The March 13 Virgo Eclipse and You
An eclipse is always a blind spot. This one takes place on a Full Moon. The Moon is at 23 Virgo 56 and the Sun is at 23 Pisces 56. In actual fact, this eclipse is far more about the Pisces zone of your chart, than the Virgo zone. Why? Because whatever is ruled by Pisces in your horoscope is about to see two big endings. One in the final week of March. Another in the final week of May.

Greetings Jessica. The “two big endings” sounds ominous. I’m a Scorpio and wondering if I should look at Scorpio, Virgo or Pisces above. I have Hygeia at 23 Virgo and Chiron at 23 Capricorn. I also have Proserpina at 22 Aries. There are a few issues in my life I would love to see come to an end but others I don’t want to face, so I would very much appreciate clarification. Your two big endings involve courtship, the bedroom, pregnancy, babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and Generation Z. Endings are not ominous here, as you lose confusion (years of muddle) and you also lose a waiting game (a long test of your patience). It’s hard to say more without knowing anything about you. You don’t say if you are married, single, straight, gay, a mother and so on. But expect – final chapters about previous fuzzy boundaries and a particularly onerous test of patience.

The Ascendant is the least important part of your chart and depends on a strictly accurate birth time. If you have it, though, your image is part Jeeves, part Mrs Bridges. You ‘do’ for others and the only thing that would ever stop you is ill health. Needless to say, you don’t pursue work or health matters (in image terms) on an eclipse. You would not sign up for a gym, for example, because you probably have no idea that the gym has plumbing problems or men in the women’s change rooms!

Just skip them. No need to be terrified by an eclipse. You would not turn onto a dark road with no street lights or headlights on the car. You’d stick to the highway. In general, avoid fork in the road choices on an eclipse. You have no idea, cannot see and will not know. And then get on with your life once they’re over.

Thanks Kara. You will make or save money if you take the opportunities offered to you in March, April, May and part of June. From July you will find sudden, quite radical changes to your budget and by 2026 it becomes clear that you will need a new way of saving and spending, and a different way of handling the bank, insurance, superannuation/pension, savings, credit cards, real estate and so on. What you will gain is freedom. You won’t know why until you get to the second half of the year. Your life at university will transform over a number of years, as you see reshuffles towards the end of this year and into early 2026. You will go where the power is, so if you find your current staff and employers genuinely give you the controls, you will remain and go higher. If you feel disempowered by what is going on, you will switch to a field where you can hold the reins. Promotion is possible and depends on your willpower and self-control as the politics at the university or in any other profession will be complex.

Jaana, the muddles involving friends and groups will end in 2025 and be gone completely in 2026. Ever since 2011 you have been drawn into friendships and circles where there are no boundaries. Aries Sun 25 degrees/Cancer ascendant here. This eclipse falls on my IC (23 degrees Virgo) and will be opposite my MC (23 Pisces, which will also be conjunct transiting Saturn that day). Your IC and MC depend on a strictly accurate birth time, so if you have that, then your Immum Coeli in Virgo suggests you come from a family where one doctor, nurse, surgeon, invalid or person with a disability had a huge impact. You ‘come from’ that background even if it was two or three generations ago. The trick with an eclipse is just to steer clear. You cannot expose and explain what is covered up, because by its very nature, it is behind a locked door. The best example I can give you is the honeymoon of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. They departed on the day of an eclipse and nobody had a clue about Mrs Camilla Parker-Bowles, because she had not even been on the radar. With work and health (Virgo matters) and a Virgo stellium, you avoid judgements and decisions on the same, at an eclipse.

You will find years of confusion and a lack of boundaries, stops at the end of March. Neptune in Pisces has been in opposition to your Virgo factors, leading to muddle and also a distinct lack of clarity about rights, roles and responsibilities. Very interesting about the health cover up. I feel like it’s already begun with Americans not being told about what’s happening in their own country now, what with bird flu and medical research being slashed, and then there was that bat killing people a week or two ago elsewhere across the globe. It feels like something is brewing.
I have nothing in picese, but is it possible that by the end of the year my ex (who has managed to avoid all responsibilities for his 3 children for 5 years now) will finally be made to face up? I also have a an incredibly important meeting on the 13th, cancelling and staying home is not an option as these people are just visiting Australia for one day. So I guess the best move is to go through the motions and not take anything at face value.

