Astrology Prediction – 2026 Midterms
The 2026 United States Senate elections are scheduled to be held on November 3rd, 2026. What trends are we seeing?
In this feature I will look at the astrology chart set for the midterms election. I will also look at The Modern I Ching, The Astrology Oracle, The Smith Waite Tarot and The Garden Oracle.
All these digital cards decks are on this website in the Divination section, for you.
But first, that midterms horoscope. This is an historic change in the balance of power for both parties, Democrats and Republicans. It shows a reshuffle within both.
The US Natal Chart
The US Natal ChartNot born on the Fourth of July, as most American astrologers have it, but rather earlier.
This is the US natal chart set for the first time she was named ‘The United States of America’ in official correspondence.
There is no time, so we use 12 noon, and lose the angles and the Moon – but the rest of the chart sings. Have a look at the trine from Mars at 2 Aquarius to Uranus at 3 Gemini. It is tied to Salacia at 3 Taurus.
From New Hampshire to Georgia
This is about New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The 13 Colonies are a group (Aquarius) and they are also neighbours (Gemini).
Thomas Paine, writing in Common Sense, back on 10th January 1776, told the states to liberate themselves from Britain in January 1776. It began the American Revolution. One of the issues was taxation. You can see all this in the pattern at 2 Aquarius, 3 Gemini and 3 Taurus.
Liberation and Revolution
We will see history repeat when transiting Uranus goes to 2, 3 Gemini and/or transiting Pluto goes to 2, 3 Aquarius. So that’s July 2025, August 2025, December 2025, January 2026, February 2026, June 2026, July 2026 (watch the Fourth of July 2026, when Mars and Uranus are both at 3 Gemini), August 2026, September 2026, October 2026 (the Midterms are now close) – and November 2026, when America votes on the 3rd.
This is fated. Pluto is at 3 Aquarius and Uranus is at 3 Gemini. It goes on. December 2026, January 2027, March 2027, April 2027, finish the pattern.
Specifics – the US Astrology Chart
Rex E. Bills’ Rulership Book (American Federation of Astrologers, Arizona, 1971) takes the astrology apart for us so that we can see where America is headed, now through April 2027.
What was true about January 1776 that will be true again from July 2026 to April 2027? What did Bills have in his classic astrology book, that the Romans (who gave us modern astrology) would also have recognised in Uranus, Mars and Pluto? In Gemini and Aquarius?
Uranus – Agitators, boycotts, casualties, brotherhoods, crises, dethroning, disruptions, impulsiveness.
Gemini – Communication, debate, information, libraries, magazines, neighbours, publications.
Mars – Agitators (again), aggressors, arson, assault, battlefields, burning, controversy, combat.
Aquarius – Clubs, freethinking, organizations, progressives, societies, co-operatives, friends.
Okay, so that’s America, since birth. What about Pluto, triggering that pattern, together with Uranus itself, between now and April 2027?
Pluto – Coercion, crime, mortality, obsession, perpetrators, reprobates, secrets, underground places.
I will leave Rex Bills’ edited lists with you, as so many of my readers are psychics, astrologers or psychic astrologers and inspiration may come.
Changes in Power
When we look at the actual Midterms voting day chart – Pluto, the ‘demotion, promotion and departure’ planet is at 3 Aquarius in the sector of groups, teams, clubs, friends, allies and so on. This is where we always find political parties.
It is next to Juno at 2 Aquarius. Juno is about commitment. Who or what you wed yourself to. This is America’s ‘marrying’ a completely transformed version of both parties.
Foreigners and Foreign Countries
The pattern can only happen every 248 years. It picks up Proserpina and Cupido, both at 3 Sagittarius, in the sector of foreigners and foreign countries. Which nation is this? Russia? China? Perhaps it’s nations, plural. Europe?
You would also expect foreign background American politicians to be part of the reshuffle. Cupido is about relationships. So is Proserpina. This is not just diplomacy or policy. A couple; a marriage; a family tie – shows up.
There’s another pattern here, tying into Neptune at 2 Aries. This is the US military illusion.
Midterms in the Tarot
On 4th July 2025, my question is (looking well over a year into the future) ‘What wins the midterms?’
I don’t ask who, because democracy is harmed by astrologers naming winners. First-time, young voters may not bother showing up.
The Smith Waite Tarot on my website says, the Five of Swords wins. The Tarot shows the chart. This is a change in power. A winner and loser within a party.
Many of my readers are psychics. What and who do you see here? I can see the foreign country on the horizon. Now, ‘foreign’ can also mean Canada, of course. But this nation is a player.
Psychic Oracles and Midterms 2026
What wins? Cupid in the Tenth House, according to The Astrology Oracle. This is quite striking. It’s the second time Cupid (Cupido) has shown up.
This is about a career couple. A professional relationship. Sometimes Cupid is mother-son, but it is usually about two lovers.
Successful Ideas will win the 2026 Midterms, according to The Garden Oracle. Quote,
“Successful ideas are worth celebrating. You seem to have planted several of them at the right time, in the right place – and seen everything through to completion. As a result you are now free to enjoy yourself with like-minded people who understand what you’ve achieved, and why it’s so important to all of you.”
Duration Wins
The Modern I Ching says, Duration wins. Thus, “A mountain endures snow, hail, wind and rain – and hot summers. This symbol is about staying the course, for the duration. Resilience and strength over time are the hallmarks of successful people or organisations. Built to last. A fixed commitment to the long-term despite seasonal change or wavering conditions is characteristic of institutions that become part of the landscape – just like a great mountain.”

