Chiron in Taurus 2026-2027
Chiron shows you what’s okay (and not okay) as he goes through his new sign of Taurus. One area of your life will reveal what can successfully be changed, even though it might be confronting for some people. Let me explain..
The OK Chiron Symbol
You will sometimes read that Chiron is the wounded healer. That’s incorrect. He is associated with healing, medicine, surgery, vets and doctors – but he’s also associated with teaching, mentoring, guiding and tutoring (in music and hunting).
Most of all, he is linked to questions about what is appropriate, inappropriate, out of the question, beyond the pale, the new normal – or definitely to be rejected.
The symbol here is actually O.K. nodding to Object Kowal, which was Chiron’s first name. He was discovered by Charles Kowal.

However, as Chiron is about to enter Taurus on June 19th, it’s time to see what this means, both globally and in your own birth chart. Chiron shows the way. He guides. He’s the unlikeliest teacher of them all. He’s confronting. He is all about the experiment. Yet, it so often works.
When Is Chiron In Taurus?
June 19 to September 17 2026
April 14 2027 to July 19 2033

This is a long cycle, of about eight years. In a moment I will look at the financial and real estate prediction, if you have Scorpio and/or Taurus factors in your birth chart.
Your solar or Sun Sign chart is equally important. So here is what is in store.
Aries
Will you make your money moves ‘the new normal’ by 2034? You will be guided by a maverick person or organisation. A punk accountant, perhaps. What you pioneer and experiment with could be mainstream in a few years. My spirit guide just said ‘unorthodox’ and that’s true of what you’ll do with banking, for example. Or taxation. Charles Kowal, who found and named Chiron, was not part of the establishment in astronomy. He was an outsider. People, companies or trends which are also on the outside will tempt you to see what you can get away with next. There are no guarantees with Chiron. You could fail the first time. Yet you will also succeed.
Taurus
This Chiron in Taurus transit is about your appearance and name. Your reputation. How you are judged for the first time. Chiron is often called an intruder or outsider by astronomers. A person like this in charge of your hair, weight, shape, style, face, title, identity, profile, packaging – is about to emerge. There may be more than one such maverick pointing the way. Chiron is chaotic and unstable in astronomy. That’s how Harvard experts describe him. Those who are not exactly regular or normal will have a big impact on how you present. And of course that’s going to affect how you look in photographs, online or on YouTube. Not your old self. Not at all.
Gemini
This is about your religion, self-help, Tarot, counselling, hypnosis, mediumship, spirituality, dreams, aura, chakras and invisible inner self. Chiron is the son of Saturn and grandson of Uranus. He usually shows up as an older man who has a wildly experimental side to him. With Chiron, you have to ask if something (or someone) is okay, or not okay. For example, you may be tempted to use psychedelics for depression. Or you may want to communicate with a spirit guide even though your partner disapproves. Some faiths or philosophies confront conservative people. So do some therapies. Chiron in your solar Twelfth House is a tempting experiment.
Cancer
This is about friends and groups. Is there potential for healing? Yes. There is also potential for teaching and learning. The mistake so many people make with Chiron is the past tense. They call him a ‘wounded healer’ as if he was wounded, then began healing. In fact Chiron was wounded by arrows dipped in the Hydra’s blood and was in agony until Jupiter turned him into the Centaurus constellation! Cancer, you will make new friends on this cycle and join new groups which number musicians as well as doctors, herbalists or therapists. Psychics too. They will all represent an audacious life experiment to you. When it works, you move the goalposts.
I’m always amazed at the ‘wounded healer’ label stuck on Chiron by so many people with astrology blogs or social media feeds. Overwhelmingly in art and literature he has been shown as a music teacher. Below.
Leo
Chiron is in your Tenth House of success, status, ambition, position and mission for about eight years. So yes, there will be healing. Chiron used Black Bryony, Centaurea and Elecampane to heal (Source: The Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh). However he was just as much a music teacher. The largest study of Chiron is Martin Vogel’s Chiron der Kentaur mit der Kithara produced in 1978 one year after its discovery. Its main focus is Chiron and music. Chiron landed in 1977 when punk rock broke and the independent music industry was born, thanks to the Saints. Your goals and roles for around eight years will involve being fostered by one or more people (probably male) who have something of the healer or the musician about them.
