From July 1st, 1971, American teenagers who had turned 18 earned the right to vote for the first time. Many of them were hippies, John Lennon fans and firmly against Vietnam. They won the ‘peace’ vote while Uranus was in Libra. If you know those 1971 voters or are in that group, you are also influencing politics in 2017. Jupiter is going to return right to the spot Uranus occupied in that year, when anti-Vietnam teenagers voted for the first time.

This is really for my old Vogue readers in South Korea and my new Marie Claire readers too – if you have ever wondered about the chance of there ever being any kind of peace agreement or global compromise involving North Korea, the period from now through October 10th 2017 will show you what is possible. When? According to the data above, it will be when Jupiter crosses 10, 11, 12 Libra and 25, 26, 27, 28 Libra.
New Generation, New Korea?
You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one! Watch October 27th through November 10th, 2016 and September 17th through October 5th, 2017. That is when North Korea has her best chance in 12 years to strike a deal with the rest of the world. Why? Jupiter makes a rare pass over those important Libra horoscope factors.
Jupiter often has to detox, clean up and bring problems to the surface before any kind of healing can be done. North Korea has a difficult ‘birth’ horoscope, to say the least. Now that so many Generation Libra people are the right age to make change happen, though, it may be that all the Generation Libra people across Asia and the world can move things forward. Time will tell but the opportunity is there.

Hi Jessica, interesting about Jupiter in Libra and peace/war: did you know that Mahatma Ghandi was a Libran? (02 October 1869). For me he represents the biggest symbol of peace fighting for peace that this planet has ever seen. I am surprised about Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May however as they seem the exact opposite of Ghandi: my way or the highway and not so good at compromise and ‘balance’/harmony. I do feel that T. May wants to be the next M. Thatcher and I worry that she will turn out a very divisive Prime Minister as well. On a separate note on peace, I personally think that the biggest – and most heart-breaking – problem the world is facing right now is Syria and the hellish situation there: unless I missed it, I have not seen any of your posts mentioning Syria and its fate. Any thoughts about what may happen in the future? Will Jupiter in Libra finally bring the hope of some peace for Syrians?
You must have read my mind, as I made a note about Gandhi in my journal yesterday then promptly forgot it. You are quite right, and I am going to make another note to myself now, to find his birth chart. Heavily Libran people do turn to non-violent protest – or they opt for deterrents – which is why those other Librans, Thatcher and May, are so profoundly linked with nuclear weapons. Occasionally they will go to war for the sake of peace, too. On the subject of Syria, the US and Russia handshake agreement appeared exactly as Jupiter entered Libra. A great omen. Once Mercury has ceased his retrograde cycle I will find the Syria chart too! Thank you.

Can you please explain the impact that retrograde Pluto and retrograde Uranus (both in Libra) have in my birth chart?
Is there any fundamental difference between how they impact on a person’s life as opposed to not being in retrograde?

Aren’t you nice, thank you. I get asked this question about being born with retrograde planets, quite a lot. You won’t notice your stop-start patterns with your former, current or potential partners all the time. Just regularly enough to know they are real! Essentially you are all about changing what a date should be; what marriage should be; what commitment should be; what separation should be. However every time you do this, you either get stuck or go back and forth with the process. When Jupiter conjuncts Uranus and Pluto in your chart (check the degrees on this website, day to day) you will see this magnified with a key person, yet it will also work very well for you. Sometimes it helps relationship equality to be stop/start or go/slow.

We need to see what Wikileaks comes up with regarding Benghazi. I am standing by my original prediction. If Hillary Clinton can beat Bernie, Bill and Benghazi she’s the next president. I wish she had a birth time so we could be more specific, but it’s never been given publicly.