The senate and house just passed the Big Beautiful Bill.. I am very worried about Americans.
I feel very scared for the American people and it feels like we are losing.
Hmm. It was passed on Mercury Retrograde so is very unlikely to remain intact, or even remain, long-term.
Like me, the United States is a Cancer sign—and while my horoscope says this is meant to be a positive year overall, I can’t help but feel a deep sorrow when I look at the state of the nation. The pain, division, and destruction we see all around us stand in sharp contrast to any sense of optimism.
What’s most striking is how little attention is being paid to our upcoming 250th anniversary. I vividly remember the excitement and national pride that surrounded the 1976 bicentennial. In 1974, there was already a buzz—plans, parades, commemorations. Now? It’s barely a whisper.
Flags no longer wave as they once did. Instead, they’ve been replaced by Trump flags or flown upside down in distress. It feels symbolic: not just that there’s little left to celebrate, but that we no longer live in the United States of America. The Constitution feels sidelined, and we seem to be drifting toward rule by ego, not by law.
It raises the question none of us want to face but must ask:
How much longer can the Divided States of America hold together?
The Divided States is about right, as Uranus goes through Gemini, within days. We just had Jupiter in Gemini. Gemini, of course, rules neighbouring states and neighbouring countries. So it’s not just New York and Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut. It’s also America and Canada. Jupiter is always ‘bigger’ so the division between the neighbouring states and countries has grown wider and expanded in this recent 2024-2025 cycle. Now, we are about to see a revolution with rejection on all sides. Canada rejects the US and the US rejects Canada. California rejects Mexico and Mexico rejects California. From this comes freedom and independence. This cycle does not stop until 2033 as you’ve read, but it will bring exhilarating new space, autonomy and a sense of being unshackled – unchained or hidebound. That is very interesting and we are not sure where it comes from, yet. Uranus is always unique, unexpected, unusual, unlikely and unfolds in minutes. What you lose, of course, is the unity and solidarity of old, so America 250 on July 4th 2026 is an odd affair. The other prime mover in all this is that the Kremlin believes in ‘Divide and conquer’ so of course has been seeking to undermine unity among Americans by spending a great deal of effort on manufacturing divisive issues which they know, splits the vote. An old trick but a good trick (so far). The Democrats walked straight into that particular trap with Kamala Harris, abortion and trans. And of course it was about the difference between neighbouring states. The country will come back together. This is exactly the same cycle as the 1940s so America is likely to see a new ‘great migration’ as people shift states, or even go across to Canada. More Uranus in Gemini ‘neighbouring’ change. Afterwards it will be a different country, yes.