Virgo
Anactoria Clarke (Durham University) mentions Chiron’s role as ‘both tutor and foster-father’ in her work, Horse, Human, Hybrid. Chiron teaches fighting, hunting, music, medicine and prophecy. Ditch the ‘wounded healer’ interpretation in favour of Chiron as educator – it’s far more accurate. As Chiron is in your sector of foreign countries and foreigners, you will be taken by the hand and given a tour guide like no other, travelling or perhaps emigrating. You will also be shown how a different culture, nationality and language can confront all your old ideas. Channel Chiron’s list of subjects (above) through another accent and you know what to expect. You may be shown homeopathy by a Frenchman or taught Tarot by an Indian. It’s on that level.
Libra
Chiron is in your Eighth House of joint finance and property. This is what you inherit. It is also your own will or legacy. It is about partnership (renting or owning real estate) too. Centauries are medicinal plants. This is one reason astrologers link Chiron to healing. Expect a fix-it person (be they business-minded new girlfriend, accountant, banker or broker) like no other. The cure or remedy will be wildly experimental, as Chiron always is. The Greek word χείρ (cheir), which translates to ‘hand’ survives in the name Chiron. From this we find chiromancy (palm reading), chiropractors and chirography (the art of handwriting). You will be take in hand and guided by a Chiron type. An outsider. Perhaps, an economic heretic. Remember – no 100% guarantees.
Scorpio
Repeatedly in art, Chiron takes his students by the hand or points the way. Knowledge is handed on. The Greek kheirourgos refers to working by hand. A surgeon does this, of course. What happens when Chiron is in your Seventh House of partnerships? Well, the partner may be personal, professional or platonic – but you will be physically shown an education. This may be your husband, wife, professional other half, or someone you are paired with but not involved with. Don’t forget Chiron (the OK symbol) challenges you – is this okay or not okay? Something about this partner and their situation will confront more traditional, conventional, conservative people. Astrologer Al H. Morrison gave us the familiar Chiron symbol. Of course it’s a nod to the man who discovered Chiron, Charles Kowal. But Charles was an outsider. A gadfly. A maverick. This painting by Reubens, below, sums Chiron up so well. Sagittarius
Chiron is about to gallop through Taurus and your Sixth House of workload and wellbeing. Commonly this cycle is about your job and your health. Chiron asks – do we accept, approve, agree – or not? In astrology in 1977 (when it was found) people were asking if it was okay to use an asteroid, a minor planet – in the horoscope. Today we know it as a minor planet and a comet and yes, it’s OK to use it. Chiron has a highly eccentric orbit. Zane B. Stein calls it a maverick, as did Dennis Elwell. Something about your professional, unpaid work or academic path will be way off the beaten track. It’s the same with your food, drink, fitness, doctor and so on. In 1977 they were asking if it was OK or not OK to make a baby in a test tube. Today IVF is mainstream.
Capricorn
For you, Chiron is in your Fifth House of bedroom, dating, babies, children, teenagers and younger adults. Chiron taught princes as half beast and half man, as it was necessary for a prince to know how to make use of both natures. Erasmus expressed the idea through imagery: “Chiron taught his pupils to play the lyre, but he taught them also the fierceness of centaurs.” There is quite clearly a teacher, mentor, guide or tutor waiting here, for your own or other people’s children. He, or possibly she, will be highly unusual. Philostratus wrote of Chiron and the young Achilles, his pupil, that he “stands with forelegs bent so as to be on a level with the boy.” This may be a male nanny (a manny) or the new High School teacher for a goddaughter.
Aquarius
Chiron is transiting your Fourth House of home, family, household, home town, homeland, apartment, land, garden and house. A relative or live-in partner, flatmate/roommate may become like Chiron on this transit, or a Chiron type may move in, or join the family. Who was he? Not a wounded healer. He never recovered from the poison arrow in his foot (Ovid). Yet, he did have knowledge of herbal medicine. Chiron was also a teacher, showing Achilles among others how to ride, to hunt, to shoot a bow and arrow, to play the lyre and juggle fierceness with civility. Your son may start riding on this transit. A new flatmate may be a naturopath. Sometimes the role is unofficial. Your landlord shows you how to play the guitar but he works in a bank.
