Hey Jessica
I trust all is well with you
I was eager to get your perspective on my work life as I recently quit my job and am enjoying some time for me. I am a proud Leo born 3/08/81 1208 pm in Victoria
Cheers
Melinda
Your MC (Midheaven) rules your calling in life, and it stands at 7 Capricorn in your Tenth House of ambition, status, success and the top. For the first time in around 29 years Saturn is slowly crossing 7 Capricorn and you have quit your job. This is textbook, Melinda. So what’s in store? You are strongly Leo with a huge stellium in the Fifth House. What is the Fifth House? Take a closer look on Search when you finish reading this, but essentially this is where you spend a lot of your time. It’s about mentoring, guiding, teaching, inspiring, motivating and setting an example to children and younger people. Many women with this kind of chart end up becoming outstanding mothers, godmothers, aunts or grandmothers. It is just as common to find a part-time or full-time role working in the field of youth and young people. Teaching is common, but so too is attending to the entertainment that brings young and old together. J.K. Rowling and Beatrix Potter both had/have strongly Leo charts. When the time is right you will come up again, and are very likely to blaze a new trail in a groundbreaking, innovative and highly inventive new field. It is extremely important that it gives you room to move. Freedom and independence will become increasingly important to you from March 2019. Really have a look at your very particular impact on and influence with younger faces – that generation born 20+ years after you is a great place to think about a project or role.
Hi Jessica, Although I am an Aries the first five paragraphs of this article on Sag women uncannily sums up much of my outlook (with the exception of major periods of family responsibility – nodes). In terms of understanding the astrology, might that be because of my natal Mars in Leo matching the fifth house of self expression you describe above?
You were born with Panacea at 4 Sagittarius in your Ninth House making quite tight aspects with the rest of your chart – Moon at 5 Gemini, Ceres at 5 Virgo – and that is what is known as a T Square. You are probably thus ‘doing’ your T Square and leading with your Panacea sign.
Hi Jessica, I’m curious to know how you arrive at these different descriptions for men and women under each sun sign – is it from personal observation of the traits of the sexes? Does astrology really recognise a person’s gender/sex (can you tell from a birth chart, for example) or should we read both gender’s characteristics and see what fits in our personal story? (I’m relating more to Brad than to Taylor here!)
Astrology is about archetypes and they are based on male or female symbols. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, a male archetype. You cannot tell gender nor sexuality from a chart but you can certainly tell if people find it easier to act out their male or female side. So, Grayson Perry’s chart is a marvel to behold. You can relate to whichever symbols you prefer – of course. Some men ‘do’ their Venus in a really obvious way. Some women really turn on their Mars or Saturn.
Thanks Jessica this is so spot on for me. Due to your site I have now become aware that asteroids are important to a chart too…I seem to have a lot of things in sag and the 9th house…I am hoping that means I am in for a lucky year…this year hasn’t been the best unfortunately