I am sorry you work for a terrible company. You are a Sun Leo person with stelliums in Leo, Cancer and Libra. At least your home life, household, real-estate, home offers you a better existence in 2025. Your entire issue has been transiting Uranus in Taurus in your solar Tenth House of career, since 2018. A rollercoaster is typical as Uranus sends us sideways. It also moves on its side. This stops in two days for you (we don’t know why). You have a long break from this transit in your solar chart, then it returns briefly from November until April 2026. It is possible that you will leave then, or find the company itself is no longer what it was. Long-term you do, in fact, need a very long-term plan. Uranus is out of Taurus so the revolution in your career is also out of your life, permanently, from April 2026, with a preview of that absence of ’tilt’ and spin, in days. It won’t be too long before Chiron and Saturn are both in Taurus, though, again in your solar Tenth House of career. Your Sun is at 6 Cancer and Pluto is at 13 Libra, with the Moon at 13 Aries. Venus is at 13 Leo. In modern astrology, you do not have a square at all, from the Sun to either Pluto or the Moon. The orb is too wide. However, you were born with a Pluto-Moon opposition involving partners. Pluto is in the Seventh House of duets and double acts, commonly romantic partnerships, but sometimes other kinds of pairs and couples. Your Moon is in the First House of reputation, appearance and packaging – image. Any opposition is about an internal tug-of-war and you have this with dating (say) or being in a relationship (for example) but also very much the mirror, the camera, your online profile on social media and how you are seen. You also have Venus at 13 Leo tied into the pattern, so there is a major story here about courtship, the bedroom, babies, infants, children, teenagers or young adults. Venus is a symbol of complicated relationships. What can you do? Reduce the stakes. Try not to make love and sex, the whole of your life. It’s the same with parenthood, if you are a parent. You may also need to become a DIY expert on relationships, seeing a counsellor if you need one, or hitting the self-help books. It’s not unusual to avoid partnerships altogether with this opposition as being one half of a pair is such a stretch. With Uranus leaving Taurus you will also be well out of the most difficult cycle in many years, for sexual and financial relationships, which began in 2018 and is out of your life in days.
It ain’t Trump.
First I looked at the chart for a while. What pops out for me is the ASC at 20 Capricorn. Standing there all by it’s lonesome. Bookended by loaded Air and Fire energy on either side. The old goat at the top is going down.
Then I looked at the placements in Aries and Libra. So Aesculapia (miraculous comebacks) at 21′ Libra makes a trine to the ASC in Capricorn at 20′ and I think the asteroid Ops at 20′ Aries also trines. And I know you don’t use his chart but if you did he has his ASC is at 29 Leo.
Another factor is Chiron on 27 Aries opposite Kamala Harris Sun at 27 Libra. Not sure the orb is tight enough to trine the ASC at 20′ Capricorn.
Then I pulled my cards:
Astrology Oracle – Proserpina and 11th House. The power of the go-between in friends/groups. Wife of Pluto and daughter of Ceres. May live in two homes. Also bridges and tunnels that connect two places. England and France (connected by the tunnel) could have a part to play here. Perhaps Melania as well.
Garden Oracle – #42 – “The Successful Man” – Mustard Flower. References a materially successful man. Talks of blended families. Mustard flower symbolizes a new start, and is one of the first flowers to bloom in spring. Also yellow, the color of cowards.
Tarot – Eight of Cups – a light haired man in red clothing turns his back and retreats under a full moon and/or eclipse. There is a total lunar eclipse in Virgo on March 3 2026.
Modern I Ching – #41 – DECREASE – Loss/things diminishing. eating go and releasing. Direct quote from the expanded explanation in the flip book: “People emigrate because they want to lessen – remove – what troubles them in their town and country. They turn down the commitment to their people and place.”
Takeaway: Trump is crashing the economy in order to weaken the US dollar and boost his Bitcoin empire. That coupled with misuse of military power gets him tossed out next spring. He walks away and emigrates to a Middle eastern country with his family of grifters.
Lastly I don’t know why but I get that the peacemaker guy with green clothing in your 5 of swords tarot card is Zelenskyy.
This is packed with detail, thank you. In both Tarot cards there is a figure with his (or her) back turned to us, either going out of the picture, or out of the picture. This agrees with the chart. A big power shift. I really enjoy reading the hive mind on issues like this. I guess we’ll find out in November 2026.
Well, I wound up getting what I believe is a picture of Melania in 2026. Eight of Swords/Choices in the Garden Oracle/Wanderer in the I Ching/and Juno-8th house. This could be interpreted in more than one way as regard to specifics—But I don’t think any of those potential interpretations are inconsistent with anything that’s been said here. As you say, we’ll just have to see.

Hi Jessica! I’m glad that you posted about the devastating Big Beautiful Bill, that is a total devastation to the United States. I’m really hoping that this is the impetus that the Democrats need and get to start pulling it together to move forward positively.
I am having work issues. I love my job in education, but it seems like the harder that I work and try to make positive moves the more that I am facing a brick wall with my supervisor. Every time that I think that I’m making a positive move forward, she seems to limit the scope of my work. I’m getting very frustrated because I feel like it undermines my ability to do a great job. I have started looking for another job. I’m not quietly quitting, but I am looking for a job that gives me more autonomy. Can you please advise me on what to do? Thank you for your input.