Yes, there is classically a diversion on an eclipse, so who/what takes the headlines about public health, is not the story. Your meeting is unavoidable on eclipse timing, but just assume you are not seeing the whole picture and judge accordingly. If there is a get-out or postponement option then have it up your sleeve, as you have a stellium in Virgo and the Sixth House (work) and of course that’s where this eclipse lands. The situation with your ex sounds quite unfair and wrong, and also typical of aspects to Scorpio in your chart (Scorpio rules sex, death and money – so mortgages, life insurance, inheritance, legacies and child support, as well as divorce settlements). You also have a stellium in Scorpio and have been through the 2018-2025 cycle (ongoing) of Uranus in Taurus, in opposition to Scorpio, which delivers opposition in the real world as well. It ends in July when the pressure is off, for whatever reason and is gone in 2026 altogether.
How does this eclipse affect Donald Trump?
There is no reliable birth chart data for Donald, unfortunately. In general, the eclipse is a cover-up. In Virgo it is about public health, so all eyes on Covid, HIV-AIDS, Bird Flu and so on.
I’m a little unnerved by this as I have a routine surgery on 3/14 right after the eclipse and will be sedated. I already have some mistrust of medical facilities and I have my north node in Pisces, 12th house. My sun sits at 23 Leo in my 5th house but I’m unsure what exactly all of these means for me in light of the eclipse.

The two endings are the finish of Neptune in Pisces (late March) then Saturn in Pisces (late May). For you, it is the end of years of confusion about finance, valuables and property tied to other people. Classically a boyfriend, husband, former partner, parent, sibling. There have been no boundaries for very long and this 2011-2025 cycle has frequently left you all at sea, in different situations each time. For whatever reason it stops as March ends. There is a second ending as May finishes, when a set of restrictions and a heavily ring-fenced situation, vanishes. As for America, take a deep breath and relax in the knowledge that power is with the diverse global group among which women are front-and-centre. Mars Retrograde in Cancer is – backwards action about the house, the apartment, the town – and so Tropical Cyclone Alfred is indeed walking backwards and forwards. The eclipse has nothing to do with Alfred, but in both your charts, you have enough 23 degree factors to warrant bypassing fork-in-the-road decisions on the day. About anything, actually. The cover-up is most likely because of nefarious activity by the enemy, or a desire to escape class action lawsuits by corporations – or politicians’ desire to hide a problem. This is a cycle which repeats every 18-19 years with public health so we know what to expect. A diversion is very common. Our eyes are led to X but the real story is Y. No need to be nervous, just skip the eclipse. On a different note you have a huge Gemini stellium so a revolution with the internet begins for you in July and takes you past 2030. It will be exhilarating and liberating.

Thank you. You have a huge Scorpio stellium in the Eighth House of ‘sex, death and money’ to give this its basic nickname. It is always about marriage (‘Until death do us part/for richer for poorer/for better for worse’) and of course the will made out between husband and wife. You are almost at the end of a very long cycle when Uranus in Taurus was in opposition to every Scorpio factor you had. It began in 2018. Your North Node is in Pisces in your Twelfth House, not your Third House, if you use the Natural House System. Your finances will be far easier to manage in the second half of 2025. A new arrangement may be suggested by your accountant, or a new direction set by politicians will mean you are no longer operating with the same tax rules. If you have been baffled by what a parent or sibling intends for a will (say) then for reasons not yet known, this stops by June. What you will notice most of all with your bank account, house or apartment after May, is the new clarity and certainty.

There are two endings for you with finance and/or property. The first one is the ending of years of confusion, as you have had no boundaries with other people. So, for example, you have employed and paid your friends. That has led to muddle over the nature of the friendship. Or – you have family members who are confusing and confused – and it has affected the terms of a will. This stops in late March. The other classic example is a boyfriend who is unclear about the real-estate or banking, or a husband who is all over the place when it comes to talking about what you owe each other, or who pays for the car – and so on. The second ending is about a more recent matter, still going on now, where you are made to wait. And wait. And wait. This closes as May also closes. Just skip the eclipse day for choices about all this – you’ll be in the dark.

