From April 25th 2026 until May 22nd 2033, Uranus (radical change) is in Gemini, altering a brand new area of your life.
Gemini, the sign of the twins, is about the two voices on any phone call and the two heads on any Zoom call. We all know about AI, but what is coming is a communication revolution.
In this psychic astrology feature I will look at the freedom this Uranus in Gemini cycle brings you in one area of your life, based on your Sun Sign. You will see it as early as June 2026 although the cycle runs to 2033.

Your Sun Sign and Uranus in Gemini
Aries
The sign before you, Pisces, experienced this cycle with brothers and sisters since 2018. If there is anything about the relationship you have with a sibling which fences you in, then you can expect a complete break with the past as it is time to become far more independent of him or her. Even if the bond with your brother or sister is strong and healthy, there will still be major changes for your sibling, or through them. The old order will fall away to be replaced by a new order. If there is anything about the media or the internet which you have found restricts you or even traps you, then it is unlikely to last. You may cut yourself off, for example, or find the old media or web game stops. If you have anything in Gemini in your birth chart then it’s personal; particularly with a brother or sister. Experimenting with neighbouring places, like Liverpool and London (which Ringo Starr did in the 1960s when he had this cycle) can be exhilarating even if you are only a few hours up the motorway. Uranus rules enlightenment so doing this can feel as if all the lights are going on.
Taurus
This is quite a long cycle so you have several years of financial and real estate changes ahead and it will pay you (literally) to be aware of all the different scenarios that might affect your house, any cryptocurrency, your apartment, business and so on. Uranus in Gemini is transiting your Second House of personal income and real estate. As the world is headed for economic challenges from 2028 onwards, it makes sense to keep your situation as flexible as you can – but also to do your research now. What could make you money or save you money? In 2026 and 2027, though, you are being asked to look at your own freedom and independence. Sudden events will liberate you from the way the budget used to be. You will be profoundly affected by Chiron in Taurus and also Saturn in Taurus ahead, as they will transit your natal Second House of life budget. This is also where your Sun is natally. Turning your old ideas about money, property and valuables on their head can set you free. For example, if you own a stately home you may decide to let the fee-paying public in as a sideline venture.
Gemini
Uranus in Gemini, your own birth sign, is in your First House of image, title, reputation and appearance. You will be recast in the eyes of the world if you wish to be; more so if you have ever felt boxed in, labelled and stereotyped, Gemini. A new role, either professionally, academically or in an unpaid capacity, will enable you to rebrand. It’s the same, if your career (for example) or academic career fences you in. It is very unlikely to last and if you do break with the past, you will be unshackled overnight. Alterations to your appearance, like weight loss, dramatically different hair and so on – also set you free. Breaking out of the old look is a way of letting the world know you can be anyone you like. If you have factors in Aries in your natal chart, then this cycle is twice as important and a relaunch and makeover is likely. Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson both had this cycle in the 1960s and are good examples of the ‘liberation of experimentation’ with image which can occur. This happened even when Michael was a small child.
Cancer
Very few people will know how much you are changing on the inside on this cycle as you may be covering things up, or just pursuing the new path by yourself. Uranus in Gemini will transit your solar Twelfth House. You may be seeing a counsellor, for example, or talking to a doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist. This cycle is intensely personal and your priority may be religion, for example. The Tarot, psychics, mediums, meditation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and dream coaching are also associated with Uranus in Gemini in your solar Twelfth House. If you have anything in Pisces in your birth chart, then the final week of July ends a long period of stuck and repetitive situations, affecting the above. It is also common to go through a period of hibernation, or sitting on the sidelines, on this long cycle. It’s liberating. Distance healing using light is also a Twelfth House matter. This could also allow you to break free. If religion has confined you psychologically or emotionally, that religion could easily be rejected with Uranus in the Twelfth.
Leo
Uranus in Gemini will transit your Eleventh House of social media, friends, groups and people power. The people power comes partly from a much bigger cycle affecting the whole world; Pluto in Aquarius. Diversity within a community will prove to you what men, women, black, white, gay, straight, working class and upper middle class can achieve together. This long cycle takes some years to fully develop, but you are already part of a circle which can achieve control together, or you will become part of one. If a friend or group has restricted you it is unlikely to last. You are also destined to make new friends and join new communities which set you free. A radically different version of your old group will also be liberating. Leo, if a political party, rock band, trade union or similar really does trap you, it’s decision time. Neil Young, Grace Slick and Joni Mitchell had this cycle in the 1960s. Going in and out of groups or being around an unpredictable group is normal.
Virgo
This long Uranus in Gemini cycle is about your career, academic career or unpaid role (for example, as a volunteer, or carer). Because it takes place at the same time as Pluto in Aquarius, in your Sixth House of workload and wellbeing, that’s a double change cycle taking you to 2033. As if that wasn’t enough, Virgo, starting on July 26th 2027 you have about 12 months of rare opportunities and solutions for your professional life, studies or unwaged position. At this time, promotion, a big hit or an impressive new job will be within reach. Most of all, though, this cycle is about finding new independence and room to move. You may develop one or two side hustles, for example, which give you a break from your usual role. If anything about your staff, colleagues or employers keeps you fenced in, it will not last. Even if you stay put, the nature of the arrangement will shift radically, in a break with the past. Tina Turner and Jimi Hendrix both had this transit in the 1960s. So did Bruce Lee. They came from backgrounds which gave them a traditional set of career options, but threw those out in favour of unconventional, unique new careers. It is typical of this transit that you carve out a niche for yourself as a one-off in your chosen field. So, for example, you may become a musician or actor, but unlike anyone else.
Libra
This cycle coincides with emigration or a gap year for many – perhaps a long holiday abroad. Uranus in Gemini will transit your Ninth House of foreigners and foreign countries for a number of years. In fact you may have already found yourself experimenting with a trip away in 2025. This cycle is also associated with study, teaching, the worldwide web and publishing. The more restricted you have felt, even for years, the more likely you are to do something radical, like moving abroad, or marrying a foreigner. Perhaps, inviting foreigners into your life for financial or professional reasons. If it liberates you, Libra, you will do it. The last thing you or anybody else expected is often the first thing that happens on this transit, like writing a book (say) or landing on the lecture tour circuit. Going across cultures can be exciting and enlightening. Uranus transits are about breaking with the past, so even if you were culturally fixed 10 or even 20 years ago, what happens after April 25th 2026 will allow you to step out of that situation. Scorpio
This long cycle is about your money, business interests, real estate, charity commitments, valuables and also your values. Uranus in Gemini will transit your solar Eighth House, which is where you make decisions about the family inheritance; any trust fund; partnership finances; marriage and mortgage; any complex situation involving taxation and relatives. Scorpio is a fixed sign but you cannot be fixed about finance on this transit, as life will change suddenly and you need to be flexible so that you can adapt to very different conditions. It is wise to chat to a financial advisor about all case scenarios, including a deep shift in a partner’s circumstances. If your marriage or de facto relationship restricts you very tightly it is unlikely to last. At the very least it will be reshaped. Being the beneficiary of a will can also set you free, in an odd way, if you have found extended family finance shackles you. You may already have seen a few months of this cycle change your life budget, Scorpio, as it began in 2025. Sagittarius