So let’s see what happens on the actual day of the Uranus in Gemini ingress; Monday 7th July. I am sorry you have a frustrating supervisor. You feel undermined, quite rightly, even though you love your job in education overall. You have an unusual chart. Hi Jessica, thanks for this post. It’s been hard to celebrate this July 4th in light of the Bill Trump just signed. With all of the funding that will now go to militarizing ICE and other Trump internal polices forces, it feels like democracy is dying. I pulled the Smith Waite Strength card, so maybe some healing will come out of all of this conflict that is likely to get much much worse. Beloved food vendors in LA are getting dragged into ICE vans. Children are getting harassed at schools. People are afraid. This is happening and it’s heartbreaking. At least we are all clear that racism and kleptocracy are running the show. Maybe the people will rise up? I just hope California, etc can survive all this.
Take heart; Pluto in Aquarius, following Pluto in Capricorn, functions just like this. It takes time for the old power structures to be replaced. We are in exactly the same cycle as Nero, Henry VIII and George III. It took a very long time indeed for Donald and the Kremlin to establish themselves at the top of the world order. They did this from 2008-2024. For the next 20 years, people power, involving women, replaces that patriarchy. You are hitting the Uranus in Gemini cycle, which opposes the Sagittarius (foreigners and foreign countries) patterns in the astrological charts of millions of Americans. This is actually a worldwide cycle, of course, so you are also seeing resistance to immigration in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. You are planning to leave. What does your chart say? You have stelliums in Gemini and Sagittarius (local life, neighbouring places, regional areas – versus foreign life, overseas countries, other cultures). In fact, you have the lunar nodes there, so you have a past life, probably with your father, concerning emigration. You’ve been here before. The final choice is up to you, but what your horoscope suggests, is that you go sideways on the map, not across the world. In other words, America to Canada or Mexico. Or from your own state (if you are outside California) to California itself. Why? Hi Jessica, thank you for your blog and interpretation. Yes, the US is no longer as it was… It’s hard to put into words how it feels, as if the US experiment has failed. The 4th just passed and it did not feel like a day to celebrate.

Thank you. Never underestimate Pluto in Aquarius with America, as Elon Musk has only just announced his own political party, which will take on both the Republicans and the Democrats. Elon Musk is the wealthiest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$381 billion as of May 2025, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and $424.7 billion according to Forbes. Whichever figure you accept, he is going to transform U.S. politics and, we have to remember, he has called for Donald’s impeachment. Pluto in Aquarius is people power and it includes women. The Leo pattern and Scorpio pattern suggests, there is a sexual relationship, de facto partnership or marriage at the heart of what wins. This is not just about politics. I am one of those who is trying to “flee”. I’ve been living in NZ on and off for almost 30 years now. I just applied for citizenship but have gotten a letter back stating that I don’t meet the in-country requirements for the last five years because I’ve spent too much time in the US (I had surgery, cared for a dying friend, and my sister). They haven’t considered my previous years here. I need to write a letter to the Ministry stating my case. Here’s my dilemma: A big part of me wants to go back to the US and fight this tyranny. How dare MAGA take away our rights and freedoms! How dare the US oligarchy play with our finances like so many monopoly pieces! I’m just one person, and I know I’m lucky to be able to live in a politically healthier (some would argue) country.
My question is, will I obtain citizenship here in NZ, and do you see a future for me and my daughter here based on my chart? I have just a wee nest egg saved and do depend on my social security from the US. Could this be taken away as well?

I am sorry that the NZ government has said no this time, but Mercury is Retrograde, so there is hope. (Paperwork, emails, official correspondence goes backwards and forwards on this transit. Mercury Retrograde is in Leo, which rules parents and children, so this is about your daughter. This decision by them changes or is scrapped, later, regarding her). Kris, you also want to fight ‘Make America Great Again’ and have social security with the US government. There’s lots going on here. You are a Sun Taurus woman with stelliums in Gemini, Sagittarius, Cancer, Aquarius, Leo. Bottom line: if you are going to move to a new town and home, do it by June 2026, with Jupiter (solutions, opportunities, luck) in Cancer, going right across the factors your have in the Fourth House of family, household and real-estate. However, if you were to include going between the two countries in that, it would be extremely hard. Uranus in Gemini will transit that opposition you have, until 2033, so there will be endless obstacles with airlines, visas, passports, dual citizenship and so on. Your Sagittarius stellium in the Ninth House explains your 30-year NZ-USA relationship but it is also about to be blocked and stopped. Thank you Jessica! This is very sage advice. The stellums resonated with me too, and I can see how they can shape my thinking as well as my intuition. I must add that my daughter is a Sun Leo with Libra rising born in 2000 and has NZ citizenship already through her father. So she’s set to stay here if she wishes. She finishes her advanced degree here in NZ in December, then must stay another two years to work so this should be where I stay for the time being. I just wish to be in the same country as her. And if what you predict comes to fruition (and my intuition says it will), my continuing to travel between the two countries will become more difficult, and expensive too. Not to mention the carbon footprint. I guess ridding oneself of patriotic feeling and duty is harder than we think.
I walked on the beach today, picking up trash from our last big storm and thinking about where do I go next with the time I have left. The path forward just doesn’t seem clear. And I was so careful to start my NZ citizenship application when Mercury wasn’t retrograde!