Your better job will come along after June 2025 and by June 2026 you will be in a hugely improved situation if you take the opportunity. It may not be perfect, but do not let perfection prevent you from having what/who is so heaven-sent. Your son requires slow and very considered, highly strategic measures – not only with him, but also with his father; other family members; teachers; therapists; psychologists and so on. The balance of power here is the key and the stakes are quite high, as you know. This will take some years to navigate so it is very important that you ask a lot of questions (and go on asking) and examine the nature of paperwork in particular. What have you already signed up for, and what might you sign up for in the future? Where is the control and who has it – how is it shared – and so on. If things are not in writing, it would be a good idea to pursue that, if you possibly can, so everybody is quite clear about the way a compromise between you all/both works.

Thanks Vikki. The biggest change you will notice is about finance and property, with a couple of chapters ending in late March and late May. Skip the actual eclipse. You would not discuss your family paperwork then, for example. Yet, for all sorts of reasons (taxation, an inheritance, a property transaction, a new business venture) you seem likely to be in a completely different place with money or real-estate in the second half of 2025. As for America, remember the vast majority of people there did not endorse nor sign up for what is taking place. The power is with the majority, particularly when joined to the new ‘Europe Plus’ which is emerging with Canada, the United Kingdom, France and so on. It takes time but it will work its way to the surface.

Skip the eclipse for judgements about partners, potential partners for the future, or former partners. This is the most important takeaway in your chart, by a country mile. You would not negotiate a break-up on this eclipse, or fill out a dating profile, or discuss having a second child with your husband. What you are set to experience in 2025 is the end of many years of confusion, though. The boundaries will be back. To date, there has been an awful lot of merging (no matter if you are still with this person or not) and a fair amount of muddle and befuddlement. That stops as Neptune leaves Pisces. Then, from the close of May, Saturn also leaves Pisces. Hello Jessica! I find all this very fascinating! I have a stellium in Virgo with Psyche 12. Pluto 20, Uranus 24 & Mars 28. In Pisces I have Chiron 21 and Saturn 22, almost 23 which is spot on with Eclipse degree. Saturn is the one I’m nervous about! My Dad will be turning 95 in Sept and he is really slowing down and feeling more arthritic pain!! I’m really hoping he will be around for a few more years, but time will tell. I had a full hysterectomy back on January 20th and have fully recovered. I noticed in my Natal Chart my planets in Virgo fall in my 2nd house and my planets in Pisces fall in my 8th house. So is it the 8th house (Natal) and 12th house I look at with this full moon/Eclipse on the 13th?? The whole family (not just your father) is about to become far clearer to you in 2025, but skip the eclipse as you will not see, and cannot possibly know, what is really going on with the family tree. Later on, as Neptune changes signs at the end of March, the fuzzy boundaries between yourself and some relatives and the regular confusion about particular branches of the family tree, will stop. Thank you. I love Scotland. Your most important factor here is the South Node at 24 Pisces, as your last incarnation involved religion (or the rejection of religion) and here you are again to obtain closure on that particular lifetime. You are currently going through Saturn, Neptune and the transiting North Node in Pisces, all in your Twelfth House of the soul, spirit and psyche. It’s not unusual to find an incarnation as a witch here, but we also find monks and rabbis. This might explain what has been happening since 2011 when Neptune first went into Pisces, as this has been years of oddly familiar experience with the church, alternatives to the church (like mediumship or the Tarot), auras, chakras, angels, psychology, psychiatry, hypnosis and all that pertains to your inner world. The eclipse dance of the Sun and Moon is in conjunction with your mother’s Sun – how she shines and is at the centre – so that is not the day for either of you to make big choices about her profile in the world. Mercury Retrograde – when people ‘walk back on’ announcements, and ‘go back on’ their word – is not worthy of dread. You have an IT project launching on it – which you can’t do anything to change, but you are a Sagittarian woman who has this cycle in her Fourth House of family and property (in Pisces) then in her Fifth House of close relationships and younger generations (in Aries). So it has nothing to do with work. It’s far more likely to be about a parent, or the apartment, or a young nephew. Turning to your birth chart for the other side of the story, that’s not about work either. In fact, if this is IT we’re talking about, what you are actually experiencing is transiting Pluto in Aquarius in the Third House of digital communication. And that’s life-changing. You want to become a life coach and are wondering about the course. First up, Mercury Retrograde is with you. It’s a good time for rehearsing and sometimes reversing and rewriting the first plan. Not so great for a branded career with your name on it, as Mercury goes backwards in Aries, which rules self-promotion. You obviously want a new career, so what does your whole chart say? You are certainly heading towards a crossroads decision about your role, goal, mission and ambition from the start of April (stage one) and then the start of June (stage two). Something which is a complete escape from reality is on offer. This may be paid or unpaid, purely academic or 100% paid professional. It is an alternative to the real world which comes with quite a heavy set of restrictions, from June. Just be aware of the last bit. An opposition in astrology is like the opposition in football. You go back to the bench at half-time and figure out what to substitute. You also plan for the opposition by studying them. I slipped on ice and broke two bones (lower leg and ankle) on 12/26/24; had surgery on 12/31/24, and just came home today, 3/8/25. I’ve been with family while I recovered and was non weight bearing. Thank you. Neither Pisces nor Virgo has anything to do with property or travel, but your chart might show something else going on. You’ll have made your final decision on property by 2026 and could sign off suddenly by July this year. What you receive in return is freedom, so this may be liberating yourself from a mortgage as you wish. Travel is more likely to be to neighbouring places rather than round-world destinations, and would start to come together after May 2025.

