Retrograde, then Venus, in your solar Fourth House. That’s the same life area picked up twice, so publicly and privately, you have a lot of deal-making, giving way, adjusting and accepting to do! I think the numbers will take up a lot of your time in May, but so will the property question itself.
New Internet, Media Opportunities
Sensational new internet, media or other communication opportunities (virtual spaces, perhaps, or ‘the new Zoom’) appear in May. These help you all year, and resume in 2023. Double that message if you have anything in Gemini, Aquarius.
It may be the microphone, the telephone or the fountain pen, but there is something big here. Jupiter with all his expansive assistance and broad, sweeping brushstrokes, helps you as May gets under way, and Mars will speed things up in June. Even the pauses or mistakes will help the project.
If you do have Gemini natal chart factors, life has already been one long compromise with the web since last February and/or the media.
Ceres remains in Gemini until May 15th. Mercury is Shadow Retrograde all month having started the loop on 30th April. Mercury’s first backward turn in Gemini takes place on May 10th. I am sure you know that this brings cancellations, stop-start progress or go-slow loops. And yet, it helps you.
Mercury disappears from Gemini on the 24th of May. At that point, a key person or aspect of the plan disappears too. We then have the New Moon in Gemini on May 30th. That is not a new beginning online. It is a faux new beginning! The replay takes place from June 14th to 19th. Then at last you’ll feel you can plan finalities.

As it’s common for Sun Pisces people to have Taurus factors, do be aware of your total information blackout on the total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, opposite the Sun in Taurus, on May 16th. We also have more stop-start and possible cancellation with your paperwork, as Mercury takes a backward turn again in Taurus on May 22nd.

In your solar chart, we find Gemini weather rushing through, Pisces, so it’s a similar story. Lots of negotiation, backing down, giving way – but also lots of flux! As I said, with this terrific overall financial cycle helping you from this month forward, it’s hard to go too far wrong, but you do need to be aware of (say) unreliable auctions or messed up paperwork.
Pisces you have already been compromising like mad, over the house, garden or apartment since last February. That is a hallmark of Ceres in Gemini.

May is best used as a dress rehearsal, or beta test. Don’t be fooled by the fresh start near May 30th as it will not be until June 19th that you actually know what’s what.