I felt a moment of glee as I thought about him splitting the Republican party, then I wondered if he would gain Democrats as well.
Musk has an alliance with Peter Thiel, the mentor to JD Vance. So there might be more behind his announcement than is evident.

With Elon now talking about launching a new political party, I’m curious to see how it plays out in the U.S. given the level of distrust surrounding him. The Democrats aren’t on board. Not too sure about the Republicans. After the big ugly bill that just passed, he’s promised to oppose every Republican who supported it in the upcoming midterms. He could either split the Republican vote or hurt them in 2026, especially with some Republicans already worried about them losing the majority. And if the Democrats regain control of the House, they’ll likely move to impeach Trump for a third time (assuming he’s still in the picture by then). The real challenge will be getting the new party on the ballot in every state, which seems tough. We’ll have to wait and see how it all shakes out.
No, the Democrats would not be on board with Elon Musk or his new America party. And of course, people who back Donald in the Republican party are against him. Musk wants 2 or 3 Senate seats and 8 to 10 House districts. Meanwhile, Donald has publicly discussed deporting Elon. The issue with the America party is the unstable, churning, unpredictable quality of the group itself (once others come on board) which dominates Elon Musk’s plans, November 2025 to April 2026. And of course, that same erratic, zig-zag relationship he will have with both the major parties.
Hi Jessica – like others here, I want to thank you for your focus on and support of us living through this time in the US. All of my fears have been represented here by others, and I find myself wildly emotional from the depths of despair to finding hope and faith in our future here. But mostly I feel incredibly sad and anxious as a baseline. I’m the single mother of a 6 yr old boy, and I have no idea what is next for us. We live in Austin, TX – our city is wonderful and we have a close knit community, but insanely hot many months out of the year (which makes me feel trapped bc I love being outside, and my son needs to be out, running around, exploring) and Texas as a state is cruel and inhumane. My parents have dual citizenship in Australia, but I’m not sure if they’re going back and anyway, that doesn’t feel like the right place for us, though I’d rather them there for lifestyle and a better quality of life. Long winded! Do you see me uprooting our life in Austin? There couldn’t be more change it feels like: our country, my state getting more draconian, my job as a consultant in flux. There is alot of talk about how bad the US is, but I feel hopeful when I compare astrology to history. The US is currently having Pluto in the same position it was approximately 248 years ago, in the same position it was when the US declared independence from a mad king.
Nearly 250 years later, we have another mad king (Trump), and army of red coats (MAGA and Republicans, who use the color red), and a very divided nation (when war broke out in 1775, the country was divided, with 40% wanting independence, 40% wanting to remain loyal to England, and the remaining 20% unsure). See the similarities?
Are we going to have a war? No, we aren’t. But history and astrology seems to indicate a shift where the American army finds their new general (be it Newsom or that “money woman” you mentioned in an earlier post) who will grind down the redcoats. California is under fire and is gaining sympathy throughout the world. The 2028 Olympics will be there. Already there are whispers about the Democrats new messaging (I plan to send them some like “Billionaires, Pay Your Share!”).
What will happen long term? Probably the dismantling of the Supreme Court as we know it. I know you mentioned abortion as one of the reasons Democrats lost, but more and more stories are being shared of women suffering from septic infections or even forced to carry babies with no formed skulls full term, resulting in one woman almost dying and actually losing her fertility (Tennessee is currently hearing that case, among others).
My point is this: the British lost in part because of overreach, and MAGA is doing the same. At the end of the war, it took many years to get a stable government again, but Washington did it, and I am hopeful history will deliver us a new one, whoever he or she may be.
History was not kind to those who supported the British after 1781. Many were forced to flee to Canada. Yet somehow I don’t think MAGA will be welcomed there.
For those of us who are thinking about leaving, wouldn’t it be better to wait a few years when the battle turns again in our favor? In 2028, it may be MAGA who are forced to leave.