Robyn, oppositions in astrology are like football. You play to your strengths with your Mars in Virgo in the Sixth House, and fall back upon strategies you know work well for you – with workload and wellbeing. Saturn is the main player here, but the Full Moon will highlight the need to defend (perhaps) or attack goals. You will meet Saturn as a situation, person or organisation you find extremely heavy and hard to tackle (another football analogy). It is not impossible, though – and if you are old enough you will have done it around age 28/29 anyway. For an easier game of life, don’t make the Full Moon/Eclipse period the time you make dramatic choices about work, housework, unpaid work, mental health, physical health, study – it’s a big stretch and if you keep the stakes low, life will be a lot easier.

I am a Sun Taurus. I have written to you about my Mother’s flat and Will when she died in October 2021. My eldest sister Taurus sun revised Mom’sWill before she died and she became the only Executor amongst 4 sisters. A spreadsheet for Astrology Delivery is a good idea. ‘Some or all of what you want’ is the key. I recently had a reader who wanted to get back with her boyfriend. She didn’t, but he did offer to exchange homes with her for their next summer holiday. You are launching and updating products right across Mercury Retrograde and Mars Retrograde, so will hit flux. Rehearsals and reversals are normal. This may be because of situations beyond your control (technology fails, extreme weather interrupts schedules, other people go back on their word). Eclipses are easy. Just skip them. You can’t skip an entire retrograde transit, let alone two, but next time, check the dates. So i have pluto in virgo at 22° which kind of makes my intuition that something significant is on the horizon feel *somewhat* vindicated. I was recently gifted a new lenormand deck – i stopped reading all my cards, runes etc for several years as thiings were really awry and i didnt feel i could trust my own energies. In fact i didnt think i could trust anything anywhere at all. Life as i know it is somewhat different but not in the ways id hoped. I was dragged into a cover up a couple of decades ago which still drags on – not expecting any big changes there though…

The eclipse won’t affect you on March 10th. It’s far too early. You are concerned about the small income you get, as compensation for your accident at work. You are worried it will be removed. You are protected with finance, your house or apartment and your security thanks to a Jupiter cycle until June 2025. From July 2025, however, you may want to start looking at new and different ways of running your life budget. You have been thinking around the compensation, to date – but that will alter after July – for all kinds of reasons. In fact you will be free to invent a new and original way to save or make money from that month, for many years into the future.