Pisces
Chiron is in your Third House of media and internet for about eight years. I’ve mentioned how astronomers consider him to be chaotic. There is something classically all over the place about Chiron types. Yet they are brilliant educators. They are also interested in departing from the norm; leaving convention; breaking the rules or bending the system. A person or group resembling this description is about to gallop through your life. Inevitably AI will play a part. There are no guarantees with Chiron’s learning experiences. You can be successful. And you fail. Annoyingly, Chiron is about finding out. The Third House is also about language, broadcasting, public speaking, code, writing and using imagery to communicate. The Greek word χείρ (cheir), which translates to ‘hand’ lives on in Chiron. This will be hands-on training.
Chiron in Taurus and the World Economy
Chiron is the unlikeliest teacher (above). What happens when he rides through Taurus for eight years and the Second House of your birth chart?
Taurus rules gold bullion and bull markets. Taurus also rules the Wall Street bull. What happens when this symbol of the outsider, the maverick, the gadfly and the heretic starts galloping around in the sign of the bull? History tells us, the risk of another Wall Street crash is there, thanks to the trends of the Twenties. Yet in the Eighties the crash happened after Chiron had left Taurus.
The clue here rests with what Chiron actually is. He’s a teacher. He teaches us what is OK or not OK.

Saturn in Taurus and Chiron in Taurus
With Saturn entering Taurus in an overlap, though, we will see heavy global economic restrictions, from April 12, 2028 until May 31, 2030.
Saturn is about tightly ring-fenced situations with no fast or easy way out. In Taurus, again, this is any bull market, gold bullion and the Wall Street charging bull. You can see why people, governments and big business will test the limits, in a heavily limited situation.
Is it okay or not okay to print more money? To set up a local digital currency in your own town? And so on. If you go back to the Chiron cycles of the Twenties and Eighties, you see the fall-out from greed, both times. Chiron poses the question, if you can get away with it, should you get away with it? This advertisement reminds us of Chiron’s role as pharmacist. This will be also be about Big Pharma and big money too.
Chiron in 1538
This is an ancient symbol. Charles Kowal found Object Kowal in 1977 but Chiron, the name he eventually gave it, was a centaur for the ages.
This is from the Dictionary of Syr Thomas Eliot (1538): “Chiron, nis, the name of a man, whom poetes doo fayne to be the one halfe of a man, the other halfe lyke a hors: who fyrst dyd fynde the vertues of herbes, and taughte Aesculapius phisike, and Apollo to harpe, and Astronomy to Hercules, and was master to Achylles, and excelled all other men of his tyme in vertue and iustyce.”
Chiron is a Multi-Tasking Teacher
Essentially, he is a multi-tasking teacher. He teaches herbs, healing, music and astronomy. Apply that to economics and big business and we have a wild ride, ahead.
If we go rocketing forward in time from 1538 to the 1920s and particularly the Wall Street Crash, we find the RCA (Radio Corporation of America) was one of the worst speculative stocks of the 1920s. Jazz, country and blues were channelled through RCA. Chiron the music teacher.
During October 24-28, 1929 RCA showed Americans what was okay and not okay.
Doctors Trading Livestock for Health Care
Following the 1929 Wall Street Crash, the American health care system buckled under the weight of the Great Depression. Chiron the healer as teacher. Patients regularly paid physicians with livestock, produce, firewood, and even personal labor like plumbing or carpentry.
That crash and depression happened on a Taurus-Scorpio karmic node cycle. This is not that. However, we do have Saturn in Taurus and therefore logic suggests, Chiron in Taurus will deliver economic punks – the Sex Pistols of cryptocurrency – and the equivalent of test tube baby experiments with banking, taxation, real estate and business.
Then along comes Saturn. This is global belt-tightening not seen in 28 years.