Great. The Ace of Swords shows the leader’s crown (the ‘King’ or ‘Queen’ figure) being removed from that head, ready for the next recipient. This is a dethroning and a coronation. So, within either or both parties – or just in terms of Donald losing his crown. The action in the card is sudden, swift, decisive and aggressive. It also hints at the card I drew, which shows swords yet again. There is an aggressor and a victim in that card. Please don’t worry about the future of your grandchildren. Pluto is in Aquarius and this is the cycle that delivered Christianity, Good Queen Bess and women’s rights. It just takes a while to get going!
Hi, Jessica! Thank you for pointing out that the inaptly named “Big Beautiful Bill” was passed on Mercury Retrograde. I had felt intuitively that much of it would end up not being implemented, and now I see the astrology backs that up.
There’s much to say here, but I would just like to point out to the folks who are tempted to despair: we’re in a classic pattern where the old system, the old rulers, are overreaching in a desperate attempt to hold onto power. You can see the bombastic overreaction on a daily basis now. This attempt will eventually fail. There’s tremendous momentum in this country to resist tyranny, and this time around, it’s building at the grassroots level, not ginned up and controlled by covert corporate sponsorship with a hidden agenda, as in recent times past.
More and more people are waking up; witness the massive “No Kings” protests that overshadowed DJT’s pathetic birthday parade, as well as the protests again on the Fourth, and the plans for protests in the future; check out the 50501 website, among others, for this information. (These efforts have been inadequately reported by mainstream media, it’s true.)
There also are numerous, massive legal challenges being orchestrated by blue states and pro-democracy groups; and anti-R, pro-people candidates are winning in off-season elections all over the country, and by larger margins than expected, from the local level on up. Anecdotally, even red-hat voters are becoming more disillusioned, as they realize that their votes have backfired on them.
At the same time, incumbent R politicians are resigning from Congress in record numbers (most recently, for example, Sen. Thom Tillis, Rep. Don Bacon) as they see the writing on the wall and want to avoid losing in 2026. They know that the BBB, per numerous polls, is the most unpopular piece of federal legislation since polling began–and that’s really saying something.
Make no mistake: passage of the BBB is a pyrrhic victory for the Rs, a massive miscalculation on the order of their failed attempt to overturn the ACA (Obamacare) in 2017, which led to their historic midterm losses in 2018. Then, they only *tried* to take health care away from millions; this time, they’ve actually succeeded (at least on paper; many of the cuts don’t come into effect until 2027, and if the Dems flip Congress, they likely never will). Americans can live with many things, but they can’t tolerate taking needed medicine away from children, or treatment away from cancer victims. That simply won’t fly.
Also, I believe Elon’s efforts will work in favor of the Democrats and regular people (perhaps unintentionally). He’s already promised to primary Republicans who voted for the BBB, and his new party will likely serve as a spoiler for Republicans–Democrats don’t trust him and will still vote Democratic regardless, but he will likely peel off enough disillusioned red-hatters and other R constituencies to flip close districts, in a midterm year when the party in power is very unpopular (as the Rs are now). And I don’t think the Rs are looking at a mere few points here, to be honest.
It seems endless, I know; but remember, the massive upheaval that was the American Revolution lasted from 1775 to 1783, and the new system of government wasn’t fully hashed out and implemented until ca. 1789. We’re in a similar pattern, and it’s early days yet. I believe that, now as then, we will see increasing disunity for a while, but ultimately, a reunification along more egalitarian, commonsense lines. America won’t look like it did in the past, but it will ultimately be better. It’s going to take time, though.
Jessica, I believe you have mentioned previously that you the power of AI being reduced, or its vast potential for generating harm being brought under control somehow–and that this is coming in the near future. Is this correct, and if so would you care to expand on it? The misuse of AI seems to be reaching a peak right now. Not only are big businesses now planning to use it to displace millions of workers; but recent reporting (e.g., on “Sixty Minutes”) has revealed that “mapping” efforts by the big purveyors such as Meta are creating terrible psychological and societal harm here and abroad, including creating an unregulated cottage industry in parts of Africa that verges on modern slavery.
As with so many things, AI may be useful as a tool, but put in the driver’s seat, it’s a menace. If we really are in the beginning of a new people-power era, this technology needs to be addressed, and those who’ve inflicted it on the rest of us need to be divested of their power to harm. What do you see in this regard? Thank you very much.
Thank you. I do like these conversations about astrology and history. I’ve followed your line of thought in another comment, but to focus on Elon Musk, it’s rather like a good detective story. Step back and ask yourself what he wants. What he wants, is an electric car planet. And he wants there to be two sexes. If the Democrats give him that, he’ll take it. The Republicans have given him one (the push back against faux women in sport) and not the other (gas/petrol is still winning). He also wants AI of course and his not-very-good Grok is in competition with Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman and the rest of them. Uranus in Gemini is the obvious electric car and A.I. transit and it was ushered in by Jupiter in Gemini, 2024-2025, so we have seen the path laid. What is different here, is Pluto in Aquarius. The power is with the people and it’s shared horizontally, not from the top down – so if you’re going to behave like a cross between Nero, Henry VIII and George III, the astrology and history tell us you are doomed to not only fail, but to leave the planet rather sooner than you might have expected. Or even, lose your mind.
One more thing: I’ve read elsewhere that the new Uranus in Gemini cycle coincides with the U.S.’s Uranus return, since she came into being with Gemini in Uranus (so maybe America was “born this way”?). The last such return was during WWII, and previously during the Civil War era. Mightn’t this also indicate the breakdown of an untenable, unhealthy status quo and replacing it with something better–e.g., the end of slavery in the U.S. in the 1860s; or America’s role in helping to defeat fascism and usher in a relatively more politically stable and economically prosperous era during the 1940s?
So, in other words, this sounds like it at least *might* ultimately be a positive for this country and our neighbors, as well as bad news for any party or individual that tries to cling to brute power and roll back social progress (especially if, as new investigations and lawsuits are now seeking to prove, that party/individual turns out to have manipulated the last election to illicitly grab that power).
In the most hopeful interpretation, this would mean we might somehow be freed from potential enslavement by AI as well.
Anyway, all this *seems* to point to a “blue wave” midterm season and a repudiation of the red-hat agenda. Food for thought.
Yes, America has transiting Uranus going to 3 Gemini, in a conjunction with her natal Uranus at 3 Gemini, so she has her Uranus Return in the Third House of neighbouring states and countries. It’s close to a trine with Mars at 2 Aquarius in the Eleventh House of groups, tribes, allies and communities. The chart I use is set for 2nd January 1776 as I find the horoscopes for the US used by most American astrologers don’t work. (4th July didn’t work for the majority of them in predicting the failure of Kamala Harris, for example). When we go back to January 1776 we can see what October-December 2026 will be like. So that’s Thomas Paine’s pamphlet “Common Sense,” which pushed for American independence from Britain. New Hampshire stepped up. The Tory Act took place as some states still backed Britain. You get border disputes between Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Uranus is the revolution; Gemini is the neighbours, so the astrology is pretty impressive here. Thinking about positive outcomes, we then go forward to the last war and find another Uranus in Gemini return, but this time the US is with the UK, shoulder to shoulder and the neighbours come with her; notably Canada and Mexico. Uranus is always ‘the last thing you expect to happen, happens’ so if you’d told the Americans of 1776 that by the 1940s they would be fighting alongside the British – they would have been shocked. This time around? Donald has set wheels turning with Canada and Mexico already, not to mention California, so he is absolutely in the Third House zone. Yet, there will be the usual Uranus u-turns, the unexpected, the stormy weather – and as always – independence. So much depends on the policies he adopts next.

