Jupiter in Cancer is here for the first time in 12 years and will trigger big solutions for your house, apartment, family and household, but also with your town and country. The more factors you have in Cancer, the greater the impact on you with the first event taking place by July 2025.
At the same time, Jupiter will be in opposition to your Capricorn (success, status) factors challenging you to change. Jupiter challenges are always good challenges, though. So, new roles and goals – even though they may stretch you – will benefit you.
Capricorn (the mountain goat) aims high and climbs to the peak. There is usually only room for one or two at the very top. You are a Sun Capricorn woman with a Capricorn stellium, so Jupiter in Cancer will be in opposition to your Tenth House of career, academia and vocation from now until June 2026. Thank you. Tessa the dog is snoring away next to the computer – but I have to admit, she is rather lovely in her own Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bull Mastiff way. Jupiter-Saturn squares are always about what cannot be squared, or made to fit, or compromised over. They are always beneficial in the end, because Jupiter beats Saturn every time, but they are also challenging while they unfold. For example, you may have a problem with the water tanks on your property and run out of water in the bathroom, laundry and kitchen; in comes a plumber who not only fixes the issue, but also quotes you (affordably) on a new bathroom. Saturn at 1 Capricorn in your Tenth House is about your career, unpaid work or academic career. It describes restrictions, ring-fenced situations and heavy limitations. You now have Saturn at 1 Aries, Neptune at 1 Aries and Jupiter at 1 Cancer, circling this in your chart. Pluto is semi-sextile at 1 Aquarius, also circling. What this means is a complicated situation involving your staff, colleagues, employers (and so on) which reminds you of something you have encountered all your life; the need to be patient. Thank you. Jupiter oppositions are uncomfortable blessings. There are always mixed feelings about the huge opportunities or solutions, but in general, you would have to admit you are being offered something/someone very good indeed – despite the tug-of-war within. You are up for this more than once, until June 2026, with your professional life, academic choices or vocational options (unpaid work). What comes along may not fit the jigsaw, but the picture is still worth it. The gains you make in terms of your home, extended family circle, household, town and/or country would be a big factor in your choices.

Are you able to see if I have any favorable aspects to buy a house this year of next. I would even consider relocating. My husband recently collapsed due to blood pressure and we are looking to find a smaller place as our house is to big now we are getting older and I am concerned about his health. Also my mother just passed away recently and that has caused a rift in the family especially with my sister. So it’s all been quite stressful wishing my life improves soon .

That’s very kind, thank you. I am so sorry about your husband’s recent health crisis and also the loss of your mother, with your sister in a rift with you. That’s far too much for one year. What’s going on in your chart? You are a Sun Cancer woman with Cancer and Virgo stelliums in your Fourth House of family and home, home town, homeland and real estate – and your Sixth House of workload and wellbeing. The situation with your sister can be easily fixed as a solution will be offered between now and June 2026. You gain by moving, too, so watch for opportunities. Even if you have made up your mind about where/when try to stay open to all possibilities. In fact you may end up with more than one terrific choice in terms of a smaller residence. Fortunately I have your chart in front of me now and I can see your adroit use of the last Jupiter in Cancer cycle – you bought your house. You also have the classic ‘carer’ signature of the Cancer and Virgo stellium person, as the word ‘care’ is hidden in Cancer. Virgo rules the dutiful person who serves others with great attention to detail. Put them together and sometimes fate decrees you will look after a family member or partner, rather than field a career. There will be sudden and unexpected changes with Uranus in Taurus until July (even with weeks to go) and then again from November until April 2026. So nothing is fixed with your role. Thank you for your insights. I have factors both in cancer and capricorn. Im at a crossroad with my marriage and career. I do need to find a new job ASAP to continue paying my mortgage. Im in CA, US, I dont see interest rates coming down anytime soon. I wish I was able to refinance my loans before my severance at work runs out in August. Please tell me what future holds for my property and house. I would like to continue staying in my current house ( to be in the same school district) but reduced mortgage will help me a lot, it will take away some of the pressure and stress that i feel now as i look for a new job in this current job market. Thanks Priya. You are in California and have career, home and finance concerns and your job ends in August. You are a Sun Libra with Scorpio and Capricorn factors. Okay, so the financial uncertainty of 2018-2025 so far stops when Uranus is out of Taurus from 7th July. You get a break from the ‘predictably unpredictable’ with money and property, until November 9th. You then have one final few months of chopping and changing with your budget until it stops, once and for all, on April 27th, 2026. This is as much about the marriage, as it is about the bank and the home. Long-term, you need a plan for your real-estate situation and finances, as we have more Taurus cycles ahead. Dear Jessica. I was thrilled to see this post – thanks so much. And I would appreciate your insights about what’s in store for me during this transit. I have a Cap stellium with Cancer ASC. Capricornian-Cancerian themes and tensions have been prevalent over my 50+ years, sometimes wonderfully and sometimes quite challengingly. In 2014, during the last period when Jupiter was in Cancer, I benefitted from a bounty of real estate transactions, including landing my dream home. I joked that I had so much good fortune, that I was waiting for anvil to drop on my head…and it did. Even as a toddler, during the Terrible Two period, you had to deal with inner conflict about family members; usually parents. I started a new career earlier in 2025 and have an important visa change coming up before next spring (effectively permanently moving to the country where I got my masters and started my career). Thank you very much. The asteroids matter quite as much as planets, in modern astrology. We work with divination and size doesn’t really matter (!) which makes me want to write, ‘Oo-er missus.’ Diana at 6 Cancer in opposition to Salacia at 6 Capricorn describes the inner conflict you have about your own freedom and independence with the family (habitual) and the eternal need for space and autonomy within a household, no matter if you are living with a partner or sharing with flatmates/roommates. This will be triggered by Jupiter at 6 Cancer, in a way that benefits you, despite the usual tussles with yourself, or others, about your need to be free. So that’s next month. July 2025. Part of the inner tug-of-war is about your own ambition, position and mission in life.
