Take the New Journey Carefully
A New Moon is always a new journey. A new beginning. Why should you take this one carefully? Because it is a binding commitment. It comes with heavy restrictions in 2026, 2027 and the first quarter of 2028.
Saturn in Aries is alongside this New Moon. Saturn is the astrology symbol for patience. A waiting game. Only on April 12, 2028 are you released from the slow ticking of the clock and the heavy turn of the calendar. So, for example, if you are a Gemini, you would really measure what you are about to do with a group – be it a band, political party, club or Substack.

Chiron brings experiments to see what you and others can get away with. The so-called unthinkable, often happens with Chiron. What is supposed to be beyond the pale, or out of the question – can be delivered. The goalposts move. You will sometimes see Chiron mistakenly described as ‘a wounded healer’. He does turn up when there is risk-taking surgery (like a heart transplant) or daring laboratory ventures (like test tube babies) but he is a teacher, not a wounded healer. He teaches us that what traditional and conservative people cannot accept – is frequently exactly what happens.

In taking a new journey this post really resonates with me, especially with it being a binding commitment with heavy restrictions so I’m trying to make the right choices as I don’t like the sound of being stuck in the exact same position into 2028. I feel like I’ve been playing the waiting game for years already. I’ve been using your Tarot to guide me. Thank you. You are a Sun Capricorn woman, with stelliums in Capricorn, Libra and Cancer. The Fourth House of your solar and natal chart shows choices about your house, garden, apartment or other residence by June 30th which offer you big solutions or huge opportunities. You can’t escape the restrictions or limitations which also come with your home life, but over the next few weeks, you would be shown what could be bigger and better. It is very common for people to buy a larger home and take out a binding mortgage, for example. Or they are offered a low rent on a superior home, to share with a friend, but the low rent involves committing to doing the housework for them for the next couple of years! It’s on that level. The family circle or household also shows choices. These solve issues or open up big new doors by June 30th but again, until 2028 you would find there is an unavoidable waiting game involving a relative, flatmate/roommate or live-in partner. So much for the Fourth House. Your Seventh House is also lit. You have transiting Jupiter in Cancer in your solar Seventh House of duets, double acts, pairs and couples until June 30th. You are a Sun Libra man with Libra and Leo stelliums so partnership, the bedroom, children, stepchildren all loom large in 2026 and 2027. You don’t say if you are single or in a relationship; a father or not. Yet this is where the focus is, in both your solar chart and natal chart. Take your time with anyone new and take your time with decisions about any existing partnership. You will have to do this anyway as until early 2028 your hands are tied. Yes, Chiron in Aries is a long cycle. The reason astrologers are talking about this Aries New Moon is the unusually large number of factors, including Chiron, all in the same sign. In the Natural House system, they are heavily accenting the First House of image, name, reputation, physical appearance and profile. You have had your Chiron Return in Aries or will have it. I can’t see a chart here so I can’t tell you which. Chiron in Aries in the First House is the lifelong quest to see what you can get away with, in terms of your portrait or reflection. We find it when people pretend to be somebody else online, or when people experiment with their hair, cosmetic surgery, glasses and so on.

Thank you. Well, if your real estate scene is anything like mine, you are required to promote yourself with your name and face on billboards. Aries rules the First House, long associated with the head and face – and also being ‘in your face.’ It’s also about competing. Being upfront and front-and-centre. It suits this part of your nature and it also suits the astrological weather now, which is very much about using your image. You have a huge Taurus stellium in the Second House of finance and real estate so this is also second nature. My only issue is Saturn and Chiron in Taurus (Saturn is there for the entire world, from around the time of the next American election). We are all up for a period of belt-tightening, economic restrictions and big limitations on what we can do, financially. You will experience about 2-3 years of this and therefore you need to research whatever career path you are taking extremely carefully to see what the income realities are. A transfer of power. “They’re changing guard at Buckingham Palace – Christopher Robin went down with Alice.” You are about to see the end of years of instability and impermanence in your working life, no matter if this has been paid work, unpaid work (like housework) or study. Dear Jessica, this new moon will oppose my natal Mercury at 26 degrees, which conjuncts my Sun at 21 degrees Libra. I’ve worked as a translator from home from the past 20 years, however, work has stalled since 2026, as if someone turned off the lights. I’m currently serving as my 85-year-old mother’s driver, and somehow assistant since she has hearing and eyesight problems, but I’m concerned about not being able to work again having to assist my mother because I have almost no control about my schedule, aside from the fact that in my 50s and that affects job prospects.

I have only one Libra factor (Vesta at 5 deg.) and two Aries factors (Fortuna at 28 degrees and Jupiter at 18 degrees), but stelliums in Cancer, Gemini, and Virgo, plus several factors at or near 27 degrees. Have been working at a general relaunch/resurrection, with a new and intense (for me) fitness program, better diet, inner spiritual/psychological work, revamped hair and skincare, etc. It’s time to blow off the shackles of the past and put my best face forward. Yes, the issue with Aries transits is that for a certain kind of man, with a heavily loaded Aries chart, it doesn’t take much to light the fuse. Flying is always Sagittarius/Ninth House and if it’s short haul, say from Auckland to Sydney, it’s Gemini and the Third House. The entire world is going through one upheaval after another here (we ain’t seen nothing yet, actually) and May, June 2026 looks like a moment of truth. So are you personally affected and if so, how? And what can you do? You have Hygiea at 0 Gemini in the Third House of short haul travel, which may be within Europe or within America, for example. Uranus goes to 0 Gemini in the final week of April and in May so there will be a shock to the system then. The lack of certainty and stability about your job, but also your role with this older person, will stop in the final week of April. It’s a pleasure. The Chiron Return is about a familiar story, involving maverick attempts to get away with the so-called outrageous or unthinkable, regarding your appearance. Your name, reputation and title, too. You have done this before. Chiron in Aries in the First House is about the attempt to aim, shoot and hit an apparently unthinkable target with your face, shape, style, name, brand and so on. It is very common to see people using a false identity on the internet on this transit, for example.