The US Uranus return runs July 5, 2026 through May 28, 2029. I’m wondering what you think this may mean for the 2026 and 2028 elections and if you have any other thoughts on what we should expect. As I recall Richard Tarnas comments on this in Cosmos and Psyche- the previous returns centered on D-Day 1944, 1860 and July 4, 1776, which sounds rather dramatic. He pointed out that the side of justice ultimately prevailed in those previous conflicts and I get the sense that we can expect a similar outcome given what you’ve written about the rise of women and people power.

Thank you. Yes, America has her Uranus Return at 3 Gemini so this is a break between the states and also a break with Canada and Mexico. You might be curious to see my US Astrology 2023 prediction here. I use a different chart to Tarnas but the US astrology chart here is tried, tested and trusted. The prediction about America was made on January 4th 2023 and new female leadership. This was a year ahead; on July 21st 2024, Kamala Harris announced her run for president. I also saw Donald in a long-term spiral down. As in, ‘Going, going, gone.’ So we wait! You are clearly a Tarnas fan (so is my friend Neil Spencer) so I will look at your chart in the context of macro-micro. Macro events affecting northern California and America, and the micro impact on you. You are a Sun Sagittarius man, with stelliums in Sagittarius, Scorpio, Libra, Leo and Aquarius. The old days of globalisation, mass immigration and multiculturalism which dominated years ago (when the power planet Pluto was in Sagittarius, the sign ruling foreigners and foreign countries) are under threat. Donald began this with Jupiter in Gemini, pushing back against Sagittarius factors in millions of people’s charts. It will continue apace, from now until 2033 even when the leadership changes. So, be savvy with your plans to travel, emigrate, welcome immigrants, refugees, tourists and so on. Repeated shocks are coming. The last time we saw Uranus in Gemini was, of course, the war. One reason for this is the end of language barriers (Uranus in Gemini). The biggest obstacle to global solidarity between different nations has been the Great Wall of Internet, but also basic comprehension. You could add, unwanted immigration by voters who have turned towards Donald in America and are turning towards Reform in Britain. That last point is important because Uranus in Gemini seems likely to radically change that. Thus one of the last few remaining barriers to a genuinely potent, effective and diverse world body of leaders (putting women front and centre) goes. The timing for a state separation is not 2026 – it is by 2033 – and the separation may take different forms. There may be an administrative, economic and political separation, for example, or a physical border that was not there before. Uranus tends to see a complete break with the past and it ushers in independence and a fresh start. California + Canada sounds interesting!

