Aries

March 21 - April 19

Friends and groups don’t really give you the reins until you find the strength to let go of the old life (and your old self) and instead find a new game to play – preferably, one which is about the inner you rather than the outer show. Pluto challenges you to look inside yourself to the very core and find what you are really made of. It is these qualities which will empower you now. It’s also common to go through experiences which give you incredible control and influence at this time – if you have the self-control. To keep your sense of self, you will need to go excavating and find yourself as you really are. Yes, even on social media.

Alicia Fulton, Rachel Wells and I just released Lifesweeping – the updated version of the most popular digital guide on my website – Lifesweep. I first met Alicia at ELLE and Rachel and I recently worked on Your Birthday together (Hachette). We enjoyed working on this. I hope you like it.

Taurus

April 20 - May 20

This is a long-haul career, academic career and vocational cycle. Every ending that you experience now (or experienced in 2025) will force a new beginning, a new life for yourself and a new sense of who you are. ‘There must be more to you than this,’ is Pluto’s challenge to you at this time. Nuclear, atomic levels of power now exist in your workplace, profession, university, college or unpaid work sphere. Handling that collectively is not something that comes automatically. It has to be earned and learned. It is also true that Pluto can feel as if somebody else owns the Enola Gay and you don’t. The trick with this cycle is to find a path where the need for power on all (both) sides is the key.

Gemini

May 21 - June 20

Your family and your career are on rotation with the nodes. If you don’t work, this is about study or an unpaid role. The North Node is also known as the Dragon’s Head. Astrologers associate the North Node (and the South Node, its opposite) with life 18-19 years ago and you will now face people, situations and places which are strangely familiar. They may come disguised in different ways, but what unfolds will essentially be something you know very well. Expect a ‘been there, done that’ feeling about the set-ups, individuals or issues which turn up now. This cycle is easy to manage because it allows you to draw on experience and instinct. It finishes in July 2026. But, until then, karma rules.

Cancer

June 21 - July 22

The internet or media? You’ll find the people and situations you draw towards you now are ‘repeats’ from the whole course of your life 18-19 years ago. It may literally be a case of ‘same old, same old’ or the situation, plan, place or people may be familiar although repackaged. You have impressive inner knowledge to bring to the picture now. Even if you are not entirely sure where this knowledge is coming from, it will assist you. You have gone through several repeats of the South Node cycle you are facing now at different points in your history. Now is your chance to gain from everything you have learned to move forward.

Leo

July 23 - August 22

Let’s talk about the South Node in Virgo in your zone of money, business, charity, valuables and your life budget. The South Node is also known as the Dragon’s Tail. It is joined to the North Node and the two travel together in opposite signs through the finance and real estate houses of your horoscope until July 2026. This delivers people, places and experiences which are all too familiar from 18-19 years ago and the sense that you may feel you’ve ‘been there, done that’ is common now. Like Bill Murray’s character in the film Groundhog Day, you may be repeating the past on a regular basis now. However, the more you go over old ground, the more you will learn. The idea now is to grow. A family member or partner may be at the heart of karma.

Virgo

August 23 - September 22

Where your partner (of any sort) is concerned, it will not be until July 2026 that you can genuinely go forward as the universe is playing the same old tape. You may occasionally feel flummoxed in this cycle as nothing appears to be changing. It’s the same old thing – both in terms of what he or she says or does. Partners of all kinds appear to be glued to their patterns and no matter what you do to try and change things around you, life still seems to repeat itself as if you were stuck on a loop. Your breakthrough will come when you accept that life is stuck on the repeat button because it’s (ironically) the best way to get you to progress. So, you become more philosophical. Cheery, even.

Libra

September 23 - October 22

Health, fitness, wellbeing or mental health issues are not shifting, though they will in July 2026. Libra, the point that you realise life really is the same damn thing over and over, you should be able to see that your only option is to radically change your attitude to it – and to change yourself. Observe yourself each time the loop repeats. What have you learned about managing your lifestyle, your body, your mind and yourself? If changes are required, now’s the time to do it. You may end up becoming a Zen master. Use what/who never alters as much as you can. When you know what’s coming next, you can exploit it.

Scorpio

October 23 - November 21

Chiron now rules your health, mental health and fitness. From flab jabs to psychologists, Chiron dominates April. Chiron was the star of the show when the United Nations was born, during the U.S. Declaration of Independence and when Chris Bailey and Ed Kuepper created the first punk single. It can challenge you to attempt the most audacious acts and make the most outrageous decisions – for better or worse. Chiron was discovered in 1977, year of great punk rock, cloning and test tube babies. It’s about getting away with things that make people’s jaws drop. It is named after a centaur superhero famous for his skills with a bow and arrow. Perhaps, the success is in the outrageous attempt.

Sagittarius

November 22 - December 21

Chiron is now in charge of babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and younger people in your life. The symbol for Chiron, the centaur, looks like someone holding a bow and arrow. Just like a medieval archer, you will now find yourself faced with the seemingly impossible task of either hitting your target from an unthinkable distance or trying to hit several targets at once. The English astrologer Dennis Elwell equated Chiron with a kind of cocky impudence. It brings tests of nerve. How far can others go now? Watch out, because they’re going to try. This will either benefit you or be an issue depending on their intentions. And, of course, not everyone can get a bull’s eye. If your ‘aim is true’ to quote Mr. Costello, it helps.

Capricorn

December 22 - January 19

Your house, apartment, garden, land or real estate is key. Chiron will ask you the same question as last week. What ‘impossible’ thing can you now attempt? Is it enough to be confident? Or do you need more time, more preparation and more practise? This cycle tests the parameters of possibility. If you succeed, it will clearly change the boundaries of what is realistic, acceptable and allowable in your world. This cycle asks, “Can I get away with it? Can they?” The West Australian Astrologer Zane Stein thinks Chiron is a maverick. You make up your own rules when it touches your life, and you do your own thing even outside your own group. Even the punk rockers didn’t conform – they all went their own ways. Just how Sid can you be?

Aquarius

January 20 - February 18

The intense focus you can expect on your character, spirit, style and general you-ness at this time is down to Pluto in Aquarius. Your appearance is your power. So, is your title. Your profile. And if something or someone else tries to dominate that, you have to push back. If you are naturally shy or a private person, this Pluto cycle can be challenging. You do have to ask yourself, “Who am I? What do people think of me? How do people really see me?” The First House where Pluto now transits is about your name, face, reputation, image and appearance. It’s about your surface as opposed to your substance. Wow-factor power just from your face, shape or style is earned slowly over time. All effort is worth it. Pluto is a little bit like a mind gym though. Maybe you’re also using a real gym, Aquarius.

Pisces

February 19 - March 20

This can be an amazingly illuminating time for reviewing the last 2018 – 2025 period in terms of your brother, sister or cousin. The Sun in Taurus until May says, “How are you doing? How are you rating? How do you feel about the way other people view you and your sibling or cousin?” If your ego is wonderfully massaged now, then you’re clearly projecting the right image out there or sending the right signals. If you find yourself bursting with pride in the most public way, then you’ll know that the work you’ve put into this is paying off. And if you feel invisible? Or too scrutinised? Or even overlooked? Then listen up. The Sun is highlighting what you most need to pay attention to so that by this time next year, you can shine brightly – or even brilliantly – as a brother, sister or cousin.