Scorpio Bill Gates is no longer married. Scorpio Charles III saw his wife become his Queen even though years before it seemed impossible. Partnership shifts are not only personal on this cycle. They can be professional and/or platonic as well. Scorpio Joe Biden saw his White House partner Kamala Harris replace him in a bid for leadership. The rule with Uranus in Gemini in the Seventh House is to look at all scenarios as this planet has a reputation for delivering the last thing you or anybody else expected. If a marriage, work partnership or other duet has been extremely confined to date it will alter quite deeply and may not even last the cycle. George Harrison had this cycle in the 1960s when he was married to Pattie Boyd. His own independent search for Eastern spirituality affected their relationship and they ultimately broke up. Capricorn
This new cycle is crucial for you health, mental health and wellbeing. It is also very important for your workload, no matter if you have a career, an unpaid role at home, a voluntary position or full-time studies. Capricorn, at all points in this long transit, be honest about how much freedom you have – and how much independence you need. The more out of touch you are with your space requirements, the more likely it is that you will find yourself dealing with a health issue which make time off, or even a permanent departure, necessary. Do not let it get that far. You also need to be aware of any food, drink, recreational drug or other habit which is your way of saying ‘No’ but also not particularly good for you. Ideally, this cycle will see you radically changing your lifestyle so that you have the freedom of peak fitness. Experimenting with what work means to you, can result in exciting innovations. The Sixth House is about your role in the hierarchy at work; your place in the pecking order. You can feel like Mr. Spock on the crew of the USS Enterprise on Star Trek on this cycle. You have to have your own space even though you work on a tight ship. Autonomy and independence are central to you on this Uranus transit.
Aquarius
Uranus is your ruler and is associated with revolutionary change which sets you and other people free. Groundbreaking, radically different, highly experimental approaches to dating and the bedroom will be part of this cycle for you. At least in the eyes of other people! It’s the same with pregancy, babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and Generation Z. You do not have to be a parent to experience the new pathway to freedom and independence. It can happen because of a voluntary, unpaid role with a youth charity or a paid position as a nany or teacher. If you do have children, expect the classic Uranus Rejection Dance, where you say ‘No’ or you hear them saying ‘No’ to you. From this comes a period of breaking away that will give both sides space. If you don’t want an unplanned pregnancy don’t take risks. Sexually, the last thing you or anybody else expected, may be the first thing that happens. Uranus rules storms and a stormy marriage or de facto partnership can result if the tension is too great. The more stuck and stagnant a relationship is, when Uranus transits the Fifth House, the more shake-ups occur. Yet if you can both invent a way to be together which allows for staunch independence it can be a success.
Pisces
Perhaps you are already on the road to a different apartment, house or other residence, Pisces. Maybe you are already on the path to a new town or even country, to live in. This cycle will alter your living situation; the relationship with the family; the kind of household you have. In all cases you will be set free as Uranus is about breaking with the past in order to become independent. It typically happens suddenly; in a flash. The more hampered you are by your domestic situation, the more likely you are to do something drastic. It can happen the other way too; if you are not admitting to yourself that the family (say) or a particular rental situation (for example) ties you down, then life may surprise you and you will be unshackled. Family dynamics are also set to shift and the old system will be reshaped. Gemini Sir Paul McCartney had this cycle in the 1960s and his modest home in Liverpool and working class background was turned on its head as. he became rich and famous. Breaking free from the family tree is normal.

Uranus will transit your Third House for many years giving you far more independence from siblings and/or cousins, for a start. In fact, as Uranus in Gemini moves into a conjunction with various factors you have in this sign, the world will turn upside-down and throw you into a completely new relationship with a brother, sister or cousin.
Uranus is associated with revolution and also with new inventions. The Third House rules the internet, the media and fundamental communication – your speech, hearing, eyesight, literacy and any languages.
Innovations with technology which have not even been fully planned yet, will come to pass on this long cycle and take you to the next level. Everybody is talking about AI but the rejection of AI will also play a part in what is ahead. You can also expect a completely different web experience, particularly with social media, as Uranus transits are about the rejection of any set-up which traps you, or confines you. We will see a huge shift with Facebook, Instagram and X-Twitter ahead and some social media will simply not last.