I’ve been thinking of leaving the country as well (I could reclaim citizenship in Mexico and/or Spain), but the thought of it also fills me with dread because I’ve made my life here and now I’m on my own (divorced for 15 years, my only adult child lives in a different state), and with age I’ve become a lot less adventurous. I trust astrology too; it is older than the news headlines and it faithfully predicts future trends but also offers the comfort of knowing – we’ve seen it all before. Uranus in Gemini comes around every few decades and is always the pushback against foreigners and immigrants. It’s always about border control, passports, visas and citizenship. You are Mexican and Spanish and also American (three nationalities) so you are in the thick of it. The last cycle was…the last war. One thing about this Uranus in Gemini cycle, until 2033, is that it is easier to deal with if you commit to one country, one nationality, one place. For any number of reasons, switching and travelling will be blocked and stopped, more than it has since the 1940’s. This may be because of governments, but also airline collapse, the climate, economics and so on. At 7, 22 and 20 degrees you have Sagittarius factors in your Ninth House of foreigners and foreign countries, opposed by Uranus at 7, 22 and 20 Gemini so you need to be aware of the long-term. At 6 to 25 degrees, you also have a Cancer stellium in the Fourth House of home, home town, homeland, heritage, culture, history, the family tree and ancestors. If you are looking for a great cycle to embrace that, then it’s here, with Jupiter in Cancer until June 2026.

I never felt at home where I was born or in my parents’ (Mexican/Spanish) cultures, but I love where I live now and what being an American has allowed me to experience. What prompted the idea of leaving is watching what this country is turning into, rather than a heritage calling. So, if things will shift at some point, I’d rather stay put here and fix my house to sell it and move to a smaller, more manageable place. Unless, of course, Uranus kicks me out somehow! The sad figure in the Five of Swords represents the misery left behind after the battle we’ll be going through—emotionally, financially, and at every level. Ginger hair. It is in your initial card pull in this blog. 5 of Swords card has a red head and green clothing prominent. I looked online for images of politicians worldwide with strawberry “blond” hair, red hair. And then Jen Psaki came up in the feed. DT was quoted in the Business Insider: he described her as “ the woman with the really beautiful red hair”. At times Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Lynn Siebel, appeared as a strawberry blond. Interesting she coined the first lady job as the “first partner” position. Her eyes are green I read. Astrology Oracle card and a power couple like the Newsoms comes to my mind here. Malia Obama often has a red henna in her hair now: the Obama family is growing up with the country. The USA had a year stretch recently where the TV series (both seasons of) Wolf Hall aired – Damian Lewis (an Aquarian) has red hair and brought us weekly the lessons to be learned about having Henry VIII as a ruler.
I thought of clothing and uniforms. In a prior post I sent in, I exchanged thoughts with you that Zelenskyy would stop wearing only green and he did – he seems to be wearing deep blue (to my eyes) and black. Green is currently the color of USA army uniforms and there was last month the parade in Washington June 14th celebrating its establishment in 1775. The USA Continental Army wore swords with crimson sashes: this army represented 13 colonies initially before the Revolutionary War. For a long time the British influence of blue coats was prevalent and now I believe blue is for dress uniforms mostly in the US. Republicans wear red hats and ties and Democrats wear blue.

Jessica, as always thank you for the deep insights – it is almost like psychology and astrology together. On another note- you were spot on about something important. Months or years ago in your posts you said that the Epstein thing was not going away. Given the traction its getting in the news I feel his (JE) ghost is stirring trouble for all those who colluded with him and will not rest until every last vestige of everyone’s involvement is made public. Dead men do speak. The tragic part in this whole awful depressing saga are the poor young girls involved in all of this.

We may have to wait for Jupiter in Leo, mid 2026 to mid 2027, but you would expect that to be the usual Jupiter repair job with Leo issues (underage sex, children, teenagers) which I first spotted way back in July 2017. I was drawn to Lolita. I don’t believe the nickname for Epstein’s plane (The Lolita Express) appeared in public until 2019, so two years later.