Thank you. You have Cancer and Virgo stelliums so stand to gain enormously from Jupiter’s transit in Cancer, starting in June 2025 and finishing in June 2026. Successful redecoration, renovation or relocation is on offer, which you will know about by July 2025 – and by next year you may have taken plans for your house, apartment, garden and/or real-estate even further. Jessica, I’m an Aries with a Cancer Ascendent. In the past five years, my life has been through more than it’s usual ups and downs. Some of this has been caused by my daughter. I love my daughter. It’s over now, but you spent a long period of time dealing with the financial side of family, and the family side of property. Thank you for this post. I was recently thinking as I referred back to one of your answers from 2018 that I really missed the guidance in your answers in relation to one’s specific chart.
As for this eclipse, I don’t have much in Virgo or Pisces, but I do have Ceres at 23 degrees of Cancer and have been navigating a very challenging living and co-parenting situation with a Scorpio for the past few years.
There are many layers to this, including my child’s mental well-being once the separation becomes official. However, finances remain the main reason I am still in this situation. I wonder if my chart indicates whether I will be able to move forward and create a peaceful, happy home for my child, who deserves nothing less.
The upcoming eclipse comes across my Ceres at 23 degrees, which (based on your teachings) suggests there will be a compromise. I know that Pluto has entered my second house, and Jupiter will transition into Cancer in June, potentially bringing progress related to my second and fourth houses. Dear Jessica, I have a stellium in Virgo, and few planets @ 23 degrees. I am in mental health crisis and I am considering going on Short term disability leave but I am afraid to make that decision now as eclipses leave us in the dark and we should make such important changes at other times. I am a Sun Pisces (March 11) with Sun at 20 degrees, Chiron at 21 degrees and Saturn at 19 degrees – all in Pisces. I also have 4 Virgo factors – Pluto and Uranus both at 17 degrees, Minerva at 2 degrees and Hygeia at 28. And my ASC and DESC are at 23 degrees – Asc in Scorpio and Desc in Taurus. We are having a classic Virgo eclipse with a blind spot and cover-up about public health (in England, to begin with) as the NHS is abolished. In your own life, with a Virgo stellium, you need to duck and dive until the Moon has passed out of Virgo, so give your health insurance, doctor, surgeon, alternative practitioner, optometrist, pharmacist and so on a wide berth until the usual obscured period is over. Try not to assume or guess about your food, drink, drugs and so on, or any obvious issues like Covid, bird flu, measles, vaccinations as for a very short period of time the astrology transits in your chart are not helpful.

I am so very sorry your husband has lost his job after 25 years. Cupido at 23 and the MC (Midheaven) at 25 Libra are in your Seventh House of marriage. Uranus (sudden events) just passed 24 Taurus. So this is a rare transiting aspect known as Uranus quincunx Cupido and Uranus quincunx the MC. Meanwhile your husband has Saturn at 22 Aquarius, so again, we just had Uranus square Saturn in his chart. Just knowing what this cycle does can be useful. It is usually a shock. The eclipse played its part but hopefully he didn’t act or judge right away, as he has Pluto and Uranus in Virgo (workload, wellbeing) and that was not the day to take a fork in the road or make his mind up. The eclipse has gone. What you and he are left with is the planet of radical change, revolution, freedom and independence hitting both your charts. It can take time to understand that you have both been released from a situation that would have boxed you in; fenced you in. It may be understandably impossible to appreciate that when you are trying to deal with the financial issues! With stelliums in Virgo, Leo and Cancer, I’ve lately been real tired and fatigued both mentally and physically. There is weariness around my lack of work as I try to pivot to a different and hopefully money-making career/job. I have consistently been able to hold a job in advertising/marketing after several years in graphic design but all the signs are there to transition to something else. I substitute teach part time but it is not fulfilling. Several applications have been submitted in the field of art museums, galleries, higher institutions but I truly feel like I’m throwing darts at the wall. This eclipse has now been and gone, so set that to one side. Hopefully you avoided any major work or wellbeing decisions (ruled by Virgo) as I post the dates as far in advance as possible and also passed on a 2025 Astrology Calendar last year. So this is a different issue. You have Virgo and Cancer stelliums and are a Virgo man, so in both your solar (Sun Sign) chart, but also your birth chart, you have major transits in your Sixth House of workload, lifestyle, wellbeing, mental health, physical health, daily routine, service, duty, unpaid work and study. In your Virgo chart you have Pluto in Aquarius there for the first time in 248 years and he remains for the next 20. So this is a slow transformation. In your natal chart you have the South Node in Virgo, passing through your Sixth House, for the first time in 18-19 years. You are allowed to feel weary as you go through the transition. Teaching does not fulfil you. You’ve tried art museums and galleries. You have a tenant to help with the rent. This can and does turn around for you once Jupiter (solutions, opportunities) goes into Cancer (where you have a stellium anyway) from June 2025, until June 2026.
